The Bold and the Beautiful Recap Jan 21: Dylan gets close to Will, Hope wants Deacon to tell Taylor how he feels

In the Bold and the Beautiful recap for Wednesday, January 21, 2026, Dylan takes Electra’s place, Ivy scolds Electra, Hope implores her dad to go for Taylor, and Deacon and Taylor fantasize about each other.

At Taylor’s office, Steffy continued to argue with her mom about staying away from Deacon. She wondered if he’d fallen in love with Taylor. Later, alone, Taylor was deep in thought about their conversation as she tried to write her patient report.

At Deacon’s, Hope kept trying to convince her dad to explore his feelings for Taylor, but he told her he couldn’t endanger Taylor. Hope said that was a sign of how much he liked her.

Hope cried that Deacon’s heart was being held hostage by Sheila. Deacon asked if she really wanted him to leave his wife, knowing how she’d react.

Hope said Deacon separated from Sheila not that long ago, and does not live with a divided heart. She suggested he tell Sheila he wanted his freedom. Deacon asked for some time.

Hope agreed and was going to leave, but pleaded with her dad to go to Taylor and talk about his concerns, but to be sure to tell her how he really felt.

Downstairs, Sheila tried to befriend Deke again, but he wasn’t interested. She told him how great her marriage to his dad was, but he snarked that was what she thought.

Sheila went on about Taylor to Deke. She said that it wasn’t lost on her how incredible she was, and Deke said Deacon was aware as well.

Electra and Ivy worked as she gushed to her aunt about how wonderful her boyfriend was and that Dylan was such a great friend that they were happy to help her.

Ivy thought it was nice of them, but also thought that it was strange for Dylan to be living with Will. Ivy chided Electra for spending so much time with Will, away from the Forrester mansion. 

Later, Steffy tracked down Electra and told her that she planned to hire Dylan as a receptionist, but not to tell her quite yet, as other employees also wanted the position.

Electra shared with Steffy that she wanted to have another sleepover at her boyfriend’s house but wanted to make a good impression at the Forrester mansion, as well.

At the beach house, Will invited Dylan for dinner since Electra couldn’t make it. She said it was awkward without Electra there, but was also doing Electra and Will’s laundry without their knowledge.

As they had dinner, Will talked to Dylan about how he felt about his mom starting her own company, and him still at Forrester. They had some laughs and enjoyed the meal together.

At the end of dinner, Dylan and Will locked eyes a few times as she thanked him for saving her. Will said he’d do the dishes then hang out on the couch, and Dylan went to do more laundry then go to bed.

Later, Dylan returned but the lights were dim, and the dishes weren’t done. Will was asleep on the couch and she smiled as she watched him snore.

Deacon and Taylor fantasized about him going to Taylor’s office and telling each other how much they cared before kissing passionately. Deacon snapped out of it, then picked up his phone.
