The Young and the Restless Recap Feb 25

Devon went to the train and wanted to know where Lily was. He could tell that Cane knew more than he was letting on. Devon finally got him to talk when he yelled at him that he just gone through, wondering if he’d see his son again, and he wanted to know where his sister was.
Cane admitted that Lily and the twins had been kidnapped. He said he couldn’t tell him by whom or give details, or they may never see them again.
After some argument, Devon agreed to let Cane do what he could and said he would help, but promised if anything happened to his family in the meantime, he would rain hell on Cane.
Once alone, Cane called Amanda and brought her up to date on everything regarding the kidnapping and Victor’s demand that he convince Phyllis to return the company. He asked her to also work on the plan he spoke to her about.
Victor Notices Nick’s Pain

At the ranch, Nick was enraged that Matt Clark had the charges dropped and was missing. He freaked out that he could be anywhere, even on the ranch. Victor alerted security that finding Matt was a top priority.
Victor noticed that Nick was struggling with his leg and was in pain as he ranted that Victor should have let him deal with Matt the way he wanted to last time.
Nick told Victor that this nightmare with Matt had to end. “And it’s gotta be me who does it!” he yelled. Nick stormed out, wincing with every step.
Nikki was coming down the stairs as Nick left. She came into the living room and asked if everything was alright; Victor said Nick wanted to take care of Matt once and for all.
Victor promised to deal with Matt. Nikki told Victor about Victoria’s plan to get Summer to turn on Phyllis, and that she was waiting til morning to go with Nick. Victor agreed with Nick that the plan wouldn’t work, and thought it was moot anyway since Nick wouldn’t be leaving town with Matt on the loose.
Nikki agreed and said she’d feel a lot better if Victor told her what was really going on with Lily. Victor said she would find out soon enough and walked out of the room.
Sharon Is Phyllis’ Friend

At Crimson Lights, Sharon lectured Phyllis about stealing Newman Enterprises. She said she did the same thing for Victor, but this time she kept some of the rewards.
Sharon told Phyllis that she was going to lose everyone, from Nick to her kids but Phyllis was sure they would all get over it. “If Daniel could forgive you for framing him for the murder of his partner, I think he’ll get over me reaching for the brass ring,” she snapped.
Sharon was appalled that she’d compare what she did to murder. Phyllis said she hadn’t lost her kids, but her point was that Daniel had a forgiving heart.
Phyllis said Sharon was just bashing her in defense of Nick. Sharon backed down and said that, as her friend, if Phyllis felt she was piling on her stress, she’d stop. “My friend?” Phyllis questioned. Sharon wondered if their status had changed.
Phyllis said that she was just not used to people calling her a friend. Sharon thought she’d do the same thing for her, but Phyllis wasn’t so sure. Sharon reminded Phyllis of how she reached out to her from L.A. when Matt Clark had come after their family again.
Phyllis told Sharon she did understand the rage Sharon had felt in that moment, and if she’d known at the time, she would have hopped on a plane to be with her. Sharon said that hearing her voice calmed her down enough to get unclinged from the ceiling.
Sharon Tries to Work With Phyllis

Sharon wondered if that rage was what she felt when she went after the Newmans for all the times they had discarded her. Phyllis agreed, so Sharon continued that Phyllis wanted to show them that they couldn’t do it to her again.
Sharon thought she could help Phyllis. She said that deep down, Phyllis was a good persona nd together, they could right the wrong.
Phyllis thought Sharon was trying to get into her head, and somewhat regretted being friends with her. Nick came in and interrupted. He was grumpy, and it didn’t help when Phyllis told him she wasn’t going to relinquish Newman.
In fact, Phyllis said, she was thinking of changing the name to Summers, Inc. “So you can kiss the ring or get out of my way,” she goaded with a smirk.
Nick and Sharon Make a Plan

Nick promised a sneak attack on Phyllis that would crush her, but she laughed it off and left. Once alone, Sharon confirmed that Nick was bluffing. She told him she thought she was getting through to Phyllis to give the company back, but he said that it would never happen.
Nick was clearly in pain, but snapped at Sharon when she offered to get his prescription refilled. Nick told Sharon they had bigger issues: Matt Clark was back.
Nick told Sharon what he knew and said he was going to do what he should have done weeks ago and put Matt in the ground. He said he couldn’t allow him to hurt anyone he loved ever again.
Sharon worried because Matt always found a way to turn the tables on them. “That’s because we were always the target. This time, he is,” Nick said.
Sienna Surprises Nick, Then Matt Surprises Them Both

Noah was having hot chocolate at Chancellor Park Cafe when Sienna surprised him. She said she missed him since the moment he left L.A. and wanted to be with him.
Noah was thrilled but told her the Newmans had lost everything. Regardless, he was sure his family would love her as much as he did as they got to know her.
Noah got a message from an unknown number with a riddle. “What does Genoa City, Hollywood, and Hell all have in common?” it read. Just then, Det. Burrow called Sienna.
As Sienna took the call and was told that Matt’s charges were dropped, Noah responded to the text. He asked who it was, but the response was “Answer the riddle.” “I don’t know,” Noah wrote. “They’re places you have visited… or will visit soon,” the next text read.
“Very funny. Bye.” Nick responded. He turned to Sienna to find out what Burrow wanted. Sienna saw the texts and realized they were from Matt. “Burrow told me he was released. This is him — he’s not done with us,” she gasped.
Phyllis Visits Cane

Phyllis went to the train and asked him what he wanted. He told her he understood that she did what she did because she felt betrayed, and that he did what he did because he wanted to protect his family.
Cane alluded to having their personal relationship back, but Phyllis was wary of everything he was saying.
Phyllis told Cane she saw Devon leaving as she pulled up. Phyllis realized that Victor hadn’t released Lily yet, but still believed it was all a lie. She thought Cane wanted to use her.
Cane told Phyllis that his family’s lives were at stake and she was the only one who could turn it around for him. She told him she knew Victor better than he did and that he was playing Cane.
Phyllis said Victor wanted to push him into a corner, and he could fall for it, but she wouldn’t. “Just so we’re clear, you’re not going to help,” Cane asked. Phyllis confirmed she wouldn’t participate in saving Lily and the kids from their vacation.
Phyllis went to leave, but a very large bodyguard blocked the doorway. She asked Cane what he expected to gain. “I expect you to give me what I want,” he growled.
