Sienna was driving down the desert road in Nevada and noted she had only six miles to go to the gas station. Suddenly, she slammed on the brakes and looked in the rearview mirror.

Lauren Pledges Allegiance

At Summers Conglomerate, Lauren tried to convince Phyllis to take Michael’s advice, but also told her that she wasn’t bailing on her. Phylis warned that if Victoria got the company back, Victor would make Luaren part of his smear campaign. “We’d better not lose,” Lauren told her.

Phyllis insisted that she would win, adding that she couldn’t go to prison for the rest of her life. Lauren warned that she sounded desperate, which was a sign that Phyllis usually made things from bad to worse.

Just then, Daniel came in, and Phyllis showed him the “proof” that Victor had made against her. She asked him to go to his dad and distract Christine long enough for her to figure out what to do.

Daniel wasn’t interested in anything but a lecture. Phyllis asked him to stop with the I-told-you-sos and knew he was angry.

Lauren Sets Daniel Straight

Lauren interrupted to tell Daniel that it was a serious situation, and Phyllis could go to prison. “Maybe that’s what you deserve,” Daniel barked. He said maybe that’s the only way she’d realize the chaos she’d caused everyone.

Daniel ranted about all the people who couldn’t stand Phyllis and questioned why Lauren was on her side. He thought that Lauren of all people would have talked to her about justice.

“You know something, Daniel, your mother has just done what men like Victor do on a regular basis, except men get called titans of industry or corporate raiders — and your mother gets called a criminal. Men get the covers of magazines, and your mother gets threatened with a mug shot,” Lauren told him.

“So you tell me: where is the justice in that?” Lauren asked Daniel. Phyllis thanked Lauren for her support and walked out.

Once alone, Daniel admitted that after everything his mom had been through, he didn’t think she’d survive in prison, and the thought of it scared the hell out of him.

Adam Tells Sharon About Nick’s Addiction

At the deserted gas station, Sharon and Noah were mortified when Nick mumbled that the pills were stronger and wondered what he had taken as Adam tried to revive him.

Nick struggled to breathe as Noah and Sharon insisted that Adam take him to a hospital. Adam refused to leave Sharon and Noah behind and broke off their handcuffs so they could all beg Nick to breathe.

Adam explained that Nick had fentanyl in front of him, and that Matt told him he’d OD’d in Vegas. He said that the agreement was that when they got back home, he’d get help.

Nick mumbled that he needed more time before he could be moved. Sharon told Noah to find a phone line that worked and call an ambulance, but he couldn’t find one.

Noah and Adam struggled to get Nick to his feet to help him out of the gas station, but he couldn’t stay conscious and kept collapsing.

Matt Shares His Plans

Meanwhile, Matt Clark pulled his car over while watching what was happening through the app on his phone. “Poor little rich boy got the bad batch. What a shame,” he said with a shrug.

Matt called Riza, who was still in the hotel room with Chelsea. He told her she lied to him, but he didn’t care, as all the Newmans were in one place, like he wanted, and there was about to be a big fireball in the desert sky as he planned to get rid of all traces of his business at the gas station. “And the Newmans have a front row seat,” he added.

When Matt hung up, Riza told Chelsea what he said, and they deduced from his riddles that he had Adam, Nick, Noah, and Sharon trapped inside and that he was planning to burn the place down.

Chelsea freaked out, of course, and Riza tried calling Matt back, but she was already blocked. Chelsea said she’d call the one person who could make miracles happen and has the resources to do it.

Michael Tried To Represent Phyllis

Michael Baldwin | The Young and the Restless | CBS

At the ranch, Michael told Victor and Victoria that Phyllis wasn’t going to go down without a fight and called their bluff. Victor yelled that she had stolen the company and that there would be no negotiations, as Victoria taunted that they would give their fake proof to Christine, the D.A., in the morning.

Michael finally got Victor to sit down and listen to him. Michael suggested that it would only take Christine a little digging to find out that someone else had used the AI app to do illegal things, and that person would be in the same legal bind as Phyllis.

Victor scoffed that Phyllis humiliated him, and he’d like to see her behind bars. Michael suggested that he convince Phyllis to sell him the company back to save face.

Victor wondered about Michael’s allegiance to Phyllis, but Michael said that most people questioned his allegiance to Victor.

Later, Victor showed Michael the door and told him that there was only one outcome he’d agree to and that he needed to tell Phyllis.

After Michael left, Victor got a call from Chelsea. “Matt has Adam, Nick, Noah, and Sharon in an abandoned gas station in the desert. He’s threatening to blow it up with them inside. There’s so little time… you’re the only person I knew to call,” she cried. Victor told Chelsea to send him the coordinates right away.

Sienna Tries To Stop Matt

Matt watched Nick struggle and muttered that he was keeping his promise of destroying him when, suddenly, the passenger side door opened, and Sienna hopped in.

Matt told her if she knew what was good for her, she’d leave, but Sienna said they could both attest to the fact that she made poor choices. Sienna told him that she and Riza were practically BFFs, and she had the address of where the Newmans were. She refused to leave, telling Matt she hoped to convince him not to carry out his plan.

Matt told Sienna that she had left him already and to get out. Sienna begged him not to do whatever he had planned and let the Newmans walk away. She offered herself in return.

Sienna pleaded with Matt, reminding him of who they used to be and how they could get it back.

Matt heard Sienna’s pitch as she added that Victor transferred all of their assets except the club back into her name. She said Noah was a mistake and they could leave town and start over together.

“And all I have to do is let the Newmans go?” Matt asked. When Sienna confirmed, he took his phone and hit a button. The outside security cameras showed the gas station being blown to smithereens.
