On the Beyond the Gates episode on Monday, November 17, 2025, Kat turned to a surprising person for help, Hayley and Izaiah got to know one another, Caroline gave Bill a stern warning,
What Happened on Beyond the Gates
Jacob caught Izaiah up on what he missed while being away from Fairmont Crest, including how Hayley was Naomi’s best friend until she became her stepmother. He strongly suggested his brother steer clear of Mrs. Hamilton.
At the office, Caroline and Bill talked about Hayley and how well she was trying to take care of Bill and his health. Caroline told Bill that Hayley wasn’t like Dani, and if he treated her the same way, she’d leave him.
On their honeymoon, Dani and Andre enjoyed their time in their hotel room. Andre confessed to Dani that Ashley ended her engagement with Derek and told him that she wanted to be with him, but he turned her down. Dani wondered why he was telling her now, and if he had second thoughts about rejecting Ashley.
Andre said that what he had with Dani now didn’t compare to what he had with Ashley in the past. He made it clear that he wanted Dani and no one else. Andre gossiped that Derek faked his paralysis. Dani didn’t want to judge, but knew that it was healthy to be with someone who didn’t drive you crazy. Dani called a jeweler she knew and asked him to make real rings for them.
At Orphey Gene’s, Leslie showed Eva that she had a box of tickets to Winterfest and had been tasked by Anita to address envelopes and mail them out. They saw Mona and Jan come in, but Mona was still glaring at Leslie. Mona told Jan that she couldn’t understand how she could forgive her for what she did to Laura, but Jan noted there was no proof. She thought Leslie had been a good friend to them and pointed out that many people make mistakes. She used Derek as the example.
Jan gossiped to Mona how Ashley had feelings for Andre but couldn’t compete with Dani. Jan asked her not to tell anyone.
Eva advised Leslie to quit waving around the tickets and just go talk to Mona. Leslie agreed that once Mona knew about her getting along with Anita, she’d be all over her.
Leslie took the box of tickets to Jan and Mona and personally invited them. Jan happily accepted a ticket but Mona didn’t believe that she’d been asked by Anita to work together. Even when she did, she still wanted nothing to do with Leslie.
Kat approached Hayley at the country club and told her that she wanted to make her a deal: she might try to influence her family to be nicer to her if she gave her the information she wanted. Riddled with insults, Kat explained that she needed to understand the mind of a homewrecker so she could keep Eva away from her dad and Tomas.
Hayley joined the list of people who thought as Ted was Eva’s father, he should be a good dad to her. As for Tomas, Hayley thought it was fascinating office gossip she hadn’t heard about. Hayley advised that happy men don’t stray. She said if there were any cracks in her relationship, to fill them before Tomas did. Kat thanked her and jumped up to deal with it. Hayley asked about her end of the deal but Kat just ignored her and left.
When she walked through the lobby, Jacob saw her and told Izaiah it was weird that she had been sitting with Hayley. He warned Izaiah that Eva was just as disliked as Hayley. Jacob told Izaiah that their dad was glad he was home before going to work. After Jacob walked away, Izaiah was about to enter the elevator when Hayley walked up behind him and asked if her ears should be burning.
Kat texted Tomas and asked to meet for lunch. She addressed their last conversation and said she wanted him to know how things between them would be a lot more chill moving forward. Kat said what he said about her attitude really hit her, and she had an honest conversation with Ted about how hard it was to hear Eva call him ‘Dad.’ She admitted that Ted made it clear that wasn’t going to change, and she realized that if anyone had to change, it was her. Kat appreciated that Tomas told her the truth.
Kat suggested she would talk to her mom to find out how she got past dealing with Leslie, and asked Tomas if they were still building towards a future together.
Izaiah told Hayley that there was nothing negative said about her and sat down to talk to her. He told her how he was a counselor at Banneker. He noted that he was the last person to judge someone on their past, and looked forward to getting to know her.
Randy called Hayley after Izaiah left for an update on ‘the plan.’ Hayley said she was distracted by a side quest but was steadily poisoning Bill. Randy blasted her for being distracted and warned her that Joey had found out they’d been lying. He explained how and why Joey was suspicious of them. Hayley told Randy to keep lying, and she would do the same.
