The Young and the Restless Recap

Victoria came to Crimson Lights and saw Nate. She didn’t think she’d be good company, but he wanted to be there for her. “It’s gone, Nate,” she said. Nate realized the rumors were true and her family really had lost everything.
Victoria vented her frustrations about Cane, Phyllis, and how Victor had a plan but wouldn’t share it with her. She staunchly said if he wouldn’t let her in to help, then she’d come up with a plan of her own.
At the Abbott mansion, Abby was getting frantic because she and Devon couldn’t find Dominic anywhere on the grounds. Devon tried to calm her by hoping that he was somewhere hiding to trick them. They called out to him in firm voices to let him know that they weren’t playing.

When they still couldn’t find him, Devon wondered if Dom fell asleep somewhere. Abby was sure something was wrong, so Devon relented to call the police.
Abby saw the scarf on the back of the chair that Devon had found on the porch. She said she never saw Louise wearing it before. “Call her!” Abby shrieked. Devon called the nanny to see if it belonged to her or someone else.
When it was confirmed that the scarf didn’t belong to Louise, Abby lost it. She realized that someone had been watching them. “Dom was kidnapped!” she sobbed on Devon’s shoulder.
Devon called the police and comforted Abby while they waited for them to get there. He promised her they would find Dominic.
Abby couldn’t stop crying when the policewoman was taking notes. She told Devon she was praying to Chance to keep their son safe. Devon promised her everything would be okay.

Mariah got to the motel room, with his favorite cookies from Crimson Lights, and tried to sound enthusiastic about their adventure. While he was washing his hands in the bathroom, Mariah had a flashback to when he was born.
As she questioned kidnapping Dominic, Ian came and congratulated her on it. Ian advised Mariah how important it was that she was there for Dominic, and to convince him that his parents deserted him but she was his mother now.
When Dominic came out of the bathroom, he asked when his mom would pick him up. Mariah said Abby called and was running late, but they could play hide and seek while they waited.

Mariah explained that their version of hide and seek included going somewhere. She said the next place was extra special, but he could’t guess where it was.
Dominic hid in the room and Mariah playfully found him, and the two were giggling and having a fun time together. Dom hugged Mariah, and told her how much he loved it.
Sally met Audra at Society and brought her up to date on everything. Audra wasn’t happy about her friend’s relationship being in turmoil, or the news about Jill, but she delighted in the fact that Newman crumbled.
Sally told Audra that she would take the fallout from Jill later, but she wanted Audra to work with her. She offered her the job and promised to have her back if she could keep the position.
Audra accepted, but as she was telling Sally how much it meant to her after all she’d lost, Nate and Victoria walked in together. Audra started to rant about how Nate dumped her and immediately went to Victoria. Sally said, “Audra, I love you, but saying Nate dumped you is a bit of a stretch.”
Audra admitted that it wasn’t how it happened. Sally offered to go somewhere else, as Victoria was doing the same with Nate. Not wanting her to feel uncomfortable, Nate walked Victoria over to Sally and Audra’s table. “Hello, ladies,” he said.
Sally addressed Victoria, asking how she was doing, noting that she’d heard Cane and Phyllis had already taken control of Newman. Victoria asked if she was on the record and fishing for a story.
Sally denied asking for Abbott Communications. “You should ask your partner, Billy, because he already told me yesterday that he intends to put a negative spin on everything,” Victoria said haughtily.

Sally asked whether Victoria had spoken to Billy today, since he was no longer her partner. It was Victoria’s turn to ask questions. She guessed that Cane offered Chancellor to Billy, and he accepted.
When Victoria mused that he wouldn’t get far since her family was going to push back hard, Sally told her to get on it because things weren’t looking too good for the Newmans.
Victoria clapped back, spilling the beans about the stuff Sally tearfully confided in her during the holidays, and asked what that meant for her and Billy now. Sally said that she and Billy were trying to work things out.
“Well…I hope you have better luck than I did,” Victoria scoffed. “Ok…” Sally said with a glance at Audra. She told Victoria that in the meantime, she promised not to put a negative spin on anything through her media company, and hoped Victoria could appreciate the gesture.
“I’m not sure ‘appreciate’ is the word that I’d use, but I am very interested to see if you can pull that off,” Victoria swiped. She told Nate she wanted to go find a table.
Audra pulled Nate back to tell him that she and Amy talked, and she really missed her. Nate said that Amy mentioned it and walked away.
Once alone, Sally and Audra asked each other if they were okay after that exchange. Sally thought Victoria was upset at being collateral damage. Audra thought she seemed like she was ready to burn down Cane and Phyllis’ houses.

At their table, Nate was surprised about Billy taking Chancellor. Victoria told him it was no big deal as it had been Billy’s dream forever, but he wasn’t getting. “We’re getting it back. We’re getting everything back,” she said.
Victoria thought she and Billy would try to keep their kids out of it, but swore she wouldn’t rest until she got her mom’s company back.
