The Young and the Restless Recap June 11: Victor Makes Phylis A Deal, Billy Offends Lily, and Nick Shares His Truth

TL;DR: In today’s Young and the Restless recap, Victor surprises Phyllis with a business opportunity, while Nick finds the courage to speak openly about his recovery journey. Lily and Billy clash over Cane, and Victor has a huge request of the family regarding Matt. Lauren is still on Team Phyllis.

The Young and the Restless Recap June 11

At the Chancellor Park Cafe, Stephanie told Nate that she had accepted the job as chief of staff at Memorial Hospital and wanted to buy him lunch to thank him for the recommendation.

Stephanie noted that Nate was one of the top surgeons in the country and asked if he’d consider returning to medicine. Nate said right now, he was content building the family business.

Victor Offers Phyllis a New Beginning

Phyllis was packing up her office and talking to her portrait when Victor walked in. He heard her say that even after she did the right thing, she lost it all. “Did you come to escort me out? Don’t worry, I’m not going to steal anything,” she quipped.

Victor said that he wanted to make a deal with Phyllis and shut the door behind him. He told her that all charges had been dropped and she was cleared. Victor told Phyllis that it took guts to take his company, and he was commending her for it. “You stood up to me, and you won,” Victor said.

Victor said that although it was only for a short time, she had the guts to do it. “So because I’ve hit rock bottom, and you’ve won, now you want to commend me on my business skills?” Phyllis asked. Victor took a seat across from the desk and said he wanted to offer her a future.

Victor explained that he didn’t completely destroy Arabesque and that there was something left, a company that was a fixer-upper but that he thought she could turn it into something viable and strong. Victor told Phyllis there was no catch; it was hers to take and run with it if she wanted to.

Victor told her the reason behind it was simple: she saved Nick’s life. He reminded her that he’d told her he wouldn’t forget it, and this was proof. Victor motioned to the desk and told her to have her stuff out by the end of the day before he walked out again.

Lily Reveals Her Chancellor Decision to Billy

At GCAC, Lily asked Billy to meet her, and she told him that Victor gave Chancellor to her. Billy wished her well, noting he’d rather she had it than Victor. When Billy asked, Lily explained that he needed an open, positive mind for what she was about to tell him.

Lily admitted she asked Cane to run Chancellor so she could stay on at Winters. Billy was agitated and told Lily that Cane was playing her, and there was no question that she would regret that choice.

Lily was ticked that Billy thought she was that naive. She noted that Katherine and Cane were very close, and she was clear who she wanted to run it. Billy thought Katherine would’ve changed her mind if she’d experienced Dumas. He wondered if Devon knew that she’d asked Cane and noted that Devon distrusted him even more than Billy did.

Lily said she was sorry if Billy was hurt, but she felt it was the right choice. Billy told her that what she was feeling was a resurfacing of past feelings, and that it was clouding her judgment. Lily admitted she did have feelings for Cane and that part of her was doing it as a thank you for what Cane did for Malcolm.

Billy Warned Lily Not To Trust Cane

When Lily added that she wanted to give Cane a way to remember who he was before the whole Dumas debacle, Billy snapped with certainty that that Cane was gone. He said she was chasing a phantom, and it was only a matter of time before he pulled the rug out from under her again, but he wished her the best.

Billy and Lily argued about his opinion and how insulting she found it that he didn’t think she could make her own decisions. Billy maintained it was an unsound decision that she was making.

Lily reminded Billy that she wasn’t handing over ownership to Cane. She added that she thought Billy cared about Cane more than he distrusted him, but he told her not to get carried away. Billy planned to act surprised when Cane told him the news, to see how he acted.

Nick Speaks at His First Meeting

At Crimson Lights, Nick told Nikki that he thought he was ready to talk at a meeting, but he was uncomfortable and asked if she would go with him. Nikki told Nick she would and explained to him what to expect.

At the meeting, Nikki and Nick took a seat in the circle. Tearfully, Nick introduced himself and said he was an addict. He said it wasn’t his first meeting, but it was the first one where he was talking. Nick explained that his perception of what an addict looked like was thrown out the window by seeing all of them.

Nick said he realized that he wasn’t the hero he thought he was and told how he OD’d in front of his father and son, and the man who saved him with his ex was the guy he hated most in the world.

Nick cried that it killed him every day knowing that he let everyone down and said he would do whatever it took to change. He didn’t want to see the looks on the faces of those he loved as he had, and he wanted to do it for himself.

Nick Shares His Progress With His Family

After the meeting, Nick and Nikki went back to Crimson Lights and talked about it with Sharon and Noah. Nick appreciated their support but asked everyone to help keep him accountable, and they promised they would be there for him always.

During their conversation, Sharon and Nikki realized Nick was recognizing triggers and commended him on it. Sharon added that it was so important and would help him, especially with Matt living at the ranch. Noah and Nikki were upset at the news, but Nick said Victor promised he was under constant supervision.

Just then, Nick was summoned to the ranch, along with Sharon and Noah. Nikki wanted to come and tell off Victor, but Nick asked her to wait.

Phyllis and Lauren Make a New Plan

Phyllis met Lauren at Society and told her about Victor’s offer. Lauren didn’t trust Victor for a second and thought he was holding a grudge. Phyllis, however, believed him. “I saved Nick’s life. Shouldn’t I be able to rebuild my own?” she asked.

Phyllis told Lauren that they could take all of their creative ideas they ahd for Summers Conglomerate and put them into Arabesque. She also knew that it had been a lot and if Lauren wanted to walk, it was okay. That said, she tearfully thanked Lauren for standing by her.

Lauren told Phyllis that if she truly believed in Arabesque, then she was in. “Let’s do it,” Lauren told her.

Victor Unveils His Plan for Matt

At the ranch, Matt was anxious to get started on Victor’s plan for him to go after Cane so Matt could work on getting forgiveness from his family. Victor said he could work on both soon.

Adam and Chelsea came in, as summoned by Victor. Matt said that he remembered them from Vegas and acknowledged it must be uncomfortable for them. He apologized for things he’d done and said he wished he could go back in time to undo them.

When Noah, Nick, and Sharon arrived, Matt apologized again. Sharon said that seeing him again brought it all back. Victor told everyone that he knew seeing Matt was unsettling, but he had a plan and needed everyone on board.

Victor said that his plan required Matt to blend in to Genoa City as a regular citizen, so if they saw him around town, to just treat him accordingly.

Phyllis Agrees to Victor’s Request

Later, Phyllis arrived to see Victor alone, concerned that it was a trick. Victor told her he’d just sent her all the paperwork to make the transfer of ownership complete. He said he hoped that it would help mend fences with Summer.

Victor told Phyllis that he had a plan that involved Matt Clark and that Nick was on board with it, and needed her to be as well. He asked Phyllis not to say anything to anyone about Matt or his history and she gave his word that she wouldn’t.