Jacob ran into Bill and felt compelled to tell him that his wife was lying to him and taking birth control pills. Bill thought it was cute that he was involving himself then questioned why Naomi implied Jacob was lying to her. Jacob didn’t want to break her confidence but told Bill that their situation proved that even the strongest bond can have a weak link.
Izaiah went to Orphey Gene’s and ran into Eva. He questioned her about what he’d heard that she’d been going after her sister’s boyfriend. Eva told him the truth, and that she had tried to put aside her attraction to him as she wanted a better relationship with Kat, but her sister wanted nothing to do with her. Izaiah wanted to know if she was still interested in Tomas but she said she found something better. Izaiah asked if she wanted to go spend some alone time with him.

On the Beyond the Gates episode on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, Vernon gets spotted by the last person you’d want to keep a secret, Shanice and Leslie spar at the hospital, and Eva tells Izaiah he needs to work for it.
Tuesday's Beyond the Gates Recap
Ted found Shanice singing an Articulettes song at the nurse’s station and chatted about her being a fan. Ted asked if everything was alright with Anita, since she didn’t usually come to the hospital. Shanice revealed she was there for an appointment, but all seemed fine. As they chatted, Shanice put her hand on Ted’s shoulder…just as Leslie came off the elevator and saw them.
Leslie rushed off the elevator and into Ted’s arms. “It’s Peaches!” she sobbed. She told Ted about her mom’s health crisis and that she was under the care of someone named Dr. Wilkes. Ted assured her that he would trust his life with that doctor, but had to go see a patient. When Ted left, Shanice went to contact Dr. Wilkes so that Leslie would feel better by meeting him, but Leslie’s demeanor completely changed. She said that in case Shanice’s fake eyelashes fluttering affected her hearing, she reiterated that if she wanted Shanice’s opinion, she would give it to her.
Shanice clapped back, then she and Leslie started bickering. Leslie tried trumping her own rudeness by reminding Shanice that she’d made a hefty donation to the hospital. Dr. Wilkes came up and interrupted, so Leslie ripped into him instead. She told the doctor she expected VIP treatment for Peaches and wanted him to tell her everything he was going to do to help the only mother she had ever known.
Dr. Wilkes told Leslie about his treatment for Peaches, but Leslie wasn’t satisfied. She questioned his credentials and wanted the best doctor that money could buy. Dr. Wilkes encouraged her to get a second and third opinion, and he was secure in his diagnosis.
When the doctor left, Shanice told Leslie that her treatment of Dr. Wilkes was like spitting at a waiter. Leslie told her that she was getting on her last good nerve. Shanice told her she wouldn’t put up with her mistreating people in her hospital. Leslie promised Shanice would live to regret her words.
Eva told Izaiah that Orphey Gene’s had been the starting point of many love stories but thought Uptown was better suited for privacy while getting to know one another. Izaiah shared that he’d practically grown up there, frequently going with his family. They stayed at Uptown, and Izaiah wanted to get to know her, mainly to see if he had a chance with her or if she was into other people.
Eva told Izaiah that he would have to earn it to get closer to her. Izaiah said it would be his honor as it wasn’t every day he came across someone that fine. Izaiah leaned in and kissed Eva. Izaiah laid on the charm, but before they could kiss again, Leslie began calling repeatedly until Eva answered.
At the brownstone, Samantha lamented that she was the only one being kept offline and didn’t like it. Smitty and Martin decided to relieve some tensions by taking everyone to Orphey Gene’s for milkshakes. Tyrell wanted to study with Jessica, but his dads said that she could come too because they weren’t leaving him home alone with her.
Vernon stopped in to get two slices of peach pie to go, and June noted that he and his missus were acquiring quite the sweet tooth as he’d just come by for some the other day. He told her that actually, the two pieces were both for him.
Jessica came in as Vernon was leaving and told June she was meeting Tyrell there. June noted that Jessica’s face usually lit up at hearing her boy’s name, and wondered what was up. Jessica was about to tell her, but Tyrell walked in. June seemed satisfied with the way both Tyrell and Jessica smiled when they saw one another.
