The Bold and the Beautiful Recap Jan 20: Will and RJ connected, Steffy Made Demands on Taylor

In the Bold and the Beautiful recap for Tuesday, January 20, 2026, Will and RJ caught up, Electra rejected Will, Hope encouraged Deacon to go for Taylor, while Steffy demanded Taylor stop seeing Deacon.

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap

At her office, Taylor was dictating into her recorder an update on Deacon’s file. Steffy burst in and asked if she overheard correctly that Deacon was still her patient. “You can’t be with him. You know that, right?” Steffy snapped.

Taylor assured Steffy that she was only working with Deacon professionally. Taylor reminded Steffy that Deacon was committed to his marriage, although she understood Steffy’s concerns about Sheila.

Regardless, Steffy reminded Taylor of what Sheila was capable of and how she could react if she felt like she was going to lose her husband. 

Taylor said that Deacon made her feel things that Ridge broke, and in that regard, being around him was a good thing, but Steffy was firm that it was wrong and she needed to stay away.

Taylor thought she still had work to do with Deacon, but Steffy drew a line in the sand. She said that she had to make a stand with Finn, and now she was doing the same with Taylor. Steffy insisted that Taylor break off communication with Deacon.

In the salon, Will heard enough of RJ and Electra’s conversation about him. He walked in and said, “RJ Forrester…so it’s true: the Golden Boy is back.” RJ told Will he just got back from Brazil, and was enjoying his “Forrester welcome” from Electra.

Will said he thought they were cousins, but RJ confirmed they weren’t related by blood. RJ over-complimented Electra to Will, then stared uncomfortably while they canoodled.  

Will told RJ that he was part of the Forrester Creations team now, and they’d probably be working together. He suggested they don’t act like their dads.

Will gave Electra a long, good-bye kiss and said he was going home to start their dinner. After Will left, Ivy called Electra and told her she had to work late, so she sadly told RJ she needed to cancel her plans with Will.

At home, Sheila tried being flirty with Deacon, but he was standoffish. She asked what was going on with Taylor and if he was still seeing her. Deacon confirmed he was, so Sheila was happy as she thought Taylor was good for their marriage.

Sheila left, but Hope arrived and asked her dad what exactly was going on between him and Taylor. Deacon was evasive, so Hope told him that she had spoken to Deke.

Deacon admitted it was complicated. Hope told him that Steffy talked to him as well, and knew it was a delicate situation. That said, Hope encouraged her dad to follow his heart.

Hope told Deacon she just wanted him to be happy, and if that meant being with Taylor, then she’d support it.

Deacon admitted that he saw himself differently because of Taylor and that he had developed feelings for her. “But I can’t go there, it’s too dangerous. And I’m not talking about for me, I’m talking about for Taylor,” Deacon said.

At Il Giardino, Sheila was happy to see Li come in, so she could update her about her marriage. Sheila said she wished that Hope and Deke were more supportive of her and Deacon’s relationship, but credited Taylor for being in their corner.

Will came home and saw Dylan on the porch. He told her he was making Electra a special dinner, and she promised to give them their privacy.

Electra called Will and told him that she had to work late. He told her to come over no matter how late it was, but she balked.

Electra told Will that she got the feeling that Ivy disapproved of her sleepovers, and if she did, then Eric probably did as well. She wanted to be respected by her family, and thought she should spend less time with her boyfriend to please them. That said, she also had friends who lost themselves in relationships and didn’t want that to happen.

Will said he understood. When he hung up, Dylan reappeared and asked if everything was okay.
