The Young and the Restless Recap July 15: Victor Explodes Over Nikki’s Visit to Jack, Kyle Talks To Patty

TL;DR: In The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, July 15, Nikki opens up to Jack about her fears, Victor erupts after learning she visited the hospital, Adam and Chelsea try to stop Victor from targeting Sally, and Kyle pays Patty a visit in jail.

The Young and the Restless Recap July 15

Victoria walked her mom into Jack’s hospital room, and he was alarmed when he saw her with the patches over her eyes. “Are you trying to one-up me?” he said, making her laugh. He said that a homicidal maniac didn’t like his attitude, but wanted to know what happened to Nikki.

Victoria left them alone while she got coffee. Once alone, Jack asked why Nikki was hiding how scared she was from Victoria. Nikki admitted she was more afraid than she had ever been in her life. She reluctantly told Jack about her operation and why.

When the conversation shifted to Victor, Nikki was upset that everything that happened all began with Victor bringing Patty to town. Jack told her that he and Diane were fine, and Victor didn’t win. “But does he know what he’s lost?” Nikki asked.

Kyle Questions Victoria About Victor

In the waiting room, Kyle saw Victoria crying and went to check on her. She told him it tugged at her heart to see Jack and Nikki bond while they were going through such extreme situations. Kyle agreed it was a good thing but knew Victor wouldn’t see it that way if he found out.

Victoria said she was hopeful the situation would bring her parents back together. She shared that she expected to regain her eyesight when the bandages were removed. Victoria balked at herself for discussing Nikki’s personal information, but Kyle assured her she could talk about personal matters with him; it was safe.

Victoria admitted she didn’t agree with Victor interfering in Nikki’s friendship with Jack. Kyle asked if that meant she was ready to admit that Victor was wrong for what he did to Jack. Victoria got her back up and didn’t want to talk about it.

Kyle pressed anyway and told her that no one in her family would hold Victor accountable. “And that’s my fault?” Victoria asked. Kyle said it was Victor’s fault but needed to understand how they went to family dinners and pretended he wasn’t who he was.

Kyle asked when enough was enough for someone to stand up to him. Victoria looked at Nikki in Jack’s room through the door window and mused that maybe someone had.

Diane Notices Kyle’s Anger

Kyle and Victoria came into Jack’s room and joined their parents. Jack held Nikki’s hand as he told her that he would always be there for her. Outside the door, Diane watched and shook her head.

Diane came in and was taken aback when Nikki turned around and she saw her bandages. Nikki explained she’d had surgery but wished her well. Diane hoped that Nikki was okay, and was humbled when Nikki told her that she and Jack were so lucky to have each other.

After Victoria and Nikki left, Diane told Jack that he looked and sounded better. Kyle said he should give them some alone time so Diane told him that it made her feel good having both of them safe with her. Kyle told her he intended to keep her safe.

After Kyle left, Diane lay with Jack and asked if Kyle seemed a little preoccupied with something. She noted that when Kyle showed up at Markham’s, he was so calm and steady, and then they found Jack and she thought Kyle was shaken and angry.

Jack thought it was understandable but assured her it would fade once they went home as a family together. “I think we’ll all be okay,” he said.

Adam and Chelsea Try to Change Victor’s Mind

At the ranch, Victor received a call back with the update he’d requested. A man told him that Patty Williams didn’t make bail, and that Jack was off the critical list. However, he also told him that Victor’s family was about to visit, and Victor demanded to know who was at the hospital.

Victor found out that Nikki and Victoria were with Jack, but before he could do anything about it, Adam and Chelsea came in. They asked Victor what was wrong as he hung up the phone, and he told them there had been another betrayal but wouldn’t say what. Chelsea told Victor that they were there to ask him not to go after Sally Spectra.

Chelsea explained that she and Adam wanted to build a new company. Adam agreed that they should keep pushing forward for a new challenge and a new triumph. “Isn’t that what Newman Enterprises has always been about?” he asked.

Victor said they should focus on getting Newman Media back so Billy wouldn’t profit from it. Chelsea blurted out that Cane offered Billy a job at Chancellor so he wouldn’t have anything to do with the media company. Victor laughed that he didn’t need to go after Cane by himself anymore because Billy would do it for him. “Anything the Abbotts get involved with goes south,” he added.

Victor Insists On Going After Sally

Victor said he would go after Chancellor now that he knew Cane and Billy would be there together. Adam pitched to give them six months to build their own company. “I’ll make you one offer. Take it or leave it,” Victor said.

Victor said it was all right with him if they didn’t want to go after Sally Spectra personally. And, if they wanted to make a new Newman Media, he wouldn’t make an issue of it. “I don’t interfere in what you want, and you don’t interfere in my plans,” Victor added. Chelsea clarified he was still going after Spectra Charles. “How is this any different than what you just said?” Adam asked.

Victor explained he wanted the company for Adam. “And I want to get back what is mine. It’s a win-win situation,” Victor told him. Adam said it wasn’t good for Sally, but Victor didn’t care.

Victor accused them of feeling guilty for being together, but Adam insisted it was about decency. Victor made it clear he didn’t care about guilt; he cared about justice.

Victor Erupts After Nikki Visits Jack

Victoria and Nikki returned home as Chelsea and Adam left. Victor questioned how their walk was that they told him they were going on. Victoria revealed that they went into town instead, so Victor asked more questions.

Victoria said that her bandages were coming off the next day. Victor asked why she didn’t go to the appointment she had for that day. Nikki realized Victor already knew they’d seen Jack and called it out.

Victor was enraged and finger-pointed at them for seeing Jack. Nikki didn’t deny it but he stomped out before anything was really said.

Kyle Confronts Patty

Kyle went to the jail to see Patty. “You are not the Abbott I was hoping for,” she said. Patty said that he didn’t need to visit, as she and Jack would have invited him to the house eventually.

Kyle asked if that was her plan when she left Jack bleeding on the floor. “Why the attitude?” she groaned. Patty tried to dismiss Kyle, but he told her why he was really there. He said she was going to give him the proof he needed that Victor was behind everything so he could take him down.