Jessica and Tyrell took their own table, but before she could tell him what was on her mind, Samantha wanted to sit with them instead of their dads. She gave Tyrell too many jabs, and Jessica thought she needed to know that her brother was her hero. She told Samantha what a jerk Nathan was and how Tyrell protected her on Halloween.
Smitty came in and ordered the shakes. He told June that he also owed her a thank you for saving his family. Smitty called June the “Samantha whisperer” and said he would be forever grateful for giving them the gift of children. Smitty admitted he was afraid when she returned, and that the kids would love her more than them. June assured Smitty that he and Martin were their fathers in every sense of the word. They had an emotional conversation, both thanking and appreciating the other.
Martin called Vernon to tell him about the sponsorship program he’d talked to Izaiah about. Vernon thought it was wonderful news but said he was about to go to a Winterfest meeting. Smitty joined Martin and said he was ready to accept June as part of their kids’ lives, and part of their family.
Eva rushed to Leslie and they tried to decide how to help Peaches best with Leslie’s money. Leslie wanted to ask Ted for help. Immediately satisfied, Leslie wanted to hear about Eva’s date. Eva shared that they started at Orphey Gene’s, but then he took her to Uptown, and that they smooched. After Eva left, Leslie realized she’d forgotten something and opened the door to call after her. Instead, she saw Vernon leaving Sharon’s room across the hall. Leslie hid behind her door but heard Sharon tell him to go before anyone saw them, and got the wrong idea. “Especially my wife,” Vernon agreed.
June overheard as Jessica told Tyrell that she was considering following family history by going to college in L.A. Before they could get into it, Smitty and Martin told Tyrell he needed to come home with them to meet with Izaiah about Banneker. After they left, Jessica pondered with June if she should get out of her relationship with Tyrell before it gets too hard.
Back at the brownstone, Izaiah met with Tyrell and encouraged him to go to Banneker. Tyrell shared that his girlfriend might be going to L.A. and didn’t know what to do. Izaiah said he’d just gotten dumped and that sometimes endings were the start of something better.
Ted told Shanice not to worry about Leslie flaunting her money as a way to hurt her. Shanice asked Ted if he could tell her what he ever saw in Leslie.

On the Beyond the Gates episode on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, Leslie tries to blackmail Vernon, Eva and Martin have an audience, Dani and Andre discover how they really feel, and Kat gets caught being real.
Wednesday's Beyond the Gates Recap
Kat brought auction info for Winterfest to Anita, who could tell her granddaughter had somethinf on her mind and told her to sit and tell her about it. “I literally hate everyone right now,” Kat said.
Kat told Anita about the things Eva said to her. Kat called Eva a homewrecking whore, so Anita scolded her about speaking with dignity. Kat moved on to how she was upset with Ted for putting Eva on a pedestal. Anita said that Ted was just trying to do right by his daughter but Kat thought every time he did that, he did wrong to the ones who had to suffer for their actions.
Anita understood Kat’s rage about Eva and Ted but when it came to Martin, she told her to slow her role. Anita explained that her bond with her brother was to be cherished and respected. She sent her off to Uptown to meet with Martin and make things right.
Leslie saw Vernon at the country club and made herself comfortable at his table to let him know they had some things in common, like The Bowman Hotel. Vernon’s face fell when she said she knew he’d been spending a lot of time there.
Vernon said that he and Anita regularly host guests there but Leslie knew it was one particular woman he was visiting. Vernon reminded Leslie that she was only in the club becuase of Anita’s generosity. Leslie thought it was a shame that their legacy could be tarnished by such a cliche.
Vernon wondered what Leslie wanted him to do to keep quiet. Leslie asked if he could help her get a bigger role at Winterfest, like co-host. Vernon shot her down but Leslie said she’d be willing to keep their secret anyway — for now. “What secret is that?” Anita asked as she walked up behind her.
Leslie told Anita, it wasn’t like they were having an affair and sneaking off together in a room at the Bowman Hotel. Anita laughed at the thought. Vernon said Leslie was just leaving, and she did, to his relief. Anita noted how Leslie preened around Vernon instead of the venomous version she got of her.
