TL;DR: In today’s Young and the Restless recap, Nick gives Phyllis an intense ultimatum: return the company or go to prison, and he is willing to implicate her and Victor to make it happen. Meanwhile, Devon pushes back hard on Holden, calling him an opportunist, leading Lily to worry about Devon’s underlying anger.
The Young and the Restless Recap June 3

At the new Shadow Room, Noah checked for any message from his dad, but had nothing. Sienna told him that the club was a lot to take in, and although she knew he was working on it, she wasn’t ready for the finished product.
Noah said the plan was for them to run the place together, but now worried there were more negative memories than positive ones there. Sienna said he might be right because seeing it was hitting her in a way she didn’t expect.
Claire Opens Up About Holden to Victoria

At Society, Victoria caught up with Claire as she’d just gotten back from New York. She asked how Malcolm and Holden were. Claire told her all the details and all the sightseeing she did, along with letting Holden have family time.
Victoria wondered if things were more serious with Holden now. Claire said they were more than friends but didn’t think she was ready for labels. Victoria recalled how Claire had reservations about getting involved with Holden, as she suspected he had secrets and wondered what had changed.
Claire admitted she still thought Holden and Audra had a secret from their past but didn’t want to obsess over it anymore. She said that when he felt vulnerable, he opened up and she saw another side to him.
Holden came in, so Victoria left, and he got an extra-long hug from Claire. Holden told her about his conversation with Devon. Claire reminded him of her first impression of the Newmans and said they came around, so she had hope for him.
Holden said he was committed to proving to the family that he was who he said he was and that they could trust him, although given Devon’s attitude, he had his work cut out for him.
Devon Warns Holden Not To Coast on the Winters’ Name

Holden came into Crimson Lights and ran into Lily and Devon, who asked how Malcolm was doing, and he reported that he was doing well. They hoped for his release in a few more days, so they talked about coordinating to be there together for it as Devon watched curiously at their rapport.
After Lily left to take a call from Mattie, Holden and Devon talked about their strained relationship. Devon reminded Holden how protective he wa of his family, and Holden said he remembered him making that clear when he and Damian first came to town.
Devon said he hoped Holden didn’t use the situation to his advantage and said he seemed like an opportunist. He said that his opinion of Holden hadn’t changed since he first met him, and that he would have to prove himself. “To you?” Holden asked. “To anyone with the last name Winters,” Devon declared, adding that they worked hard for what they had and they weren’t Holden’s meal ticket.
Holden assured Devon that he wasn’t there to use anyone. Lily returned, and Devon told her they were talking about the importance of protecting family. Holden told Lily he’d talk to her later and went to get a coffee.
Lily Confronts Devon About His Anger

Once alone, Lily asked Devon why he would give Holden a hard time right now. “Why do you have so much compassion for people who don’t deserve it?” Devon asked, but shetold him that he had to stop lashing out at people in the name of protecting her.
Lily said that she knew he didn’t trust Cane or Holden, but wondered if the real problem was that Devon didn’t trust her. Lily said he was stuck in his anger and mad at the world, and she didn’t want to be like that. She was worried Devon’s anger went deeper than what happened with Dom.
Nick Gives Phyllis an Ultimatum

At GCAC, Phyllis couldn’t believe that Nick would lie to the police and blackmail her after she saved his life. She asked if he had been released from the hospital too soon, and he told her he was fine. “No, you’re not — you’re a drug addict! The Nick Newman I know would never do this to me!” she cried.
Nick said he was grateful and knew he wouldn’t be alive if not for Phyllis. “But what do you want? You asked, I answered. And what happened doesn’t change the fact that you stole my family’s company from us!” Nick told her. He said she couldn’t wipe the slate clean.
Phyllis told Nick tearfully that she didn’t save his life to be let off the hook; she saved it because it was him. “And I owe you that life. But I’m telling you right now, if you do not give my family the company back, you are going to prison,” Nick told her intensely.
Michael interrupted, but Nick repeated that Phyllis had given him no choice, but he wasn’t enjoying “doing this” to her. Phyllis told him not to do it then, but Nick said she had until the end of the day to make up her mind.
Phyllis Has One Last Chance to Return Newman

Phyllis told Michael that Nick was threatening to hand her over to the authorities for harboring a fugitive. “Nick is willing to lie to the police and tell them that he told me Matt Clark is wanted in Vegas,” Phyllis added. “Even after I saved your life, right, Nick?”
Nick told Michael that if Phyllis gave the company back, then he wouldn’t talk to Vegas and he’d have the charges dropped but Michael pointed out Victor would still want Phyllis to pay. Nick said he could handle Victor, and he would tell Christine she couldn’t prove Phyllis had Matt, and he would tell her all the emails were fabricated to force Phyllis’ hand.
Michael pointed out that Nick would implicate Victor and put him in legal jeopardy. Nick said as long as Phyllis did what he wanted, he’d make sure that Christine didn’t have a case. “I’ve given you your options; the next move is yours,” Nick told her before leaving.
Stephanie Returns With a Potential New Role

In the lobby, Nate was surprised to see Stephanie, but she said Malcolm was in top-notch condition. She shared that she was in town because Genoa City Hospital had called to see if she’d be interested in serving as their chief of staff. Nate admitted he’d put her name in the running.
Nate reminded Stephanie that he used to be the chief of surgery and he’d been asked if he was interested, but he wasn’t because he was happy at Winters. He thought they would be lucky to have Stephanie instead.
Victor Questions Nick’s Deal With Phyllis

At the ranch, Nick came to see his dad, who asked if he’d been to the clinic yet. Nick said he hadn’t had time yet, but he would. Victor told him that Matt claims to remember everything and was very remorseful. Nick asked if Victor was buying it and if he was willing to let him off the hook. “Good question,” Victor replied.
Nick told Victor he’d made an offer to Christine to drop the charges against Phyllis if they handed over Matt. Victor said he wouldn’t have approved of it had he known. Nick reminded Victor that Phylli saved his life and he cared about her; he didn’t want to see her go to prison.
Victor agreed he was immensely grateful that Phyllis saved Nick’s life, but he wanted the company back. Nick told him about his threat and said he was willing to implicate her. But he also said that if she did the right thing, then he’d prove to Christine that the incriminating emails were fake.
Victor tried to keep up with all of Nick’s promises. Nick told him he didn’t think Christine would care that the emails were fake if they gave him Matt, but Victor disagreed. He asked if Nick thought Matt should be punished, but Nick didn’t know anymore.
Phyllis Realizes She May Have No Choice Left

Alone at the bar, Phyllis vented to Michael about Nick extorting her after she saved his life. She wondered when it would end, but Michael said Nick had just confirmed it wouldn’t. He suggested it was time for Phyllis to move on.
Phyllis told Michael that the Newmans were resentful because she beat them at their own game and they couldn’t take it. She said others had done it, but for her, it was one attack after another, and she was exhausted. Phyllis admitted that for the first time, she was realizing that the only option was to give it all back.
