On The Young and the Restless, Sienna Bacall seemed confused when Nick Newman told her that her husband possibly had an alias. But she might be finding out the hard way how right Nick was.
Sienna, Mitch, and Noah on The Young and the Restless
It’s been an unraveling of information for Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) — and fans — to find out what happened to Nick’s son, Noah Newman (Lucas Adams). Noah was in a car accident, and by the time his parents, Nick and Sharon (Sharon Case) arrived at the hospital in L.A., he was in an induced coma in hopes it would help him survive.
Nick was determined to find out what happened to his son. The first clue was a phone call that came in on Noah’s phone, from someone named Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun), owner of a bar called The Shadow Room in Los Angeles — Noah’s last known location before his accident. Nick found out that Sienna knew Noah through her husband, Mitch (Roger Howarth), who wanted to invest in a nightclub Noah wanted to build in Los Angeles.
But things got weird when Nick was questioned by an investigator named Detective Burrows (Matt Cohen). He almost seemed like he was fishing for information, rather than providing it, and didn’t seem pleased that the police said an eyewitness reported Noah had been run off the road by another car.
Sienna Gets Questioned
On today’s episode of The Young and the Restless, Detective Burrows came to the Shadow Room to talk to Mitch, but ended up asking Sienna some pointed questions. When he mentioned that the accident was in Malibu Canyon, Mitch noted that it was near their home.
Of course, Mitch claims he wasn’t in town the night of Noah’s accident, so if Noah was going to the Bacall’s home that night, it wouldn’t have been to see Mitch — or so he claims.
When Sienna mentioned she’d called Noah, Mitch immediately zeroed in on it for answers, putting his wife in the hot seat in front of the detective. That would be strange enough, but before Sienna joined them, Det. Burrows asked Mitch what the plan was. Viewers also had seen him calling someone, now presumably Mitch, to report in after he’d questioned Nick and Sharon.
With the police (if that’s what Burrows truly is) in Mitch’s back pocket, and his wife out of the loop, all of the implied finger-pointing and targeted questions seem to be leading us to believe that Mitch is trying to involve his wife in the investigation.
Sienna might want to figure out sooner rather than later if her husband really is Matt Clark. If there is more to her relationship with Noah than she’s let on, Sienna — and Noah — could be in a lot more danger than anyone thinks.

On .The Young and the Restless, Roger Howarth made his first appearance today — but Y&R's Halloween episode had a ghost from the past that everyone...EVERYONE...thought was long gone. While Howarth may be new to the role of legendary Genoa City villain Matt Clark, Howarth know the audience. "Fans of daytime television are the best fans to ever walk the earth," he says

There is exciting casting news for fans of The Young and the Restless as the investigation into Noah Newman’s crash is bringing another addition to the cast.
Catherine Kresge on The Young and the Restless
On The Young and the Restless, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is realizing that there is something very odd about the way his son’s car crash is being handled. He’s in Los Angeles, where Noah (Lucas Adams) is in a coma in bandages at the hospital following a horrific car crash in a valley in Malibu.
Nick has been trying to find out what happened after an investigator alluded that someone may have run Noah off the road, rather than a single-car accident. However, the investigator never gave any ID and Nick is now realizing that his methods aren’t consistent with what he would expect from the police.
His concerns deepened when he realized that the “investigator” hadn’t even talked to Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun), the last known person to see Noah before the crash.
Catherine Kresge is joining the cast, and hopefully her character will help shine some light on the mystery. Kresge has been cast as “Detective Annie Stewart,” an LAPD detective assigned to investigate Noah Newman’s car accident.
Kresge isn’t the first newcomer to Y&R involved in Noah’s storyline. Matt Cohen recently had his first airdate as the mysterious investigator. Last we saw him, he was asking Nick a lot of questions, but then he called someone from outside of the hospital to report what he found out. Sienna Bacall, played by Tamara Braun, seems to have known Noah quite well. She was the last person to see him when he was at her bar the night of the crash, but she’s been reluctant to say too much. Sienna’s husband, Mitch, will be played by Roger Howarth. Mitch has been unusually absent — according to Sienna, he was supposed to come home the same night Noah had his accident, and Sienna had trouble reaching him in the couple of days afterward.
Catherine Kresge of The Young and the Restless
This is Kresge’s first prominent role in a daytime drama, but she’s no stranger to the camera. Viewers may recognize her from her other roles, including the feature films, Hello My Name is Doris, A Good Day to Die Hard, and Fantastic Four.
Kresge also has many television credits, including guest-starring roles on 911: Lone Star, SWAT, NCIS: Hawaii, and Chicago Med.
On The Young and the Restless, Kresge will appear in multiple episodes. Her first air date will be on Thursday, November 20th.

