The Young and the Restless Recap July 3

At the Abbott mansion, Jack worried that he’d sent Kyle alone to Markham’s house and that the doctor or his dogs might have hurt his son. Frustrated that Kyle wasn’t returning his calls, he checked Patty’s phone and saw that the message he’d sent to Markham had no response. Jack yelled at the phone that the games ended tonight.
Patty came in from the hot tub and tried to lure him into it, but Jack wasn’t into it. Despite Jack talking about Diane, Patty told him that she was raised Catholic, so they were married forever. “I want my wife back,” Jack fumed. “Here she is, the first and last Mrs. Jack Abbott,” Patty cooed while flipping her hair.
“Bigamy is illegal,” Jack reminded Patty. “So is murder,” she shot back.
Jack was clear that he didn’t want Patty, but she told him to fake it to you make it because if he didn’t, Diane would pay the price.
Patty Pushes Jack to Choose Her

Jack told Patty that the only reason they were speaking at that moment was that she’d threatened Diane. Patty told him not to think of it as a threat; think of it as a noble act to help Diane while they made love.
When Jack rejected her harshly, she sat on the couch and told him how lonely a life she had had, institutionalized with no one to care about her or hold her hand. She had Jack’s attention until she told him that he owed her for having her locked up. “I deserve this, Jack,” she seethed.
Jack snapped that she wasn’t locked up because of him; it was because her being free in the world brings death and destruction. He told her that she had no say over Diane, that Markham had her in his home, that he called the shots, and that he protected her from Diane.
Jack told her that it was all over anyway since Kyle was at Markham’s and Patty told him that he cheated on her with Diane years ago and it drove her to darkness. And now, Diane was sitting in hers after catching them cheating. She told him that all of their dreams could come true if he made love to her. Patty stripped and told him to choose her.
Jack Reveals His Plan

Patty got rejected again and decided it was because Jack didn’t like his presents unwrapped. She went to the bedroom, put on some music, and spritzed herself with perfume as she daydreamed about their time on the yacht.
Downstairs, Jack messaged Kyle, asking if he was in the house yet and if he found Diane. Out loud, he said they had a plan to get in, get past the dogs, and get out again with Diane. He said he would take care of the unwanted houseguest while Kyle did his part of the plan.
Jack went upstairs and found Patty naked in the bed. Instead of joining her, he pulled out her phone and asked if she recognized it. “Your password is Kitty,” he said. Jack told her that Kyle was on his way back with Diane and explained how he used he phone to lure Markham away to save his wife.
Patty saw the missed call from Laurence and felt betrayed that Jack hid it from her. She said she loved him her whole life and he was always wrong about her. Adding there was no pride in love, and now she had to call the doctor and tell him to kill Diane.
Kyle Reaches Diane

At Dr. Markham’s house, Diane muttered about Laurence as she had outbursts, calling out to tell Jack that she was over him, just in case he had hidden cameras watching her. She heard a loud crash, dogs barking, and shrieked. “Laurence?” she called out. Diane was shocked when Kyle walked into the room.
Kyle and Diane quickly compared notes and knew that Markham had lied to all of them. Diane wanted to get out of there, but Kyle said he had given the dogs all the meat he could carry, but they would be their next meal.
Kyle said there had to be another way out, but she showed him the locks on everything. He thought he could try to remove some with a toolbox, but Diane said there wasn’t time. She was about to see if there was anything to feed the dogs when Markham’s car pulled down the driveway.
Diane begged him to hide, but Kyle told her it was over because Markham couldn’t hold both of them. She said she was the one trapped there and had a plan and to trust him and go hide. After some more resistance, Kyle finally left the room as Markham was unlocking the door.
Diane Drugs Dr. Markham

When Markham came in, he told Diane she looked flushed and asked if something happened while he was out. Around the corner in the hallway, Kyle listened. Diane told Laurence she’d made him some canapés to start and went to get them.
Diane was pleased he was eating the canapés and asked for the glass of wine he’d promised. He started acting drowsy as he rambled about how they’d talked about her feelings and the transference of attraction she was experiencing for him.
Dr. Markham told her how attracted he was to her as well, but as he moved in for a kiss, she told him he should lie down. Touting her resourcefulness, Diane told Laurence that the canapés were laced with sedatives. “You can come out now!” she called to Kyle.
Kyle walked in and helped Diane hold up Dr. Markham as he swayed. He wanted to call the police because he’d been drugged, but they got him into a chair as he fell unconscious. Kyle asked what was next, and Diane took Laurence’s keys from his pocket, saying they just needed to open the front door and then get to his car.
Diane Answers Patty’s Call

“Which key is it?” Kyle asked. Diane told him to start trying keys, so he did. Diane jumped when Laurence’s phone started buzzing. She took it from his pocket and saw that it was Patty calling. “Do I dare?” she asked Kyle. “Oh, I think you do,” he smirked.
Diane answered it, but Patty gasped at the sound of Diane’s voice and couldn’t speak. She threw down the phone on the bed, insisting it was a trick. “That’s what failure sounds like,” Jack told her.
Jack threw Patty’s clothes at her and told her to get out. She left in a huff as Jack picked up the phone and asked Diane if she was okay. She told him that she and Kyle were fine and trying to get out as soon as possible. They both said they had things to say but would wait.
Patty Stabs Jack

Diane and Kyle got into Kyle’s car and called Jack on the speakerphone. They told Jack how they had their plan, but Diane had her own, and she knocked Markham out.
Jack assured them that Patty was gone, too. He said he would burn everything she touched in the house and couldn’t wait to see them. Jack hung up and poured himself a drink. As he swigged it down, he saw Patty standing by the doorway to the dining room.
Jack told Patty to leave, but she told him she loved him her whole life. Patty made her way over to him and got up close as she added, “This is what real love looks like; you just never understood.” Patty grabbed Jack and kissed him.
As Jack went to pull away, Patty plunged a very big knife into him. She helped him collapse to the floor as blood soaked the carpet. Patty lay with Jack and told him it was okay; she was there with him. “I believe in the afterlife, Jack,” she said. She kissed his head, told him she loved him, and said they would be together forever.

Why would detective borrow believe anything that Patty has to see knowing the police officers know Patty’s history of being institutionalized in a psychiatric facility she has escaped her therapist and try to frame Diane for stabbing Jack Abbott it is sad because how Patty put clothes on right then in there after Jack threw her out of his room and was able to go downstairs and talk to Diana call on the phone and he knew that they was on their way home so how the writers going to put this in and how did Patty have time to put clothes on and I was just a few seconds after him throwing her downstairs and telling him to get out this storyline sucks
