The Young and the Restless Recap August 4: Victor Learns Adam’s Secret Deal, Noah Says Goodbye To Nick

TL;DR: In today’s The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, August 4th, 2026, Billy exposed Adam’s secret deal to Victor, Noah told Nick he was leaving for Los Angeles, Jack questioned Nikki about reconciling with Victor, and Adam’s confrontation with Victor escalated.

The Young and the Restless Recap August 4

Victor called out to Billy at Society, telling him he’d heard Cane was throwing him “some scraps” for work and that he must be humiliated and look like a failure in his mother’s eyes. Billy reminded Victor he tried to put him in jail with evidence he’d faked, and warned Victor not to provoke him.

Victor told Billy that he had always been a loser. Billy walked away, but Victor said that Jill wishes Cane was her son instead. Billy clapped back, asking if he was proud of his puppy dog son, Adam, for pulling off quite the coup by going after Sally.

“And all it took was a little bullying and a big fat check,” Billy snapped. Victor told him he was spewing nonsense, but Billy doubled down and revealed that Adam paid Sally and Audra and that he didn’t want Victor to know about it.

Billy told him that Adam overpaid for the company and lied about it, and Victor was walking around as though he scored the biggest coup of the century. Victor said he should focus on his own life.

Victor said that Lily made a mistake putting Cane and Billy in charge of Chancellor. He guaranteed that Billy would screw things up, and that he would have to clean up the mess, “as always.”

Victor stood to leave and told Billy to have a good day. “Be prepared to lose… again,” Victor growled before walking away. “I always am,” Billy quipped.

Noah Prepares to Leave Genoa City

At Crimson Lights, Noah told Mariah and Sharon that he wasn’t going to tell Nick that he was going to L.A. Sienna arrived and Sharon told her that it was a great idea for them to go. Sienna asked to speak to Sharon privately.

Sharon was open to the conversation and was glad to know that Sienna tried to ask Noah to stay. She understood why they wanted to go, though, and thought it was best for Noah to get away from Matt. Sienna agreed that she couldn’t be around Matt, either, especially when he acts like the Mitch she used to know.

Sienna told Sharon she couldn’t tell if he’d really change, and it was making her and Noah fight. Sharon thought it was taking a toll on them, and said they deserved better. Sharon was determined not to let Matt affect her life.

Meanwhile, Noah and Mariah went to Society, and Noah shared that he felt bad leaving Sharon and Nick. He didn’t think Matt’s turnaround was real and wasn’t sure it was safe to leave, but if it was real, then he’d be stuck seeing Matt’s face all the time. Mariah thought it was a rational, safe decision to put distance between him and Matt.

When they returned to Crimson Lights, Sienna, Sharon, and Mariah all encouraged Noah to tell Nick he was leaving town, and to do it sooner rather than later.

Jack Questions Nikki’s Reunion With Victor

At the Chancellor Park Cafe, Victoria and Nikki talked about Venice, Summer, and Nick. Victoria wanted to visit him, but Nikki told her to give him some time. Jack came by. Victoria told him how happy she was for him that everything worked out. When she left, he took her seat.

Jack questioned Nikki’s reconciliation with Victor. She explained that he stepped up during her eyesight issues and they were able to find the love they still had. Jack recalled how done she was not that long ago. “Do you still think he went too far with what he did with Patty?” Jack asked.

Nikki said she did, but Jack didn’t think anything would stop Victor from doing it again, especially now that he knew she’d stick with him. Nikki explained that Victor told her that he loved her more than he hated Jack, and that he promised to accept their friendship. Jack wondered if they could believe Victor was sincere.

Noah Says Goodbye to Nick

At the rehab, Nick asked for a doctor, saying they needed to give him something to take the edge off the cravings. Noah came for a visit and told his father he was going to L.A. to get away from Matt for a while. He said if it was too much for Nick, he would stay.

Nick said he didn’t want him to leave but respected Noah’s decision. Noah promised it wasn’t permanent; it was just what they needed to do for now. Noah kept telling Nick how bad he felt, but Nick told him he wouldn’t try to talk him out of it.

They said they were best friends and hugged, and Noah said he would be there if they needed anything. Nick hugged him tight and told Noah not to worry about him. After Noah left, Nick cried.

Victor Confronts Adam

Victor summoned Adam to the ranch and told him he knew he’d bought back Newman Media. He wanted the details, but Adam said the point was that he got the company back for him. Victor barked that he had to hear about it from Billy Boy Abbott.

Victoria came in as Adam told Victor that nothing was Sally’s fault. She told Victor she was just helping Nikki with plans for their trip to Italy, information that Adam wasn’t aware of. He said he was going to leave, but Victor wanted an answer. “And I am still waiting for some gratitude,” Adam retorted. He asked Victor to just focus on the positives for once. “We have Newman Media back. Instead of second-guessing me at every turn, why don’t you just congratulate me? Adam seethed.

Adam turned to leave, but Victor warned, “We’re not done with this.” “Guess not,” Adam snapped as he walked out. “What was that about?” Victoria asked.

Victor told Victoria that Billy told him Adam forked out a lot of money to get back Newman Media. Outside, Adam called Sally and told him that Billy blabbed about their deal to Victor. He warned her to tell her fiancé that if he was looking for a fight, he got one.