Vernon told Anita that Leslie was just being sneaky about wanting a bigger role at Winterfest. Anita immediately relented into saying she should consider giving her something more visible as you never know what Leslie will do if she doesn’t get what she wants.
By the elevators, Leslie got out her phone and called Ted. She asked if she could come by for a few minutes. “I promised Eva I wouldn’t burden you with my problems, but a woman close to me needs help, and I don’t know what else to do,” she pleaded.
Leslie went to Ted’s office and told her that he’d stumbled upon something and didn’t know where else to turn. She said that Peaches was dying and couldn’t sit back to watch it happen. Ted said that he was a plastic surgeon and it was out of his wheelhouse. Leslie wanted him to use his connections to find a drug trial to get Peaches into and she would pay any amount to make it happen.
In L.A., Dani and Andre celebrated their honeymoon by ordering champagne and strawberries with chocolate sauce in bed. They were happily surprised when their rings were delivered. They repeated “with this ring, I thee wed” as they put the rings on each other. Since they couldn’t remember their actual vows, they made up new ones and said them together.
Andre got emotional and told Dani that he thought he knew what love was, but now he really did. Andre told Dani how her laughter, strength, and beautiful heart made him fall in love with her. Dani told Andre that she loved him, too. Dani marveled that she never meant for it to happen, and somehow when they weren’t paying attention, love found them.
Eva came into Ted’s office and said something went down with Leslie because every time she passed the nurses’ station, the whispering stopped. Ted said she’d had words with Shanice, but suggested that people start associating her with him instead. Ted invited her as his plus one to Winterfest.
Eva was happy surprised but asked if he wasn’t concerned what his other daughter would say. Ted thought it was a good opportunity to question Eva about what he’d been told regarding Eva sleeping with Tomas.
Eva agreed it happened but said that Kat had curbed him for days. She said it wasn’t like she’d been creeping in the shadows, one thing just led to another when he was helping her move. Eva assured him that when Tomas said he wanted to work things out with Kat, she let him go. Ted asked about Kat’s claim that Eva came to her place and acted aggressive.
Eva explained that she’d come to Kat’s to talk to her because she was upset she’d heard her call Ted dad but she was so rude and insulting that she pushed back to defend herself. “I may have called her a spoiled little brat, too,” Eva added.
Ted thought that Eva crossed a line with the name calling but Eva said she was clapping back for Kat treating her like a boyfriend-stealing hoodrat. Ted thought the back and forth was going to prevent peace in the family.
Ted decided he wasn’t taking sides as he loved both of them too much but hoped they’d get there one day. In the meantime, he still wanted to take Eva to Winterfest.
Eva went to Uptown for lunch and ran into Martin. He said he’d been trying to connect with Kat but she was leaving him on read. Eva offered to have lunch with him instead, and Martin thought they could catch up for a bit. “What’s new in your world, sis?” he asked as they sat down.
Eva noted that her mom had been invited to participate in Winterfest. Martin said he’d heard that and hoped it was the beginning to of a new era, where the Duprees and Thomases got along. Eva thought her mom would still screw that up.
Eva told Martin that she was going to Winterfest and that Ted asked her to call him “Dad” and he was genuinely happy for her. They didn’t see Kat walk in, so she took the booth behind them to eavesdrop. Kat’s jaw dropped when she heard Martin no only agree with Eva, but Martin said he wished their sister wasn’t so competitive about everything.
Kat fumed as Martin ranted that Kat wasn’t just pushing her buttons, she’d talked about her and Tomas’ intimate relations in front of his daughter. Eva noted how Kat broke Tomas’ equipment. They agreed that was funny and that the whole DMV heard. Martin said Samantha didn’t hear that part, it was how Kat went from a virgin to sex goddess overnight and thought she’d do the same.
Kat rolled her eyes as Martin appreciated Eva offering to talk to Samantha and said he’d talk to Smitty about it. He thanked Eva for lunch since their sister was a no show and headed to the office. On the way out, Martin told Eva not to be gaslit by Eva. “She’s been coddled so long, she thinks affection is a limited resource. As our parents’ miracle baby, they protected her from the world, which has stunted her growth,” Martin added. Eva asked if he was calling Kat a baby and he told her she was astute as always. Behind them, Kat’s mouth hung open in shock.