On The Young and the Restless, Cane asked Phyllis for help with his reputation. Instead, she stole his only leverage, the AI app. What’s really going on?
Phyllis’ Path to Redemption or Revenge on The Young and the Restless
On The Young and the Restless, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) was all in as Cane’s (Billy Flynn) eager sidekick. Finally, she had it all: she was teamed up with someone she could relate to, he had the means to make her enemies suffer, and she was being compensated in spades. Phyllis’ future was bright, and she felt like she was respected for her talents in a way no one else in town would give her.
But then it fell apart because Phyllis had a big revelation: Cane wanted her to help him restore his reputation in town. But what did that mean for her? Sure, Cane would make it back into the good graces of everyone, but it wouldn’t be a package deal. Cane would get all of his relationships back with the people he cared about, and he’d have to let her go to seal the deals. Once again, Phyllis would give all of her efforts, care about someone else’s success, and then be left in the cold.
Phyllis suggested that Cane pay her for helping him by giving her his AI app, a program feared by all businesses on her hit list. But Cane had a request: give him some ideas on how she could use something so dangerous for something good, and then he’d think about handing it over.
Is Phyllis Revenge-fueled or Looking for Redemption?
Phyllis is right about one thing: She’s a smart cookie. Seeing how her future would unfold, she took the opportunity to secure it. She hacked into Cane’s server and took the app for herself. Then she made a deal with Victor to give it to him to destroy Jack Abbott, and once he’d taken Jabot from him, he’d give it to her.
Sweet revenge tale, right? Maybe not. If the plan played out that way, Phylliis could be gearing up for a redemption arc instead. She’s had a rough week, watching everyone else seem happy, and being uncomfortably excluded as Danny (Michael Damian) and Christine (Lauralee Bell) celebrated their upcoming with people who used to be her friends. Worse, some harsh words were said about no one caring about Phyllis, and how no one ever would.
What if that was the moment that Phyllis had a revelation? What if she realized that the only way for Cane to redeem himself was to do something good with the app, and wanted to use it for herself instead?
Here me out. Phyllis is giving Victor (Eric Braeden) the app so he can finally exact his revenge plan on Jack (Peter Bergman) and destroy him by taking Jabot away. Victor has been living for this moment for years — and taking everyone along for the ride. Victor’s hatred and obsession with Jack has affected nearly everyone in his family, if not Genoa City. Maybe if he got the satisfaction of carrying through his plan, he would get it out of his system.
But after Victor did that, if he kept his word and gave Jabot to Phyllis, she could redeem herself by giving it back to the Abbotts. It would be unexpected, and they would finally see a different side to her…perhaps.

No problem! Read our recaps to get caught up on all The Young and the Restless episode recaps!

Y&R First Look! Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) made her first appearance this month on The Young and the Restless, but the cast is about to grow some more.
While Noah Newman has been in a coma and wrapped in bandages, we haven’t been able to see newcomer Lucas Adams in the role quite yet. But that’s about to change when Noah comes home on November 4th.
What’s in store for Noah once he gets back to Genoa City? Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will be interested in running into her old flame — but will he share the sentiment? Audra and Noah parted on bad terms in London years ago. Although they hashed it out eventually in Genoa City, there was a tangled, painful history there.
The last time Noah was in town, Audra told him that she was pregnant and had lost his child after they had broken up. This was something he never knew until that conversation. Knowing Audra the way we do, fans have always wondered what the truth was. Had Audra ever been pregnant, or was that a manipulation to tell Noah the story? Or, was she pregnant but never actually miscarried? Do Audra and Noah share a child — and if so, who is it and where are they?
Roger Howarth as Mitch Bacall
Roger Howarth is also about to make his first appearance on The Young and the Restless, when he shows up in L.A. at his club, The Shadow Room. Soap fans will recognize Howarth as the former Dr. Austin Gartlin-Holt on General Hospital, Todd Manning on One Life to Live, and Paul Ryan on Guiding Light.
On Y&R, Howarth’s character is married to Sienna Bacall, and so far has been elusive to viewers — and to his wife. Sienna has been trying to reach him as he was supposed to be home two days ago. Of course, two days prior was when Noah had his accident. Related? Count on it!
In photos, Mitch is seen at the Shadow Room talking to his wife at the bar. Where has he been, and why wasn’t he taking her calls?
Noah is in a coma now, but not for long. Expect to see him in Crimson Lights soon, along with Sienna Bacall herself. Photos show Sienna at the coffee shop, but who exactly is she meeting? The plot thickens as Sienna has met quite a few people from Genoa City — but has a past with some as well.
One other thing viewers will notice in the first-look photos: Directing the episode is none other than Elizabeth Hendrickson, aka Genoa City’s Chloe Valentine.

