At the Chancellor Park Cafe, Cane saw Holden looking deep in thought and asked what was going on. He noted that Holden gave a vague answer similar to Lily’s. To Cane’s surprise, Holden told him that it was pretty clear that Lily didn’t want Cane in his life anymore and suggested he just move on.

Cane wondered why Holden felt he could speak on Lily’s behalf and asked if he had an issue with him. Cane was suspicious of the way Holden was speaking, especially when he told him she was going through some stuff with her dad.

Holden said Malcolm had some stuff going on, but it wasn’t Cane’s business. “How do you know he’s Lily’s biological father?” Cane asked. Holden said he just wanted to drink his coffee in peace.

Cane offered to be a friend to Holden and to listen if he needed to, since he seemed to be going through something. Holden told him he had a best friend, Damian, but he died because of Cane’s games, and he wanted to hire him to come between Claire and her grandfather. Holden concluded that he didn’t think Cane was someone he would turn to.
“Well, when you put it like that, I can’t say I blame you,” Cane told him as he took a seat. He still wanted to know what was up with Lily, thought, and asked if he was in trouble.

Holden ended up telling Cane how he and Lily were half-siblings, and that they all just recently found out. Before Cane could react too much, Audra came by. Holden told Audra to keep walking, but instead, Cane left, and she took his seat.

“I know all about how Lily Winters is your sister,” Audra said. She told Holden that she was hurt that he shut her out when he found out, and rather than telling her, he went to Claire.

Traci Sets Diane Straight

Traci and Kyle were happily surprised when Diane showed up with her suitcase, but she explained it was empty. She knew Jack was at a meeting and wanted to get more of her things.

Traci tried to convince Diane to wait for Jack to get home so they could talk. Diane told Traci how hurt she was and how she couldn’t handle that Jack was in bed with that nasty woman. Traci warned Diane that she was going to say some things.

Traci told Diane straight up that Jack made a mistake, but Diane had made plenty of her own, including faking her death for years — something she most definitely did intentionally. Traci told Diane to show Jack a little grace as he did for her.

Traci left, and Diane admitted to Kyle that she was right. That said, she couldn’t bring herself to talk to Jack or think about working it out. Diane cried that he was still in bed with Patty when they walked in on them.

Diane said she’d do anything to get back to the place where they were, but didn’t know what it would take to even consider forgiveness. Kyle suggested she start by being open to it.

Victoria Wants Sympathy For Victor

Kyle talks to Victoria about his father
Victoria and Kyle | The Young and the Restless | CBS

At Society, Nikki couldn’t believe that Victoria sounded like she was defending Victor. Victoria said that there was no proof that Victor had Jack drugged, and blamed whatever happened on the boat on Jack.

Nikki said she would not stand by while Victor treated one of her dearest friends so poorly. Victoria took up for her father again, saying that after what Phyllis did to him, he was furious. Nikki pointed out that Jack was innocent in that, and Victor had no right to go after him, nor did it give him license to throw her out of her house for standing up for what was right.

Kyle came in, and Victoria watched curiously as Nikki asked him how Jack was doing. Nikki left and Kyle noted to Victoria that her parents were still split up. He advised Victoria that there would be no change until she and others called out Victor for his behavior.

Victoria told Kyle to show empathy for Victor rather than condemning him. “No, thank you,” Kyle said. Victoria reminded Kyle that Victor built an empire from the ground up, and now it’s all been taken away from him. “Yeah, I’ve heard it a million times; it’s nothing more than an excuse for his bullying,” Kyle sighed.

Victoria said that Kyle and Jack were born into everything they had, and maybe he’d understand Victor’s feelings better if he lost everything.

Stephanie Supports Lily

Cane arrives at the table with Lily and Stephanie talking at the GCAC

At the GCAC, Lily met with Stephanie to discuss Malcolm’s situation. She really wished she could’ve been a match, noting how much of a support he was for her during her cancer.

Stephanie shared that she was around when Lily was born and that she felt very close to her family. She was determined to save Malcolm.

Stephanie forewarned that they needed to be prepared in case the twins weren’t an option. She said the donor list was an option, but they would pursue everything they could.

Lily told Stephanie that she wasn’t going to hold anything against Holden, but wouldn’t be letting him into the family right away either. Stephanie said he had a good heart and encouraged her to give him a chance to show that.

Cane Reaches Out

Lily lamented that Holden worked for Cane, so Stephanie asked what the big deal was about her ex. Just then, Cane walked in.

Cane introduced himself to Stephanie, noting that he knew she was Holden’s mother. He told them both that he’d just seen Holden and knew what was going on.

Stephanie made a quick exit, seemingly so they could talk. But Lily didn’t want to be alone with Cane and tried to leave as well. Cane quietly asked her not to walk away and said he was worried about her.

Lily noted that Cane said he didn’t want anything to do with her. He admitted she put him through hell pretending to be kidnapped, but when he thought about it, he realized that he had put her through hell for years.

Cane could tell that Lily was trying to handle what was going on herself and said it didn’t need to be that way. “I’m here,” Cane said softly. He offered to be there for whatever she needed.

Lily snapped that she didn’t trust Cane, Charlie called, and she left to take the call privately. Cane was astounded that he was being shut out.

Stephanie Remains Optimistic

Stephanie got to the Chancellor Park Cafe to see Holden, but found him with Audra. “You and Aubrey spend a lot of time together for two people who don’t like each other. What’s up with that?” she asked after Audra left.

Holden said Audra was irrelevant and asked about Malcolm. Stephanie said they were still waiting to hear if one of Lily’s kids was a match.

Holden told his mom that it would take some time to process everything, but said he still loved her even though she’d kept something so important from him.

Stephanie was hopeful that everything would work out for Malcolm and that Holden would have a relationship with Lily.

Nikki Tries To Help Diane

Diane slams the front door in Nikkis face
Diane and Nikki | The Young and the Restless | CBS

Diane was alone when the doorbell rang. She opened the door to find Nikki and wasn’t impressed. Nikki was hopeful that Diane had returned, but she assured her she wasn’t staying.

Nikki reached out to offer to help, pleading Jack’s case for him and reminding Diane that he was drugged. Diane snapped that the last thing she needed was Nikki’s help.

When Nikki persisted, Diane pointed out that they were only in this mess because of Jack and Nikki’s need to fight each other’s battles. She told Nikki to focus on her own miserable marriage and slammed the door in her face.
