The Bold and the Beautiful Recap February 18: Eric’s Secret Is Revealed!

TL;DR: In today’s Bold and the Beautiful recap, Eric’s secret design work for Katie is finally exposed after Liam tells Hope, and Katie makes a dramatic announcement to a furious Ridge and stunned Brooke.

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap

At the Spencer mansion, Bill told Katie that she didn’t need to worry about Eric’s health; he’d be fine. He said all he needed to do was put the pencil to the paper and whip out a few doodles — but he needed to do it soon.

Katie still felt something was off and decided to text Donna to check in. When she couldn’t get a response, Katie had a bad feeling and wanted to go over there and check in. Bill said he’d go with her.

Liam Can’t Keep A Secret

Meanwhile, Hope showed up at Spencer to talk to her aunt about her rift with Brooke. She saw Liam first, who was instantly nervous that she was in the building.

When pressed, Liam said there was something going on that they would talk about soon, but couldn’t yet. Hope was distracted by the designs on Katie’s desk and said they were fantastic.

Liam couldn’t take it anymore and admitted he had to tell Hope something, but she couldn’t say anything. Liam told Hope that he didn’t know when she first asked, but he knew now that Katie’s new designer was Eric.

Ridge Makes Eric An Offer

At Eric’s, Ridge was excited when he realized that Eric had designed an entire line. He liked what he saw and suggested that Eric make them part of the couture line at Forrester.

Ridge sensed that Eric’s hesitation was because he was upset about the retirement party they threw for him. Brooke reminded him they were only looking out for Eric by having the party. 

Ridge told his dad that he was the most important person in his life, and he missed him. He praised Eric’s talents, calling them magical and timeless.

Eric was touched by everything his son said, but still faltered. Ridge enthusiastically talked about the right silk he would need and said everything right about production. 

And Then the Hammer Drops

As Eric began to admit that he’d done something, Katie and Bill walked through the front door. Ridge scolded them for just walking in without knocking.

Bill quickly laid into Ridge about forcing his dad to retire. But Brooke and Ridge smugly said he was out of retirement and designing again for their couture line.

Ridge told Katie he would love to show the designs to her, but she tended to take things that didn’t belong to her. He then mocked her about designing and said that she would need someone that brilliant to succeed.

Katie snapped that she couldn’t take it anymore. She told Eric that they would fix it so nothing was stressful anymore and that doing this would probably help relieve some of it. Katie made an intro about how wonderful and talented Eric was and that anyone should be honored to work with him, and on that note, she was more than willing to accept when the opportunity presented itself.

Instantly enraged, Ridge demanded that Eric tell him if what Katie said was true as Brooke stared in disbelief.