When we last saw Ian Ward, he was in the back of an ambulance and headed to the morgue at Genoa City Memorial Hospital. We thought it was the last of him, but then his eyes opened.
Did Ian Ward die on The Young and the Restless?
On The Young and the Restless, Ian Ward (Ray Wise) thought he had nothing left to lose. He had teamed up with Aunt Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk), fell in love with her, and the evil duo headed to Genoa City to get back what the Newmans had taken from them: Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Claire (Hayley Erin).
But after a series of bumps and missteps, or in real-world terms, murders, framings, and other evil plots, everything went sideways. The couple were separated, Jordan died, and Ian had some pretty big feels about it all. His finale came at the Newman Ranch — where he held the family at gunpoint. Both Victor and Ian were ultimately shot, and the Newmans were only concerned about helping one of them survive.
Ian had been declared dead when he was put on a stretcher and taken to one of the ambulances, but as it drove off to the morgue, where the body of his beloved was waiting, viewers saw his eyes eerily flash open. Since then, they’ve been waiting to see when and where he would show up next.
What's a Guy Like Him Doing In A Place Like This?
Ian’s last visit was more than just terrifying for the Newmans. Mariah felt guilt for his existence in their lives, and for the damage that he did — including killing Heather (Vail Bloom), kidnapping and nearly killing her mom, Sharon (Sharon Case), and trying to infiltrate her family by befriending her wife, Tessa (Cait Fairbanks). While she tried to suppress her feelings, memories of her childhood being raised by Ian and the realization of the influence he had over her got too much.
Mariah wondered how she could have done such awful things in her younger years. Sure, she was raised by a monster, but was there something in her that was just as evil as he was? It all came to a head when she went on a business trip months ago. In her hotel lounge, Mariah drank too much with a stranger who reminded her of Ian. They stumbled upstairs to her hotel room, and while he was vulnerable, Mariah tried to smother him with a pillow.
Did she have it in her to actually kill him, and he got away, or was she the one who stopped? Seems like Mariah needed to know just how much like Ian she truly was. Now in a mental health facility, trying to sort it out, Ian has appeared.
So Ian is alive?
Maybe. But not today. Ian’s visit to Mariah is all in her head. She just got done telling Sharon that she was going to get through this alone — and the only way to do that is to face her biggest fear. Confronting Ian in her mind, Mariah will try to make sense of all of the feelings and thoughts she is having trouble navigating.
Only problem is…who knows how to mess up Mariah’s mind better than Ian? Without guidance from a counselor, and moments after feeling rejected by her mom (because she didn’t know Sharon was talking to her from Noah’s hospital room), Mariah’s on a dangerous path.
But Ian’s dressed like the cult leader she was raised by, and he’s got the card — that had most definitely been ripped up. Regardless if the real Ian is alive and unwell, lurking in the shadows somewhere while he makes his next plan of attack, we’re about to find out if Ian, as a figment of imagination, is just as dangerous as he is in person.

Fans of The Young and the Restless with Apple TV+ will recognize a familiar face on their screen as the new trailer for Pluribus has begun airing.
The Young and the Restless Star In New Show
As the trailers play when Apple TV+ starts up, a familiar voice immediately grabs your attention. “Hi Carol, thank you for calling,” Peter Bergman is heard saying. Peter Bergman is, of course, the legendary Jack Abbott on The Young and the Restless, and his voice is unmistakable.
In Apple’s new show, Pluribus, Bergman is speaking to Carol, played by Rhea Seeborn. As she is tight-lipped on the phone, Bergman’s character speaks to her from the White House press room. He’s on camera while she’s called in, and it’s being covered by C-SPAN.
“This must be so bewildering to you,” he says empathetically, adding, “Completely up to you, of course, but you might want to stick close to home for the next few days. If there’s anything we can do to help, please let us know. We can deliver food, medicine — whatever you need. We are here for you. Rest assured, Carol, we will figure out what makes you different.”
Carol, however, doesn’t seem pleased with the federal assistance. “Figure it out, why?” she asks nervously. “So we can fix it…so you can join us,” Bergman says into the screen with that signature grin.
Bergman pauses as he looks at the camera. “We feel we’re doing all the talking here. Are there any questions you might have for us, Carol?” he poses. Breathless, Carol responds, “I guess to start with…what the f—?”
Created by Vince Gilligan (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul), Pluribus also stars Monae Lott and Monique Lott as twin sisters. The show follows Carol, also known as “the most miserable person on Earth, who must save the rest of the planet from happiness.”
In July, Gilligan told Deadline, “I’m excited for audiences to see Rhea play a very different character than the character she played on Better Call Saul.”
Seehorn also told the outlet of Gilligan, “In this new show, he pushes that to a limit that was both very thought-provoking and upsetting sometimes, and other times, so, so funny. It really swings for the fences. I had so much fun.”
Apple has ordered two seasons of the sci-fi series (so far). The show will premiere two episodes on November 7, 2025, as part of a nine-episode first season.

