The Young and the Restless Recap September 30: Nick’s Drug Dealer Returns as Marie Is Found Unconscious

TL;DR: In today’s The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, September 30th, 2026, Kyle and Victoria embrace the thrill of their secret affair, Nick’s former drug dealer pushes him toward a breaking point, and the Newman family rallies around Nick after Marie is found unconscious.

The Young and the Restless Recap September 30

Kyle ran into Victoria and Claire at Society. They made small talk, and he started to walk away, but Claire invited him to join them. It got awkward when Kyle talked about Harrison, and Claire noted that she used to share Harrison stories with her mom. Claire’s phone dinged; it was Malcolm, who had just landed in London for a photo shoot with Malcome.

Claire left to call Malcolm, leaving Kyle with Victoria. He told her that when they were alone, it was incredible, but around other people, it was awkward. Victoria said it was a fun secret that they shared, but Claire wasn’t a random person for them to be around.

Victoria told Kyle she’d need more than tea if they were going to talk about Claire. Kyle thought they should, so they got some drinks and moved to the couch. Victoria admitted she didn’t regret what she had going with Kyle. He said he loved Claire but not anymore.

Victoria and Kyle agreed they had chemistry, but it wasn’t romantic. Kyle suggested they come clean with people anyway to assuage their guilt. Victoria didn’t feel ashamed enough to say anything, plus it was nobody’s business. Kyle agreed, and they thought it was hot to have a secret like that. Victoria said every time he texted with an agenda, the danger of getting caught added to the thrill. Kyle suggested they change how their names showed up on each other’s phones. Victoria chose Natasha as her code name; Kyle suggested Hawkeye, Daredevil, or Winter Soldier. Victoria said she was thinking more about Natasha from Bullwinkle than Avengers, and put him in her phone as Boris.

Nick Sees His Drug Dealer

At Crimson Lights, Nick had just taken a seat when his drug dealer came in; he demanded to know what he was doing there. He told Nick he’d seen Marie earlier and that she mentioned she knew Nick. “No, Marie’s not in Genoa City anymore,” Joe said.

Joe told Nick that he could think what he wanted. Nick snapped that he was to stay away from him and Marie, get out, and never come back. Sharon and Esther were shocked when Nick physically threw the guy out.

Sharon got Nick out to the patio since he was so enraged. He asked for time alone, but she wouldn’t go. He angrily told Sharon that the guy was his dealer. Sharon was being supportive and said they would get through it. “Who is we? Do you have a drug problem?!” Nick snapped. Furious, he said that the way she was talking to him and how she’d dragged him outside was like using kid gloves with him. 

Esther gave Nick some herbal tea. He apologized for the scene and for what he said to her. Nick realized he needed to regulate his reactions. He said that when he saw him, he just wanted to wipe him off the earth so what happened to him wouldn’t happen to anyone else. 

Nick told Sharon how Joe told him that he’d seen Marie. Sharon thought maybe Joe wanted to rile him up to tempt him to use again. Nick thought that was a possibility.

The Newmans Rally For Nick

At the ranch, Nikki was working when Victor came in and joined her. He wondered how she thought Nick was doing without the pills. Nikki said he seemed well but needed all the support he could get from family and friends. Victor guessed she was about to suggest again that Jack help Nick.

Nikki said that was Nick’s call to make and pointed out that Victor brought up Jack. As they began to bicker, Adam interrupted. He said that he had quashed a story when Nick was in rehab, but Marie Kirkland was found unconscious in a room at the same motel as before. 

Adam said she was barely breathing and in the hospital. They were all concerned about how Nick would react. Although Newman Media wasn’t going to publish about it, he figured Nick could find out a number of other ways. Nikki called Victoria and told her they wanted the whole family there to share some news with Nick. 

Adam called Nick and asked him to come to the ranch so they could talk. When he arrived, he asked why everyone was there, assumed it was an intervention, but swore he was clean. Victor explained it wasn’t that, and that they believed him.

When Nick found out that Marie had been found in a motel room, unconscious, he couldn’t believe it. He said that she had left town to see family, and it couldn’t be her.
