There is exciting casting news for fans of The Young and the Restless as the investigation into Noah Newman’s crash is bringing another addition to the cast.
Catherine Kresge Joins The Young and the Restless
On The Young and the Restless, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is realizing that there is something very odd about the way his son’s car crash is being handled. He’s in Los Angeles, where Noah (Lucas Adams) is in a coma in bandages at the hospital following a horrific car crash in a valley in Malibu.
Nick has been trying to find out what happened after an investigator alluded that someone may have run Noah off the road, rather than a single-car accident. However, the investigator never gave any ID and Nick is now realizing that his methods aren’t consistent with what he would expect from the police.
His concerns deepened when he realized that the “investigator” hadn’t even talked to Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun), the last known person to see Noah before the crash.
Catherine Kresge is joining the cast, and hopefully her character will help shine some light on the mystery. Kresge has been cast as “Detective Annie Stewart,” an LAPD detective assigned to investigate Noah Newman’s car accident.
Kresge isn’t the first newcomer to Y&R involved in Noah’s storyline. Matt Cohen recently had his first airdate as the mysterious investigator. Last we saw him, he was asking Nick a lot of questions, but then he called someone from outside of the hospital to report what he found out. Sienna Bacall, played by Tamara Braun, seems to have known Noah quite well. She was the last person to see him when he was at her bar the night of the crash, but she’s been reluctant to say too much. Sienna’s husband, Mitch, will be played by Roger Howarth. Mitch has been unusually absent — according to Sienna, he was supposed to come home the same night Noah had his accident, and Sienna had trouble reaching him in the couple of days afterward.
Before The Young and the Restless
This is Kresge’s first prominent role in a daytime drama, but she’s no stranger to the camera. Viewers may recognize her from her other roles, including the feature films Hello My Name is Doris, A Good Day to Die Hard, and Fantastic Four.
Kresge also has many television credits, including guest-starring roles on 911: Lone Star, SWAT, NCIS: Hawaii, and Chicago Med.
On The Young and the Restless, Kresge will appear in multiple episodes. Her first air date will be on Thursday, November 20th.