Get your DVRs ready, and break out the confetti. The 53rd season of Y&R starts today, and we’ve got a fall preview of what’s about to happen.
The Cast of Season 53
As previously announced, the cast is going to grow soon. Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) are about to meet up with their son Noah in L.A., although Nick is having trouble getting out of town. Regardless if they make the trip, we can expect Noah to return to Genoa City, now played by Lucas Adams (Tripp, DAYS). Also connected is nightclub owner, Sienna Bacall, portrayed by Tamara Braun (who, ironically, played Adams’ mom on DAYS, Ava Vitali).
Roger Howarth is also set to join the cast; however, his role has been (so far) kept under wraps. Is he related to the man, Will Hensley (Michael Swan), whom Mariah (Camryn Grimes) tried to kill in a hotel room? Is he a new Tucker McCall? It’s quite possible that he is there to reprise a known character. As head writer Josh Griffith told TV Insider last month, “I think that this year, especially, we’ve been able to really home in on the core legacy characters and have them front and center, driving story. We’re really playing to the show’s strengths of family and power and romance and mystery.”
Matt Cohen (Griffin Munro, GH) will also be joining the show. He will be playing Detective Burrow, who will not only be replacing Genoa City’s finest, Detective Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), who was murdered at Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) French estate this summer — but will be at the helm of a major new case revolving around Noah Newman. This week, Sharon’s “mom senses” have been on overdrive, and she has been convinced that Noah is in some sort of turmoil. It seems she is correct as all four newcomers are connected in Genoa City, and Noah is “in a very dangerous situation," and Cohen's first airdate is October 16th.
Nick + Sharon = Shick?
Griffith noted that Sharon and Nick’s reunion got a slow start, but Noah’s drama will thrust them together again. “This is the time for Noah to be at the center of their concern and their need to solve the mystery that we’re setting in place,” he added.
Cane’s Takeover of Genoa City
Although Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has asked Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to shelve their decades-long rivalry and work together against Cane, Victor has’t given his word. And there’s a good reason for that: Victor believes he doesn’t need Jack’s help, it’s a family affair.
But Victor’s not only going to be disloyal to Jack, he wants to attack him while he’s vulnerable. Diane (Susan Walters), however, isn’t going to let that happen on her watch. She is tired of Cane threatening to take over, but she’s equally tired of Victor acting like he’s running Genoa City. Diane wants to bring Victor down herself. This fall, Cane’s will only worsen war between Jack and Victor.
A New Triangle
The reason that Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Cane get along so well is that they can relate on so many levels. Unfortunately, none of them are too positive. Cane and Phyllis both had fathers who were less than stellar examples of morality. They both tried to do better, and be better as parents, and both of them failed miserably.
They also have the urgent need to be seen amongst their peers — and many of the residents of Genoa City seem to split their hatred for both, dishing out insults and rage equally to both of them. On top of that, there seems to be an attraction there. Will it be enough for a relationship? Or will Cane’s love for Lily (Christel Khalil) override any other option?
Audra’s Next Chapter
Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) begged for another chance with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), but so far, he hasn’t seemed too keen. With Noah coming back to town, there is the possibility that the new-and-more-vulnerable Audra might appeal to her ex. But with the cloud of Kyle hanging over her (if not constantly in her face), is she in danger? Kyle has insisted he wants her gone and tells her everyone would be better off with her dead. Does Audra get another chapter — or is he implying her finale?
The Wedding Fans Have Been Waiting For
Expect to see the wedding of Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) and Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) next month in a two, wedding-centric episodes. We can expect grandeur, music, and lots of love — but will Christine’s worries about Phyllis sabotaging her wedding come true?
On February 27, 2024, CBS renewed The Young and the Restless to continue to run through the 2027–2028 television season.

