Devon came home, upset after seeing Cane, but couldn’t let on. He told Abby he was worried about Lily and the kids as they weren’t responding to calls and messages, but didn’t tell her that he knew they’d been kidnapped.

Dom ran in, saying he had a bad dream. He said he dreamt he was in a large, snowy field, alone, and every time he ran to them, they turned into a snowman like the one he was building with Abby the night that Mariah took him away.

Dom asked if Abby could lie with him until he fell asleep, so she took him back upstairs. When Abby returned, she and Devon decided that Dom should talk to a child psychologist.

Later, Nate came by. Devon told him about his meeting with Cane and how he revealed LIly and the twins were being held by someone, and he thought he knew why.

Devon explained Victor’s situation and suggested he’d taken Lily and the kids for leverage. He wondered what he was capable of.

Nate shared that Victoria didn’t let on any info about Lily, but did say that Adam seemed to be Victor’s confidante now. They told Abby they were going to go check out a lead they had on Lily.

Nick came back to Crimson Lights and said Victoria was hoping he’d go with her to Milan in the morning to talk Summer into turning on Phyllis.

Sharon insisted she was making progress with Phyllis and didn’t think they should do something to push her over the edge.

Just then, Noah and Sienna came in and told them that she was back. Nick and Sharon asked what changed her mind, noting that she claimed Genoa City didn’t feel like home.

Sienna said that L.A. didn’t feel like it either, as everywhere she went, she saw Matt. Nick told her she wasn’t going to escape that in Genoa City, because he was back.

Noah told them that they already knew, and how. He showed them the riddle he had gotten by text.

None of them understood how Matt could’ve had the charges dropped, but Sienna said James Burrow told her that the court misconstrued something. Noah got another message from Matt, telling him to sleep with one eye open.

Det. Burrow came to the coffee lights and explained that the judge felt that the case was compromised due to his relationship with Annie.

James didn’t know whether Annie was always corrupt or whether Matt had flipped her, but he thought the judge was wrong. Nick noted it didn’t matter now.

Noah asked if Burrow could get some cops to help look for Matt, but he said that since Matt was released legally, that wasn’t an option. Instead, he suggested they take the law into their own hands.

Sharon and Nick agreed that Matt always comes back, and he’s probably waiting to pounce. Burrow and Noah thought that since Matt just got a lucky break from the judge, he’d probably not risk his freedom.

Sharon and Sienna agreed with Nick that Matt was a relentless psycho who would come back yet again, and they had to stop him.

Phyllis Realizes Cane’s Motivations

On the train, Phyllis noted that Cane was freaking out. She asked if he was going to hold her as a prisoner or something.

Cane said that he was having an emergency, and she was reluctant to help. Phyllis told him again that Victor was bluffing.

Phyllis and Cane argued until she told him enough was enough. She said they were going in circles, and she wasn’t going to budge, so he needed to tell Shrek to get out of the way.

Cane stopped Phyllis by the door and told her she wasn’t going anywhere until he got what he wanted.

Cane promised that he and Phyllis could build anything they wanted, bigger and better than Newman or Arabesque, and she could even gut Newman before giving it back.

Phyllis realized that Cane loved Lily and would never give up on her or his kids, and when he said he would before, it was just for her benefit.

Cane tearfully told her that he was lying to himself when he claimed he would detach from his family. He said there was only family and love, and nothing was worth losing either.

Cane asked if Phyllis agreed. He said there could be a way to fool Victor into thinking that he’d won by letting him sit in his office, but she’d keep control.

At the ranch, Victoria was waiting for Nick to tell her if he’d go to Milan with her, but Victor didn’t think it was a good idea, either.

Victor said he already had a plan, and they didn’t need another angle. He was certain that Cane would convince Phyllis to return to the company.

Victoria still thought it was a good idea and explained why. Victor said Nik wouldn’t leave town with Matt Clark on the loose.

Later, Devon and Nate showed up at the ranch and demanded that Victor tell them where Lily and the kids were.
