Beyond the Gates fans got some exciting casting news AND a crossover announcement today.

Casting News and a Crossover for Beyond the Gates 

Viewers of today’s episode of Beyond the Gates may have recognized two faces in next week’s BTG spoiler preview. At the end of the show, clips from next week’s episodes were shown in a video preview. In one scene, Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) is at a table in the Fairmont Crest Country Club’s dining room when two women are seemingly upset. One of them says they called the number that Vanessa gave them, but a moment later throws her business card on the table.

If the woman speaking looks familiar, you’ll know her from The Real Housewives of Potomac. Her name is Dr. Wendy Osefo, PhD., and she and her co-star, Gizelle Bryant, will be doing a crossover event next week.

Fans of RHOP know that Gizelle Bryant is an original cast member of the show, as is Karen Huger, who appeared in the very first episode of Beyond the Gates. She was the woman at the country club bar when the Duprees did a congo line of dirty looks in Hayley’s direction after Dani (Karla Mosley) slapped her. 

The closing line came from Huger in the premiere: “Welcome to Fairmont Crest!”

As for next week’s episode, Dani takes notice of Vanessa’s new role as the owner and operator of Heart Attach Escort Service, thanks to her boyfriend, Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom). Dani hasn’t been quiet about her dislike of Vanessa spending time with Joey, much less when they took their relationship public after her husband Doug (Jason Graham) died. 

But if Dani thought being involved with Joey was bad, wait until she finds out that her friend is now involved in his business affairs. Needless to say, Dani is a little surprised to learn that Vanessa is seeking customers from the country club…and also needless to say, Vanessa resents Dani’s opinion.

Vanessa tells Dani that she doesn’t much care for being characterized as a pimp. “Okay…then Madam,” Dani offers. Yep, that should end well.

But that’s not Vanessa’s only issue. Later in the preview, we also see her angry with Joey. She slams her glass down on the table and tells him in no uncertain terms that she had said over and over that she didn’t care about other people’s opinions. What is it that has Vanessa so irate? We think we know, but more on that later soon.