Everyone knows that The Young and the Restless’ Melissa Claire Egan is a triple threat, but is Chelsea Lawson a bigger contender in Genoa City than people realize?
Melissa Claire Egan on The Young and the Restless
As Chelsea Lawson, Melissa Claire Egan is no stranger to drama. Chelsea has had a whirlwind couple of years — from the depths of despair to the joy of rediscovering love.
Chelsea Lawson is a contender
While Chelsea and Adam (Mark Grossman) have found their way back to reuniting their family, it’s not solid ground. They live together on the Newman Ranch, with inlaws Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor (Eric Braeden) as neighbors, and they work together running Newman Media.
However, Victor has been adamant that he is the one that calls the shots — and his directives have already driven a wedge between Chelsea and Adam. Victor has made it clear that his never-ending vengeance for Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) should be exacted via the media company, regardless of truth or fairness. Since the arrival of Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) in Genoa City, Chelsea’s perspective of Billy being a threat has changed, but it might shift again soon.
One thing that most seem to forget amongst the “business elite” of Genoa City is that Chelsea is no slouch. She hustled her way through her earlier life, and her tactics are still on point. Could she be part of the solution to the Cane problem?
Melissa Claire Egan at the Emmys
This is an exciting month for the actress. She’s been nominated (again) for Lead Performance in a Daytime Drama Series for the 2025 Daytime Emmy Awards. “It’s wonderful, humbling, and exciting to be nominated. It’s an honor,” Egan told Woman’s World. She noted that it’s an honor that doesn’t get old, which is a good thing, considering she’s had eight nods and counting.
The way the Emmy’s work this year is different in the way that the bump to air in October moved the needle on the timeline for submissions. Egan says her reel contained the scenes of when Chelsea had to turn the focus of her of own mental health to that of her son, accept his condition to help him, and then blame herself as his mother. “I was really proud of it, and gosh, the amount of fan feedback I’ve gotten from people feeling seen by these mental health storylines… I’m grateful to tell them, anytime. They’re so important,” Egan shared.
Making Music
Followers of Egan’s Instagram have seen her many dance reels (and hilarious bloopers) with her costars Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra), Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe Valentine — and a Y&R director), and Hayley Erin (Claire Newman).
In May, Egan performed amongst other soap stars at “Daytime at Night,” a fundraiser coordinated by castmate Lily Brooks O’Briant (Lucy Romalotti). Egan showed off her singing chops with Karla Mosley (Dani Dupree, Beyond the Gates).
Egan is also in a band called Canal Street, but says between work and motherhood, she hasn’t gotten to “rock out” since last summer. “I don’t have much time for hobbies and these days, I’m in bed at 8pm,” she shared. “But there will be singing again. My dream is to do a musical one day—and I will do this before I die!”

Keep your eyes and ears peeled this week in and around Genoa City for these casting changes on The Young and the Restless.
Abby Newman
Melissa Ordway may not have had the smoothest of travels yesterday getting to Los Angeles, but nothing stopped her from getting to the Y&R studio this morning! She shared a photo on her Instagram of her, transformed into Abby Newman Winters. Ordway may have downsized her wardrobe before her flight, but Abby shines like sunshine in that yellow blazer!
Sienna Bacall
One of the recently announced new members of the cast, Tamara Braun (ex-Ava, DAYS) is joining the crew at Y&R as a new character, Sienna Bacall. Braun has begun filming but viewers won’t see her until October 14th. Sienna looks to be the nightclub owner that Noah Newman will be striking a deal with in L.A. Expect her paths to cross Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case), Noah’s parents who will also be in L.A. with their son. Other possible connections are with Claire (Hayley Erin) and Holden (Nathan Owens), who are also going to be in town. Does Sienna already know Holden — and if so, does she know Tucker (Trevor St. John) or Audra (Zuleyka Silver) as well?
But those are not the only paths that will cross on Y&R soon. According to Deadline, the role of Noah Newman will be played by Lucas Adams, who, ironically, played Ava’s son, Tripp, on Days of our Lives.
Jill Abbott
The much-anticipated return of Jess Walton happens tomorrow when Jill Abbott brings a firestorm into the lives of her son, Billy (Jason Thompson) and psuedo-golden-child, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn). After being summoned by both Jack (Peter Bergman) and Sally (Courtney Hope), Jill has her work cut out of her. But where her loyalties truly lie — or how much she can be influenced towards anyone’s side — remains to be seen. Face to face with his mom (who he started calling by name), and feeling freshly betrayed by Cane, viewers can look for Billy’s wounds to be reopened on Friday.
Amy Lewis
We haven’t seen much of Amy since her son, Damian (Jermaine Rivers) was murdered on Cane’s estate in France. Understandably upset and shutting down from social activities, Amy’s been laying low for a while now. But tomorrow, Valarie Pettiford is back to play the role, and viewers will see her bond with Lily (Christel Khalil).

