Sienna called from The Shadow Room to ask Noah how Nikki was doing. He said Nikki sent everyone home when she woke up, so he was just hanging out at home. He said he had FOMO, but she told him to get some rest, especially when he seemed to be falling asleep standing up.

Sienna hung up and turned around to see Audra walk in. She told Audra that Noah wasn’t there. The two exchanged barbs, and Audra seemed to be stalling in ordering, so Audra said if she was waiting on Noah, she’d be waiting a while. “Are you saying that as the co-owner or the girlfriend?” Audra asked. “At least you acknowledge I am the girlfriend,” Sienna retorted. “For now,” Audra replied.

Later, Audra was still sitting at the bar and looked around. “He’s really not here?” Audra mused. “This is why no one wants to hang with you. You’re sitting here at the bar, just being annoying,” Sienna told her.

Audra thought it was unlikely for Noah to leave Sienna alone to handle things, and noted it was still early. Sure enough, Noah came in and Audra immediately turned on the charm, making Sienna laugh.

Phyllis Tries to Steer Matt Away From Victor

Phyllis and Matt at Crimson Lights

Phyllis and Matt went to Crimson Lights after she “rescued” him from Cane, as she put it. Matt touted how great Cane was, building himself as Dumas out of nothing, and wanting to do the same.

Matt said he had a lot to make up for. “I brought nothing to this world except drugs, and fear, and anguish,” he explained. Phyllis understood what he was saying but didn’t think Cane was his guy. “I remember every horrible thing that I’ve ever done. I’m living a nightmare,” he added.

Phyllis told him that although she understood his false praise to Cane was cringy and it wasn’t who Matt was. She knew Victor had to be behind it.

Matt said that things were “scratchy” between Phyllis and Cane. He also thought it was odd that Phyllis wanted to protect him but didn’t want to go on a date with him. Phyllis just maintained that Cane wasn’t going to help him change his image.

“I don’t want to walk into a room and have people afraid of me,” Matt told her. “What you did in the past, it causes you pain, and I see that about you. I want you to know that I see that,” Phyllis said. Matt thanked her and said she might be the only one.

Matt wondered what Phyllis’ advice was. “If you don’t think I should turn to Cane for friendship, what should I do? Are you saying I should turn to you?” he asked.

Phyllis simply advised Matt not to be under Victor’s thumb. They decided to go get something stronger than coffee, and Matt wanted to go to the Shadow Room. Phyllis didn’t think that was a good idea, but Matt said the only way to get a future is to acknowledge his past.

Matt Returns to The Shadow Room

When Phyllis walked in with Matt, Noah rushed to their table to tell them they couldn’t be there. Matt insisted it was healthy for him to heal, and Phyllis added that he had changed. Noah argued it a little but allowed them to stay as long as Matt stayed away from Sienna and offered to take their drink order.

Matt noted that Phyllis defended him again and asked why. Phyllis said she cared about him, but Matt said he didn’t trust her. He noted that the last time she said that was just before she knocked him unconscious. Phyllis said she did care for him and knew how he felt about having his sins stapled to him.

Phyllis apologized to Matt for hurting him and hoped he believed she enjoyed their friendship, and said she didn’t have an agenda. Matt told her she was really hot, and it clouded her judgment. Phyllis told him that he was already a better version of himself.

Matt didn’t know what to do with Phyllis, and asked if she was being serious. He said that she wore a mask to protect herself but he was interested in the person behind it.

At the bar, Audra and Sienna were disturbed at the sight of Matt across the room. Audra recounted how she’d been there in the park with Noah the day he saw Matt and how protective Noah had been of her. Sienna told her it had more to do with Matt than her.

Noah came to get Matt’s drinks and asked Sienna to keep her distance from Matt that night. “You, too,” he said to Audra as he walked away. Audra smirked at Sienna and repeated smugly, “Protective.”

Audra approached Noah while Sienna was behind the bar. She soothingly empathized with his stressful time, dealing with his family dramas and with Matt. She told him that if he ever needed a friend, she was there. Noah said he knew he could count on her and she warmly held his hand. Over at the bar, Sienna’s jaw dropped.

Jack Is Found Fighting for His Life

Jack, Kyle, and Diane at the Abbott mansion

At the Abbott mansion, Kyle and Diane walked in and discussed her upcoming reunion with Jack. Diane was almost giddy with excitement, and a little nervous, but she couldn’t wait and was ready for it to finally happen.

They wondered where Jack could be, but he didn’t answer when they called out. Jack was lying on the dining room floor, bleeding out. He heard them and was weakly able to pull the tablecloth.

In the living room, Kyle and Diane heard the sound of dishes crashing and went to investigate. They spotted Jack on the floor and rushed to him. Kyle called an ambulance but was shocked to find out they were already en route. Meanwhile, Diane begged Jack not to leave them as she realized that it was Patty who must have stabbed him.

When the paramedics and police arrived, Kyle told the officer that they thought it was Patty Williams who stabbed Jack and that she could still be in the house somewhere. The police did a room-by-room search with guns ready.

Meanwhile, Det. Burrow arrived and talked to Kyle while Diane stayed with Jack. Kyle told him that Patty stabbed Jack, and that he’d gone to pick up Diane from Dr. Markham’s and when they got there, they found Jack on the floor. Burrow snapped at him for not calling him before “rescuing” Diane. Kyle explained they didn’t want to tip off Patty. “How’d that work out for you?” Burrow swiped.

Upstairs, when the officers got to the bedroom, they found Patty cowering on the ground. She had blood on her arms and was shaking, begging them not to let “her” hurt her. They escorted Patty downstairs as the paramedics were leaving with Jack. Patty rushed to Jack, acting concerned, and screamed at Diane to get away from him.

Diane lunged at Patty but Det. Burrow got between them. Patty accused Diane of “doing this” to them. She told the police that she and Jack were enjoying their evening when Diane burst in, upset that Jack had chosen her over Diane. Patty claimed to have said that Diane would have to go through her to get to Jack, and that’s when she came at them with a knife.

Patty had wounds on her arms but wanted Diane arrested before being tended to. She claimed that Diane escaped her therapist to come attack them and noted the blood on her hands that proved it.