As soon as she saw Martin leave, Kat scurried to Eva and asked her who she thought she was. Eva didn’t know she’d been eavesdropping and assumed she’d heard about Winterfest. Kat was furious that Eva was Ted’s plus one. She said Eva was infiltrating every corner of life. She warned Eva to stay in her lane before she pushed her into traffic.
Kat was also ticked that Eva was bonding with Martin. Eva said that Martin had two sisters, but said she’d heard her cackling about Tomas with him. Eva realized she’d been eavesdropping and apologized for making dumb jokes. “You’re the joke. And my man’s anatomy is none of your business,” Kat added. “Well, not anymore,” Eva swiped, making Kat enraged.
Kat said Eva couldn’t help herself running her mouth. “It’s too bad Bill didn’t make good on his promise to make you disappear,” Kat seethed. “Wow…so you’re actually wishing your uncle had gotten rid of me?” Eva asked. “No. I’m wishing your mother had gotten rid of you. Because we’d all be living our best life if you’d never been born!” Kat told her. “What the hell is going on here?” Martin asked as he approached their table.

On the Beyond the Gates episode on Thursday, November 20, 2025, Kat went after Martin and Eva, Ted came through for Leslie, Naomi overheard more than she realized, and Dani and Andre were hopelessly in love.
Thursday's Beyond the Gates Recap
In L.A., Dani and Andre continued to marvel in their newfound love. They talked about Thanksgiving, and Dani insisted on holding a grudge against Ted even if her sister forgave him. Andre suggested she’d find the same forgiveness that she found for Bill, for his uncle Ted.
At the law office, Hayley was talking to herself while poisoning Bill’s tea as she was about to get $10 million. Naomi walked in behind her and overheard and asked what payout she was talking about. Hayley covered herself, claiming a case was going to have an 8-digit win. Hayley noted she had switched to tea instead of coffee, so Hayley explained that since Bill’s stroke, she’d been making changes so he would.
Naomi thought she’d see what the fuss was about and took a sip, but before she could get it to her lips, Hayley karate chopped it out of her hands, and it smashed to the ground. She claimed she was saving her from Bill’s sore throat. Bill came in, and Hayley skirted her lies when Naomi said she wanted to talk to both of them.
Naomi tried to say that something at dinner got twisted. Bill said it was clear — she’d snooped on Hayley’s phone. Hayley found out that Jacob had told him about the notification about Hayley’s birth control pills being ready for pick up. Bill suggested that Naomi’s issue wasn’t about him and Hayley; it was her own marital problems.
Naomi balked and said she only came to apologize for not just asking about the text rather than assuming. Naomi was surprised that Bill was mc’ing Winterfest. He said Dani had asked him a while ago, but he hadn’t heard anything since, and noted that Dani was on her honeymoon.
After Naomi left, Hayley went to make Bill a new cup of tea. While alone, Bill pulled out the key that Dani had given him. Then he called her about Winterfest. Dani said she would talk to him about it when she returned, but Bill said there was something he needed to say.
Dani told Bill that unless it was a crisis, it would have to wait. When she hung up, a perturbed Dani apologized to Andre for the interruption. But he told her that he was going ot make sure that their honeymoon never ended.
Hayley poisoned another cup of tea and brought it to Bill. He encouraged her about their relationship and said everyone would see how in love they truly are eventually. Hayley agreed and handed him the cup.
At the hospital, Leslie needed help for Peaches, but Shanice was in no hurry to give her more morphine. Ted came out as they began to bicker and backed Shanice. Ted explained that Shanice was following the doctor’s orders. Ted pulled Leslie aside as she cried about Peaches and not wanting to lose her. Ted told her that he had made a call and found a local trial that was promising. Leslie cried with gratitude and hugged him, but side-eyed Shanice over his shoulder.
Leslie and Ted went to Peaches so they could be introduced and tell her about the trial. Peaches knew there were no guarantees but Leslie said they now had hope and a chance for more time as a family.
Ted told Leslie he was impressed that she worked with the system rather than being in scheming mode to get what she wanted. But once alone, she went and warned Shanice to keep her hands to herself. Shanice warned Leslie she was about to see the real Shanice and it was going to hurt. “This is going to be fun!” Leslie smirked before walking away.