Actress Tamara Braun gave a behind-the-scenes sneak peek today as Sienna Bacall arrived in Genoa City.
Tamara Braun goes behind the scenes at Y&R
Tamara Braun shared some of her personal photos and videos today on her Instagram account of her first days at The Young and the Restless. It was recently announced that the actress will be playing a new role on the show. Braun captioned her post, “A little #bts of the mysterious Sienna Bacall on the @youngandrestlesscbs It’s been a great September so far and looking forward to what the next months have in store. Airing on October 14 on @cbstv Looking forward to seeing ya there!”
Braun’s character, Sienna Bacall, is a nightclub owner in L.A., tied to Noah Newman (Lucas . In today’s episode, Noah’s dad Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) told his sister Victoria (Amelia Heinle) that he and Sharon (Sharon Case) were going to L.A. to meet with Noah and that he was considering buying a nightclub there.
Also in L.A. right now is Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) — and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) just asked to join him. Are there more links to Sienna than just Noah?
In her post, Braun shared photos of her in hair and make-up, and in costume as Sienna, posing with Y&R’s fashion designer Mandi Line. She showed her reserved parking spot, and thanked Y&R for giving it to her, and posed in front of The Carol Burnett Show poster with Matt Kane, Y&R’s director of media and talent.
Braun’s new costars like Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers) and Kate Linder (Ester Valentine), as well as former DAYS cast mates Eric Martsolf (Brady Black) and Stephen Nichols (Steve Johnson) were quick to support her new gig. “Excited to see you on and off camera!” Lauralee Bell (Christine Williams) enthused.
Rebecca Budig (Taylor Hayes, B&B) and Greg Rikaart (Leo, DAYS/Kevin, Y&R), hosts of the new CBS podcast Soapy chimed in with their encouragement and congratulations as well. With so many of her friends in the industry congratulating her new move to The Young and the Restless, it would be impossible to list them all — but safe to say if Braun is this adored by her friends and fans, we’re looking forward to seeing her in Genoa City soon.
Braun’s first airdate on The Young and the Restless will be October 14th, 2025.

That was ObSCENE
Can we talk about Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Audra (Zuleyka Silver)’s blow-up at the jazz club? We all know that if you come for Audra, she claps back twice as hard, but Kyle can be downright vicious. He can stand behind his reasoning all he wants but if it was going to fly with anyone, it should’ve been Claire (Hayley Erin), and since she’s not buying it, neither should we.
Simply put, Kyle needs to stand down. He never needed to roll around a bed in just a towel with Audra. He didn’t even need to go to France with Audra. He never even needed to speak to Audra ever again. “Oh, I had to, I needed to find out how far she was willing to go,” he said. So, why’s he so mad? She proved him right, he could at least take comfort in that. There are so many things wrong with what Kyle did and why he did it, the only one he should be screaming at is himself.
Things that can’t be UnSCENE
Speaking of Kyle, that little temper tantrum the golden child had when Claire wanted a break was red flag #174 for Junior.
And not only was Kyle’s pouting insufferable but Harrison having to beg for some attention wasn’t a great selling point, either. “But I haven’t seen you in forever!” he even pleaded but Kyle was too busy trying to get what he wanted to care. “Sorry, buddy, maybe next time,” was a jaw-dropping bad-dad moment for a guy already in our bad books.
Aaaaaaaand….SCENE!
Can we get a do-over? The partnering of Michael (Christian LeBlanc) and Cane (Billy Flynn) was over before it even started, and we want more. Ditch the duplicity with Victor (Eric Braeden) and just pair up Michael and Cane for more banter, please.
And speaking of scenes we want more of, Cane and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), has piqued our interest way more than a Cane and Lily reunion could. Cane and Lily have history and a love story to go with it, or they did at one point, but Phyllis and Cane had something else. We’re not quite sure what we’re witnessing but that little knowing smirk and twinkle in their eye when they talk sometimes…are they besties waiting to happen, or is that real spark? We’re not seeing things…let’s go there.

