Traci, Christine, and Nina

Christine met Nina and Traci at the Shadow Room for a girls’ night out. They were tasked with trying the cocktail menu and giving Danny their feedback, and they were happy to do it. The three took a seat in a booth and talked about Danny giving up touring.

Nina and Traci weren’t surprised at all that Danny would give it up for Christine. They talked about what they were like back in the day when Danny and Traci performed together.

Traci flirted with the “silver fox” bartending, and he gave her his number, and Nina divulged that she was dating someone back in L.A. The girls toasted one another and life as they taste-tested more cocktails.

Traci updated Nina and Christine on what it was like to talk to Martin Laurent again. She realized that he was sick, but also that it wasn’t her fault for what happened; it was his. That said, she was open to whatever the future held because she deserved love.

Lily Seeks Devon’s Support

Devon, Lily, and Cane

Lily asked Devon to come to Society to meet with her and Cane. She told him there was an issue that would affect the family; Devon suggested they talk about it as a family then — sans Cane. Lily immediately defended Cane’s presence as Devon ripped into him, calling him the enemy.

Devon reminded Cane again that he made mistakes that he’d owned up to, and he didn’t help Malcolm as a way to win over Lily. Devon asked what his angle was and warned that he was still on the Winters’ board, and Cane wasn’t getting in the door. Cane gave up arguing the same points over and over, saying Devon was a broken record.

Lily eventually got out that Chancellor was on the line. Lily told Devon the details and what the lawyers said. Devon asked a few questions, then said that he had gotten to know Katherine pretty well and believed that if she knew about it, she’d honor the deal. “Which is what I think the two of you should do,” Devon concluded.

Lily asked if Devon was saying they should just give up and let Billy win. Devon told her it wasn’t about that; there was an agreement in writing that needed to be fulfilled. Lily thought he was simplifying the story. “Is there something I’m missing?” he asked.

Cane and Devon Clash

Cane interjected to point out that there had been multiple ownership changes since the deal and asked how it could be sorted out. Devon said he couldn’t, and the cards were stacked too high. Lily was gobsmacked that Devon was saying to hand Billy the keys and walk away.

Devon questioned her judgment, noting that she was getting awfully worked up about something she didn’t need. He said he’d handed her the keys to Winters and she’d promised to put all her attention into it. She thought he was resisting support because Cane was involved, but Devon thought she was worked up because Cane wasn’t involved — and wouldn’t be — at Winters.

Cane defended Lily, which ticked off Devon again. Lily argued that Devon just wanted Cane to fail. Devon said that if her attorneys thought it was worth the fight, then go for it. “If they don’t, then just know that that’s the side that I’m on because I don’t think you need to waste your time,” Devon told Lily. Cane asked if Devon would change his mind if he wasn’t there.

“Do you just want to hear me say I don’t like you and didn’t think you should be running Chancellor?” Devon asked, totally willing to say it again. He reiterated to Lily he just didn’t think she needed to be in a losing battle. “I don’t intend to lose!” Lily snapped.

Lily Calls Jack With A Proposition

Cane asked if Devon would have fought for his inheritance if it was on the line. “You mean like when your dad tried to forge Katherine’s will to steal my inheritance?” Devon asked. Cane countered that before Devon found out it was fake, he wasn’t going to share a dime of it. “You fought it all the way,” Cane sneered. “Listen to me, if Katherine’s estate had any outstanding debts when I got that inheritance, I would’ve gladly paid it,” Devon told him. He told him that the only thing that mattered was not the money; it was the trust that came with it, which is exactly why he was about to give it back.

“Except when it comes to your own family,” Lily said. She told Devon she wanted his support. “You have it, but I didn’t dig this hole,” Devon said. “Neither did I. But now I have to deal with the consequences,” Lily replied. She didn’t believe he really wanted Chancellor in Billy’s hands, and said again that he just didn’t want Cane to have it. Devon told her he was sorry that she felt that way, and left.

Lily said they knew exactly how much John loaned to Chancellor. She said she had an idea and called Jack, asking him to meet her first thing in the morning as she had a proposition for him.

Billy Shares His Big News

Sally and Billy
Sally and Billy | The Young and the Restless | CBS

At the GCAC, Sally saw Billy and Audra clink glasses and said it was a sight she didn’t think she’d ever see. Sally said Coco’s test results came back early, and everything was fine, so she came home early. She couldn’t wait to hear what Audra and Billy were celebrating.

Audra left so that Billy and Sally could talk. “It’s big. And it’s good. In fact, it’s great news, and you’ll never believe how I got it,” he said.

Billy and Sally sat down, and he told her everything about Chancellor, the loan from John Abbott, and how Jill knew everything and didn’t say a word.

Billy wanted to go home to talk about it, but Sally had questions, including how Lily and Cane felt. He told her that Lily had Winters and Cane was a backstabber, noting that he’d already gone to his family to try to rally against him.

Sally saw a really long, ugly fight regardless of the facts. Billy promised they’d win and that it would be worth it. Sally wondered if it was just Billy’s same obsession continuing, but he said it was not. He felt like it was karma and it was real, and he wanted to share it with her.

Sally told him that it was funny that it took something like this to bring him and Audra together for a drink. “That, and our love for you,” Billy told her. He said that he couldn’t wait for her to get home so the one person he knew would be on his side would be there. Billy wasn’t surprised that Jack didn’t have his back but said it didn’t matter. “I have the truth on my side. That’s all I need,” Billy added.

Adam Wants To Break Billy’s News

Chelsea and Adam
Chelsea and Adam | The Young and the Restless | CBS

At Crimson Lights, Chelsea met with Adam and told him she squashed a story about Nick. Billy told her he had a story to run — about Billy. Chelsea immediately said no, but Adam told her what he knew: Chancellor was actually owned by the Abbotts.

Chelsea agreed it was huge news but thought Billy would tell Spectra-Charles. Adam wanted to scoop it before they could. Chelsea wondered how the Abbotts were handling it, or how Lily and Cane would fight it. “This is going to get messy real fast.”

Adam wanted Chelsea to talk to Billy about it; he promised that if it turned out Billy won Chancellor, he wouldn’t put a negative spin on it or turn it into another hit piece against Billy’s accomplishments.
