Who Is Stalking Trina on General Hospital

Trina Robinson has spent most of her time on General Hospital dealing with her family, her relationship with Kai, and her new music career, but someone else has been paying very close attention to her. The reveal of a board covered with photographs of Trina immediately turned her latest storyline into a mystery, and the obvious suspects may not be the people behind it.

Simon, the record producer working with Trina and Gio, and Quinn, Kai’s former friend, were positioned suspiciously close to the first reveal. That makes either one a possibility, but it also makes them awfully convenient suspects. Could General Hospital be setting them up as red herrings while the real answer comes from Trina’s past?

Is Simon the Stalker?

Simon (Grady Eldridge) has a pretty obvious reason to be interested in Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali). He sees her as the stronger half of the new musical act and initially wanted to sign Trina and Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) to separate deals rather than keep them together. After Gio insisted they sign only as a team, Simon agreed, but he made it clear he was watching Trina.

That comment takes on a different meaning after the stalker reveal. Simon has access to Trina through her career, knows where she will be for professional obligations, and has a legitimate reason to follow her activities. He could also have an unhealthy interest in controlling her career, particularly if he believes she would be more successful without Gio.

Still, Simon almost feels too obvious. The show introduced his questionable behavior at essentially the same time it showed the audience the photographs of Trina. That could mean the writers are telling us exactly what is happening, but it could just as easily be a classic soap misdirection.

Quinn Has More Personal Motive

Quinn (Jequan Jackson) may have an even stronger motive than Simon because his history with Trina is personal. He previously blamed her for distracting Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) from football, particularly after Kai’s injury ended his career. When Quinn returned and suddenly apologized to both Kai and Trina, it initially appeared that he wanted to repair the friendship.

Then he sat back and watched Trina and Kai together. That was an important visual, especially because it was followed by the reveal of the photographs — and viewers didn’t miss Quinn’s jealous expression as he stared.

Quinn therefore has motive, opportunity, and a reason to resent Trina. The problem is that he is almost too suspicious. If General Hospital wants this mystery to last, Quinn could be the person the audience is supposed to suspect while the actual stalker remains hidden.

Could Spencer Cassadine Be Alive?

This is where the storyline could become much more interesting than a somewhat predictable stalker mystery. Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) and Trina were one of the defining young couples on General Hospital, and Spencer repeatedly made it clear how deeply he loved her. Their relationship ended only because of his presumed death.

Officially, Spencer died in the River Seine in January 2024 after dragging himself and Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) into the river to save Trina from Esme’s attack. The character was presumed dead, but if GH fans know anything — especially since Spencer died — ”definitely dead” means nothing anymore, so “presumed dead” needs a new name.

If Spencer survived, the stalker story could provide a way to bring him back without immediately revealing him. The photographs don’t necessarily have to represent someone who wants to hurt Trina. What if Spencer has been watching her from a distance? Perhaps he believes he cannot safely return to Port Charles, but he wants to know that Trina is all right.

The person watching Trina might not be Spencer at all, but someone connected to him. That would let the show bring Spencer back later while keeping the current stalker a mystery.

What About Esme?

Esme is an even darker possibility because she already has a long history with Trina and Spencer. Esme repeatedly targeted Trina because of her feelings for Spencer. Her obsession ultimately culminated in Paris, where Spencer died trying to save Trina from her.

Esme was also presumed dead, but unlike Spencer, the door has been left especially open for her return. If Esme survived Paris, Trina moving on with Kai could give her a reason to become obsessed with Trina all over again. She could see Trina’s happiness as proof that Spencer has been forgotten, or she could believe Trina has no right to move on from the man who died protecting her.

That would make Esme a much more compelling culprit than another jealous acquaintance. Who do you think Trina’s stalker is?