Jess Walton’s return to The Young and the Restless this week will catch some Genoa City residents off guard and make others breathe a sigh of relief.
Jess Walton Brings Jill Abbott Back to Genoa City
Fans of The Young and the Restless will see a familiar face this week on the opening credits when Jess Walton returns to the show as Jill Abbott.
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) suggests that Jill should come to town. He has teamed up with Victor to stop Cane’s Genoa City takeover, but thinks that their best move is to involve Jill.
Meanwhile, Sally also wants Jill’s help. With Billy telling Jack to pull out his investment at Abbott Communications, she lost everything. But Sally was running her division of Marchetti when she quit to join Billy’s start-up organization. And before that, she successfully ran Newman Media. Could she get Jill to help her both professionally and personally? Maybe having Jill’s support would go a long way with Billy right now.
But Cane also has a relationship with Jill — one that seems to override her efforts with Billy. Her son had no idea that Jill was spending time with Cane when his ailing father, Colin, was in his last days. What did Jill witness back then? Was Colin a changed man, like Cane claims?
Could Jill’s return help Lily? She, too, was humiliated and out of a job when Jill suddenly sold Chancellor Industries to Victor. But where is Jill’s loyalty now? If she knows that Victor and Nikki lied to Lily in the deal, would that influence whether or not she would team up with Victor and Jack? Seems like it would already take a lot for Jill to go against Cane.
Jill could offer Lily some insight that could help him restore his relationship with his children, Mattie and Charlie, if not Lily herself. She may even know the true story about how Colin came into his money from the French heiress of the estate. If it’s not what Victor claims, his threats to expose his version of the story could backfire.
Cane showed empathy for Billy, not only with his relationship with his mother, but he wanted to protect him from losing Sally. He didn’t like how Billy was treated in the Chancellor deal, and wanted him to get it back. But in the end, he backtracked as he saw it was triggering some old behavior in Billy that he didn’t want to foster.
So what now? This week, Jill is given several reasons to return to Genoa City. But whose side she is on remains to be seen.

The Young and the Restless is getting a new co-executive producer. Y&R director Sally McDonald has been promoted to work with current EP Josh Griffith.
TPTB at The Young and the Restless
Sally McDonald, one of the directors at The Young and the Restless, has been promoted to co-executive producer. According to Soap Opera Digest, McDonald will share the title and the role with current executive producer (and head writer) Josh Griffith.
That’s a long way to the top for McDonald, who started at CBS as a typist in 1983. She had various other promotions throughout her career, including production supervisor on game shows such as Win, Lose or Draw, Card Sharks, and The $10,000 Pyramid.
In 1989, just six years into her CBS career, McDonald joined The Young and the Restless as a production supervisor, became associate director, and eventually, a director in 1986. Her direction has earned her eight Daytime Emmys, as well as other nominations. In 1997, her Y&R team won the Directors Guild of America Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Daytime Serials.
Josh Griffith began working at Y&R in 2006 as a breakdown writer, advancing to executive producer and head writer in 2018, a role he shared with Anthony Morina until his departure in 2022. Griffith had also been Y&R’s head writer on and off throughout the years. He also co-created Sunset Beach, and wrote for other soaps like General Hospital, Days of our Lives, As the World Turns, Santa Barbara, and One Life to Live.

It was recently announced that soap veteran Tamara Braun was joining the cast of The Young and the Restless, and today, we got to see photos of her with her new castmate.
Tamara Braun Joins The Young and the Restless
Fans of The Young and the Restless can expect to meet a new resident of Genoa City soon — in about one month. Christian LeBlanc, who plays Y&R’s Michael Baldwin, shared a photo today on his Instagram with his new castmate, Tamara Braun.
Braun will be portraying a new character to the show, Sienna Bacall. While we don’t know much yet about who she is or how she’ll shake things up, Sienna is someone with personal connections to several characters. Are one of those characters Michael Baldwin?
With a photo of he and Braun smiling, LeBlanc captioned, “Is there SOMETHING in the water over at Television City!!!? JUST ALL BRAUN ALL THE TIME!!! WELCOME TO THE CIRCUS!!” Braun responded with, “Yay!! So happy to be with all of you”
Tamara Braun on other soaps
If Braun looks familiar, she should. As soap fans know, Braun started her career in the genre in 2001 when she was Carly Corinthos on General Hospital. Braun had taken over the role that was previously portrayed by Sarah Brown, and is currently played by Laura Wright. Braun remained in the role until 2005.
In 2017, she was back on General Hospital, this time playing Dr. Kim Nero, a role that won her an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
Braun also appeared on All My Children from 2008 to 2009, where he played Reese Williams.
Braun is also known to fans of Days of our Lives as Salem’s Ava Vitali, a character she played on and off from 2008 to 2025. She won the Emmy again that year for the same category, and has been nominated three other times.
Sienna Bacall on The Young and the Restless
As for Braun’s new role, fans have been speculating where she will fit in with the other Genoa City residents.
Braun isn’t the only new cast member on Y&R. Her former cast mate at Days of our Lives, Billy Flynn, also arrived in Genoa City earlier this year as Cane Ashby. With most in town worried about his presence, chances are good Sienna’s arrival could be related.
Others speculate that she is somehow tied to Noah Newman. The role was recently recast with another DAYS alum, Lucas Adams, and the timing of the two could be related.

