Days of our Lives at the 2025 Daytime Emmys

The 52nd Annual Daytime Emmys will be here quicker than sands through the hourglass, and when the stars arrive on the red carpet tomorrow, you can expect to see many from Days of Our Lives — the show received a whopping 16 nominations this year.

DAYS is dominating the Outstanding Lead Performance in a Daytime Drama Series: Actor category, taking three out of the five nominations. Up for the award this year are Eric Martsolf for his portrayal of Brady Balck, Greg Rikaart as Leo Stark, and Paul Telfer as Xander Kiriakis.

For Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Daytime Drama Series: Actress nominations, co-stars Linsey Godfrey has been nominated for her work playing Sarah Horton, and Emily O'Brien for her role as Theresa Donovan.

In the Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Daytime Drama Series: Actor category, Blake Berris was given the nod for his role as Everett Lynch.

In a new category, Outstanding Emerging Talent in a Daytime Drama Series, AnnaLynne McCord as Cat Greene and Ashley Puzemis as Holly Jonas have both been nominated.

Days of our Lives Celebrates 60 Years

Days of our Lives visits The Today Show

On NBC’s The Today Show, the stars of Days of our Lives visited to talk

Days of our Lives’ first episode was on November 8, 1965. The show will celebrate its 60th anniversary this year, and to talk about that, stars Deidre Hall (Dr. Marlena Evans), James Reynolds (Abe Carver), and Eric Martsolf (Brady Black) joined The Today Show on NBC this morning.

In addition to the show’s anniversary, it was noted that Hall’s 50th anniversary playing Marlena will be celebrated next year. Reynolds has been Abe Carver for 44 years, and Marsolf as Brady for 17 years. Hall began the chat by sharing that none of them had imagined being part of the show as long as they have been, but noted that they were a family.

Salemites will celebrate the 60th anniversary in November at a massive reunion at a hospital gala in honor of Tom Horton (played by the late Macdonald Carey). Carver shared, “Everybody is going to see all their favorites. People are coming back from when we began. It’s going to be fantastic. People who have watched the show for a long, long time are going to be thrilled.” He added that viewers who are newer to the show will get a deeper understanding of the show’s history.

On her Instagram, Hall added some photos of her time in NYC visiting the morning show. She captioned them, “Such a fun morning celebrating the 60th Anniversary and induction into the @bchofnyc of @dayspeacock at the @todayshow!”

Co-head writers Paula Cwikly and Jeanne Marie Ford told TV Insider that, “The 60th anniversary is the event that brings the town together to celebrate. The hospital gala will kick off a new umbrella story that extends into the new year.”

The festivities will play out the week of November 3rd.

TV Insider says to watch for these past characters to return “for a handful of episodes over the season,” such as Lamon Archey (Eli Grant), Matthew Ashford (Jack Deveraux), Maree Cheatham (Marie Horton), Roark Critchlow (Mike Horton), Bryan Dattilo (Lucas Horton), Colton Little (Andrew Donovan), Chandler Massey (Will Horton), Melissa Reeves (Jennifer Deveraux), Sal Stowers (Lani Price Grant), Stephen Schnetzer (Steve Olson), Christopher Sean (Paul Narita), Alison Sweeney (Sami Brady) and Greg Vaughan (Eric Brady).