At Uptown, Martin intervened with Kat and Eva, but Kat kept going, calling Eva an accidental spill of their father’s DNA. Martin took Eva’s side in that she was the victim of missing out on their family their whole lives, but Kat wasn’t having it. Martin didn’t want to waste any more time with his sister, but Kat called her a half-sister who was just as duplicitous as her homicidal mother.
Kat told Martin that Eva slept with her boyfriend and accused him of believing Eva over her. Martin told Kat that this ugliness was par for the course. Kat warned Eva that she thought she was gaining a brother, but he was a political operative who worried that his constituents would be disappointed if he didn’t embrace his bastard sister. Martin told her that it was low.
“So it’s okay for you to assault my character but not yours or hers?” Kat asked. She revealed she’d overheard them. She said she was there to talk to him but found him auditioning her replacement. Martin pointed out that Kat never texted him back. “Sue me. I thought I could just show up,” Kat seethed. She stormed off, and Martin shrugged, “That went well.”
Martin told Eva that Kat was a lot of things, but didn’t usually make stuff up. He wondered if the sisters shared more than a father. “Do you share a boyfriend, too?” he asked.
Martin got it that from Tomas’ point of view, they were on a break, and Eva’s point of view was that he was available. Eva admitted that it was partly also about Kat making her feel less than. Martin advised that Nicole would have advised them that all feelings being valid, but not all actions are, and to have made other choices.
Kat came home and asked Chelsea if she was a total bitch. She told her about the scene at Uptown, and how she left before telling off Martin but said some awful things to Eva. She pouted that her brother was supposed to protect her at all costs. Chelsea said that even she would have had an issue with some of the things that Kat had said.
Kat lamented that Eva now wanted her to share her brother, her father, her boyfriend, and her office, and she forced her parents into a divorce. Kat said she was never going to let her be her sister. Chelsea thought Kat was out of line.
Kat admitted she had nothing but non-stop rage for Eva. Chelsea said Kat couldn’t handle sharing a sliver of attention. “Am I really that petty?” Kat asked. Chelsea told her she was. She added that Kat had a right to be upset about how Eva entered their lives, but Eva still existed whether or not Kat wanted her.
Chelsea warned Kat that she hated to lose, and she needed to stop making her family choose between Eva and her. Chelsea thought that Kat was wasting too much time and energy hating and needed to try to find a new perspective.

On the Beyond the Gates episode on Friday, November 21, 2025, when Leslie threatens Laura, Anita forgives Eva, and Nicole tells Carlton to back off.
Friday's Beyond the Gates Recap
At the country club gym, Vernon noted that he had less than a year until his next election, and he had to get his head in the game. Vernon warned Martin that this time, he was going to face an internal challenge in his primary race and he needed to get ready — and that included getting his family prepared for what was to come. Martin said he’d enjoy Thanksgiving, then get focused.
At the brownstone, Samantha was having a pity party about her grounding and Tyrell was down on Jessica moving away. He told Smitty that he was thinking of going to L.A. instead of Banneker and Samantha revealed it was because his girlfriend was going there.
Smitty and Tyrell ended up having a talk about serendipity, and that if their relationship was meant to be, it would happen and the distance wouldn’t break them. Tyrell also asked if Jessica could spend Thanksgiving with them, and Smitty said he’d talk to Martin about it.
When Martin came home, Smitty told him they needed to talk. He told Martin about Tyrell wanting to go to UCLA, and Martin was upset. Smitty suggested they wait and see what happens without pressure, or else Tyrell could move out of spite. Martin agreed, and they seem to be on the same page.
Martin told Smitty about his opposition in the election. He asked Smitty if he was okay with their private life being dragged. Smitty told Martin that he didn’t just marry the man, he married the mission. He was fine with whatever happened, on one condition: Martin put family first, including quality time. Martin promised it was family over politics, ever time.
Carlton came to see Nicole at her office. He showered her with compliments, and she told him not to let that happen again. Carlton agreed he’d made the moves on her too quickly when she and Ted split, but he missed their friendship. At Carlton’s request, Nicole agreed to go to Winterfest together — as friends only.
