The Young and the Restless Recap Dec 23: Phyllis partnered with Cane, Matt called Noah
In The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, December 23, 2025, Tracy counseled Lily, Noah called his parents for help, Matt called Noah, and Phyllis laid it all on the line with Cane.
The Young and the Restless Recap

At Society, Lily met with Tracy and talked about her kids. They discussed how they missed Colleen and how much of a great influence she would be for Mattie. Lily shared her mixed feelings for Cane with Tracy, who lent an empathetic ear.
Tracy told Lily that she and Cane were connected, and it was okay to laugh and have fun, even if it was with a charming jerk who gave her two children. She encouraged Lily to be open to letting herself enjoy life.
Tracy wondered if Lily was considering a reunion because if not, it wasn’t a bad thing to get along with Cane. Lily said she was just surprised to like even being around Cane after everything. Tracy warned that forgiveness and love can come too late, and there was no time to waste in life.
Tracy hoped that Lily would constantly debate herself about Cane. She asked Lily to take Cane for who he was today — a man who had made mistakes and had regrets and learned from them.
Tracy and Diane Bond
At the Abbott mansion, Diane texted Michael, reminding him that they needed his help with Victor. Tracy came home, and they talked about Victor’s pending attack. Diane admitted she would stick it to Victor legally or illegally if she could. Tracy told Diane she was the fighter the family needed.
Tracy told Diane that it was important for them to embrace the season and to hold close and fight for the things that mattered most. She embraced her sister-in-law and wished her a happy Christmas.
Noah Wakes Up
At Sharon’s, Nick called Noah and left a message telling him to keep a low profile and call him. He said that they found Matt Clark on security footage and knew he was in town. When Nick hung up, he told Sharon that Noah wasn’t afraid of Matt. Sharon said he should be, and that she wanted him home — now. Sharon tried calling Noah as well and left him a similar message.
In the park, Noah woke up with a sore head, lying on the cold ground. He called out for Sienna, but she didn’t answer as he stumbled away. Noah called his dad once he got to Crimson Lights and asked if Sienna was with them, as he didn’t know where she was.
Noah told them what happened, and Sharon lectured him for doing the opposite of what he was told. Nick and Sharon wondered if Matt took Sienna or if it was Sienna who knocked out Noah. He told them there is no way she did that, and it had to be Matt. Nick agreed, saying Matt would have a bigger plan. Noah wanted to find Sienna before Matt killed her, and Nick said to wait there for them.
Matt Clark vs The Newmans
Nick and Sharon arrived at the coffee shop and found Noah desperate to find Sienna as soon as possible. Nick and Sharon said that Matt had no resources to get out of town with Sienna easily. Nick wondered if Sienna left with Matt willingly.
As they argued about Sienna’s loyalties and stalled in finding her, Matt called Noah. Nick wanted to answer, but Noah did before he could take his phone. Matt riddled Noah with questions about his affair with Sienna and wouldn’t answer Noah’s.
Noah took the blame for the affair, telling Matt to let him swap Sienna with him. Noah said that he and Matt could then handle things between just the two of them, but Sharon grabbed the phone and hollered into it. “Leave my family alone, you hear me?” she yelled.
Nick and Sharon tried to talk to Noah about Matt and how to force his hand. Nick took Noah’s phone and called Matt. He told him that Burrow was in town and working with the GCPD.
“Did you just call me back to act like the tough guy?” Matt snarked. Nick told him he wanted to make a deal.
Arabesque, Open for Business and Pleasure
At Cane’s office, he left a message for his kids, offering to fly them to Genoa City to spend Christmas with their mom. When he hung up, Phyllis walked in.
Phyllis told Cane that she’d been thinking about the way he’d kissed her out of nowhere. She said they were the same, and saw life the same way. “Too much is never enough for us,” Phyllis told him. “You know, some people might see that level of entitlement as narcissism,” Cane replied. “Well, I think some people are stupid,” Phyllis retorted.
Phyllis didn’t care about labels, but wanted to be friends. Cane told her that they were done with one another, but suddenly she wants to be pals. Phyllis gave him a gift; it was a puzzle that he could take apart and put back together again.
Phyllis told him that she regretted walking away from him. She said they made a good team, and there was no one else in town as passionate as she was. She said she’d come to him with humility, her hat in her hand, and desperation. “I think the two of us together are the answer,” she added.
Cane pointed out that Phyllis didn’t think that a week prior. Phyllis agreed, chalking it up to him going soft for Lily when they both should have been at the top of their game. “I need you. And I think you need me, too,” Phyllis told him.
Don’t Call Me Aristotle
Cane wondered why two people who didn’t trust one another should be together. He said he didn’t know what he had left that could possibly be of use to her, or how he could forgive her for stealing the app. Phyllis noted she didn’t ruin Arabesque.
Phyllis offered to help Cane get payback, money, and power. “We need to get our priorities straight,” Phyllis told him. She said it was boring to hate one another, and teaming up was more fun. Cane asked what her plan was. “Is that your version of yes?” Phyllis asked hopefully.
Cane wondered what “together” meant. “Equal partners?” he asked. “Yes…equal! Except the days that you want to be on top,” Phyllis flirted. Phyllis told Cane that her plan was to steal back the AI app, then they’d take over Newman Enterprises. Cane laughed at how simple she made things sound.
Cane said that she didn’t need his help to steal the software and asked if he was the fall guy in her plan. Phyllis assured Cane she wanted him around. She told him to let Aristotle come out to play and leaned over him in his chair. “Do you want to take over the world…with me?” she asked as her lips brushed against his. As they began kissing, Lily walked up to the doorway and saw.
