Beyond the Gates Crossover Guide: Meet the Newman, Abbott, and Hamilton Families

CBS’s crossover event between Beyond the Gates and The Young and the Restless brings several of Genoa City’s most prominent families to Fairmont Crest for Martin Richardson’s political fundraiser. While longtime friends Vernon Dupree and Victor Newman provide the central connection between the two worlds, viewers will also see members of the Newman, Abbott, and Hamilton families making the trip from Wisconsin to Maryland.

For Beyond the Gates viewers unfamiliar with Genoa City’s power players, here’s a quick guide to the visitors arriving in Fairmont Crest.

The Newman Family

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)

Victor Newman is the founder of Newman Enterprises and the patriarch of the Newman family. One of the most powerful businessmen in daytime television, Victor has spent decades building his corporate empire while fiercely protecting his family and business interests.

The crossover reveals that Victor and Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) have maintained a longtime friendship, bringing Victor to Fairmont Crest in support of Martin Richardson’s (Brandon Claybon) campaign and will be the keynote speaker at the fundraiser.

Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway)

Abby Newman is one of Victor’s daughters and a successful businesswoman in her own right. Over the years, she has managed several ventures in Genoa City and has become a key member of the Newman family business circle.

Abby arrives in Fairmont Crest alongside her husband, Devon Hamilton, after receiving an invitation from Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie).

The Abbott Family

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman)

Jack Abbott is the patriarch of the Abbott family and the longtime CEO of Jabot Cosmetics, one of Genoa City’s most successful companies. For decades, Jack has been one of Victor Newman’s chief business rivals while remaining one of the city’s most respected corporate leaders.

Martin Richardson was very pleased to know that his friend Kyle had invited Jack to attend the fundraiser in Fairmont Crest, as they would be financially secure participants.

Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters)

Diane Jenkins Abbott is Jack’s wife and a longtime Genoa City resident. She currently works alongside the Abbott family at Jabot and accompanies Jack to Fairmont Crest for the event.

Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor)

Kyle Abbott is Jack and Diane’s son and represents the next generation of the Abbott family. He also works within the family business and has his own connection to Fairmont Crest.

Kyle and Martin Richardson know each other from their college days, giving Kyle a personal reason to attend the fundraiser. He invited his parents to join him on the trip.

The Hamilton Family

Devon Hamilton (Bryton James)

Devon Hamilton is a billionaire businessman and one of Genoa City’s most successful entrepreneurs. He built much of his fortune through Hamilton-Winters and is married to Abby Newman, linking him to the powerful Newman family.

Beyond the Gates viewers may already recognize Devon from the first crossover event in August 2025. During that appearance, Devon traveled to Fairmont Crest to meet with Anita regarding a music industry opportunity and discuss a potential record deal.

As Bryton James recently told The Soap Scene, Devon’s established relationship with Anita helps explain why he is returning to Fairmont Crest. That history makes Devon the only member of the visiting Genoa City contingent with a previous on-screen connection to Beyond the Gates.

Why Are They in Fairmont Crest?

The crossover centers on Martin Richardson’s political fundraiser. Victor arrives to support his friend Vernon Dupree, while Martin’s personal and professional connections bring the Abbott family to town. Meanwhile, Anita recruits Devon and Abby for a possible business venture.

What begins as a high-profile social and political event ultimately brings together some of the most influential families from both Genoa City and Fairmont Crest.