At Orphey Gene’s, Vernon told Anita that he spoke to Martin about getting his head back in the game. Leslie came in and took a seat, uninvited. Leslie showed Anita the invitations she’d addressed in calligraphy, which Anita found acceptable.
Leslie asked for a bigger role at Winterfest but Anita said that between Laura and Nicole, she had it covered. Leslie got a phone call from the hospital to see Peaches, and she made an exit. On her way out, she bumped into Laura, and told her they had to stop meeting like that.
Laura was rattled but joined Anita and said that she was happy to take on extra duties for Winterfest. Eva came into the diner, saw Anita, and approached her table. Eva apologized to Anita for her role in the demise of Ted and Nicole’s marriage.
Anita told Eva that she was collateral damage, but Eva argued that she had her own free will. Anita said that she didn’t hold Eva responsible for anything and wanted to move forward. Eva told Anita about her stepfather and how it made her appreciate Ted even more. Anita and Eva chatted about relationships, and Anita noted how lucky she was to be married to a man like Vernon.
At the country club, Vernon called Sharon and told her that he was looking forward to seeing her soon. “Our last time together was one for the record books,” he said with a sly grin.
At the hospital, Leslie was waiting for the elevator when Laura arrived. Leslie told her that if they didn’t stop meeting like that, people would think that she was stalking her. Laura told Leslie she wasn’t scared of her and told her to get out of her way.
Laura said that since Leslie ran her off the road, she’d been living in hell. Leslie told her to watch herself, because if she didn’t stop spreading her rumors, she’d slap her with a defamation suit so big that her grandchildren would be paying restitution.
Laura insisted she wasn’t lying, and knew Leslie tried to kill her twice, even if the police couldn’t prove it. Leslie spat that if she wanted Laura dead, worms would be feasting on her rotting face, and that she doesn’t leave loose ends. Leslie suddenly backed off and giggled as Nicole walked up and asked what was going on.
In Nicole’s office, Laura confessed she always let Leslie terrify her. Nicole supported Laura and told her to be proud of herself for standing up to her. Nicole offered to give her some coping skills, but in the meantime, hugged her.
Carlton got off the elevator and bumped into Leslie. She told him that she hoped they could get better acquainted as they had something in common: their desire to make sure that Ted and Nicole never found their way back together.

Here's what happened on Beyond the Gates last week when Naomi made sure Derek and Ashley were over, Derek got his groove back, Kat laid down the law, and Leslie made her way into Winterfest.
What Happened on Beyond the Gates
Last week on Beyond the Gates, Kat overheard Eva calling Ted “Dad” and lost it. She told him off, Eva off, and Tomas off for thinking that Ted had two daughters.
Izaiah made his rounds meeting new people and reacquainting himself with others. Bill advised him that he was glad he’d turned his life around but if he ever found himself in trouble again, he’d help.
June got through to Samantha for her attitude, while Smitty got through to Martin for his. Everyone met in the middle and were better off for it with some new house rules, understanding, and respectful dialogue.
Naomi came to Ashley’s apartment to help her pack up Derek’s stuff and remind her that what he did was unforgivable.
Ashley went to work, but Naomi stayed and got Derek to come get his stuff and give her the key. Derek’s coworker Cheryl told him he didn’t need to recover alone, and kissed him. They made out on Ashley’s couch until he realized it was a bad idea to go any further.
Dani saw a selfie of Andre and realized in his eyes he did not actually want to do the modeling shoot for Forrester Creations in L.A. She canceled it but they still went for a honeymoon.
Vernon kept meeting secretly with Sharon, though they also met at Uptown, while talking about how no one could know.
Ted told Nicole he was taking Eva to Winterfest and she said she’d get him tickets. Nicole told Anita to let Leslie help with the event or she’d ruin it.
Vanessa persuaded a friend not to gamble, upsetting Joey. But Joey also muttered that he loved her, so all was well. Joey put Randy on notice that if he risks him with Bill by messing around with his wife, he’d take care of him like he does all his problems.
Naomi saw a notification on Hayley’s phone that her prescription was ready and realized she’s on birth control pills.