Three years ago today, Zuleyka Silver was introduced to The Young and the Restless as Audra Charles. Fast forward to today, and the character has shown the Genoa City residents — and the fans — she’s still someone to reckon with.
Zuleyka Silver on The Young and the Restless
On Y&R, Audra Charles has mostly been known as a fierce business woman, a dynamo with men, and a regret to anyone who has crossed her.
Three years ago today, Audra arrived in Genoa City and introduced herself to Nate Hastings, Jr (Sean Dominic). Ironically, the pair just broke up, and the last place we saw them together was in fact, the same coffee shop where they first met.
At the time, Audra probably didn’t know how influential Nate would be in her life. Amid corporate takeovers and collusions, their relationship had a lot of ups and downs, but eventually, they wound up together. And it was her relationship with Nate that allowed the audience to really get to know the character.
As Nate peeled back Audra’s layers, we were as surprised as he was (and sometimes, Audra) to realize that she had a softer, more vulnerable side. Nate had already begun to get Audra to see another side to herself, and to reveal that she had deeper feelings than she usually claimed. He saw past the tough exterior, and got her to let down her walls to get in love.
Also through Nate, Audra was introduced to Amy Lewis (Valarie Pettiford). Most were surprised to see the affection that Audra had for her, nursing her through her illness, and fostering a friendship with a mother figure she seemed to be lacking.
Fans aren’t the only one who see the complexity of Audra. Zuleyka Silver, who plays the character to perfection, told Soap Opera Digest, “It is very stimulating as an actor to peel back the layers. I feel like, over these three years that I’ve been playing Audra, I’ve just been trying to discover how I can add different layers to her. Just getting to know her and her past more, and why she acts the way that she does,” Silver said.
Many fans are hopeful that they’ll be able to learn more about Audra’s past. We know that she had a serious relationship with Noah Newman (then-Rory Gibson) in London years ago. She had miscarried with their child (unbeknownst to him at the time), and she fled to L.A. There, she worked with Tucker Carlson (Trevor St. John), and was involved with Holden (Nathan Owens). There is something that Holden knows about Audra that no one else seems to. Audra and Holden have said that he helped her out of a jam, but was it actually business-related like she said, or illegal like Holden has implied? There is still so much to learn about Audra, anything is possible.

Visit Skin Nation Beauty for more information on her products, and be sure to watch what Stafford’s Phyllis Summers gets up to on The Young and the Restless on CBS.The Soap Scene extends congratulations to Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers) for a special award she is receiving today at the Daytime Beauty Awards. She shared on her Instagram earlier in the week:
“Wait for it!…. Thank you @daytimebeautyawards for the acknowledgment in “achievement in skin care”. I was so blown away from this honor. I cannot wait to be there this Sunday.!! This is a huge accomplishment and truly, I’ll say it again, a huge honor to be acknowledged by you. You are the Gold Standard in beauty. Thank you for acknowledging (so highly) my plant based formulas. I have worked my ass off on a making a real plant based non toxic, skin care product of integrity. This means the world to me. 💛💛💛 Follow my awarded company here @skinnationbeauty”
In a video, Stafford explained. She posted the trophy she will be receiving, and then talked to her fans directly. “I’m getting one of these this Sunday from the DBA. I am really humbled and honored. Anybody who knows who has a company and has a product is highly competitive; it is damn challenging to stay around and be relevant. “I’ve been doing this for nine years. It started when my sister was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, and I just started researching the toxins and carcinogens in our food. And it brought me to see how many toxins we wore in our skin care.
Stafford said she wanted to create a skin care line that was clean and casual — but actually worked. Smiling and pointing at her face, she said the products had to get rid of things, like dark spots and lines.
“So anyway, I am honored. Thank you, Daytime Beauty Awards, this is going to be really awesome. And the beautiful Denise Richards is going to present me with my award. We’re going to have a fun time this Sunday!” Stafford said.
The Y&R star promised to blow up her Instagram account with photos from the awards show next week. With a cheeky grin, she noted, “They also called this awards show the Oscars for the beauty industry. So…you know…just sayin’...wouldn’t want to toot my own horn, but I mean, what’s a horn for?” she laughed.
Congratulations to Michelle Stafford on her Achievement in Skin Care Award at the Daytime Beauty Awards. Visit Skin Nation Beauty for more information on her products, and be sure to watch what Stafford’s Phyllis Summers gets up to on The Young and the Restless on CBS.
