Why The Bold and the Beautiful Needs Darin Brooks Back as Wyatt Spencer
There’s a clear opening for fan favorite Darin Brooks to return as Wyatt Spencer on The Bold and the Beautiful, and the show’s current status makes the case on its own. With the balance of power shifting between Forrester Creations and Spencer Publications, Wyatt’s absence is more noticeable than ever.
Why Wyatt Spencer Should Be Back on The Bold and the Beautiful

The shift began when Katie Logan (Heather Tom) left Forrester Creations and launched her own fashion house, a decision that set off a chain reaction. Tensions escalated quickly, and the Forresters — along with Katie’s sister Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) — dug in against the Spencers. What had long been a romantic rivalry between Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Bill (Don Diamont) is now a clear divide between the families.
Forrester Creations currently has both numbers and influence. Ridge, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), Eric (John McCook), Zende (Delon de Metz), RJ (Brayan Nicoletti), and Electra (Laneya Grace) are all in roles at the company, with Brooke holding onto her maiden name but functioning as a Forrester in every other way. Additionally, Ivy Forrester (Ashleigh Brewer) has taken a leave of absence, and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) is designing remotely from the company’s Paris location.
Spencer Publications Needs Reinforcements
By comparison, Spencer Publications feels underrepresented. Bill Spencer remains at the center, with Liam (Scott Clifton) working alongside him and Katie back under the Spencer umbrella with her new fashion house, Logan.
Their son, Will Spencer (Crew Morrow), joined Forrester Creations as an intern when Katie was head of HR and has since worked his way up to what Ridge calls a “valuable asset.” While Bill and Katie would prefer he join the family business, Will appears committed to staying where he is.
If Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) were to leave Forrester and join her other family company, Logan, the Spencer side would still be smaller and less balanced than the Forrester lineup, but it would help.
Adding Wyatt would address that imbalance in a way that feels organic to the story. He has an established place within both the company and the family, and his return would immediately strengthen the Spencer presence without requiring setup.
Wyatt’s Role Goes Beyond Numbers

Wyatt has always served a specific function within the Spencer dynamic. His scenes with Bill and Liam brought a lighter, more conversational tone that balanced heavier material without undercutting it.
The Spencer son also brings a professional angle that Logan could use. Wyatt worked as an executive at Spencer, but he also has a design background. When he first arrived with his mother, Quinn Fuller, they designed jewelry together at Quinn Artisans, which was later absorbed into Forrester Creations. Revisiting that history would give the Spencers a creative lane of their own — particularly in jewelry — and position them as direct competition.
Built-In Story Through Relationships
Wyatt’s history with Hope, Ivy, Katie, and Steffy also creates immediate story opportunities without introducing new characters. Those connections can be revisited in ways that complicate existing relationships, especially as loyalties continue to shift between the two families.
A Return That Fits the Current Story
If the show is building toward a sustained Spencer vs Forrester conflict, the sides need to feel more evenly matched. Right now, they don’t. Bringing Wyatt back would help correct that imbalance while restoring a character who already fits into both the family structure and the business stakes.
And let’s be honest. Who hasn’t already pictured Darin Brooks in Bill’s doorway, watching the drama unfold, then dropping a witty line on his way back in?
