The Bold and the Beautiful Recap Feb 19: Eric’s Vicious Fight with Ridge Ends With An Ambulance

TL;DR: In today’s Bold and the Beautiful recap, a massive fight erupts when Ridge and Brooke discover Eric is designing for Katie and Bill, culminating in Eric’s emotional defense of his worth and a terrifying health emergency that requires an ambulance.

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap Feb 19

At Spencer, Hope was stunned to learn that Eric was Katie’s designer. She knew her mom and Ridge would be furious.

On the other hand, Hope was happy for Eric and thought his designs were amazing. Liam told her that Eric offered to design for Katie, but Hope didn’t think that would matter to Brooke and Ridge.

Hope and Liam discussed Eric’s health and whether or not it was in his best interest to be working at such a high pace.

Ridge and Brooke React

At the Forrester mansion, Ridge didn’t believe at first that Eric would work for Katie’s little start-up or that he’d work for Bill. He said his designs were too good for Katie.

Brooke backed him up, thinking there must be some mistake in what they were saying, but Eric confirmed it was true.

Ridge lost his temper immediately. He yelled at Katie for lying and to Eric for working for Bill. Eric clapped back that he offered to work for Katie.

Ridge didn’t care about that; he thought that Katie should have turned him down. Eric interjected about how Ridge forced him to retire when he wasn’t ready to, and he wanted to design somewhere where he was wanted, and that was at Logan.

The Fight Begins

Ridge and Brooke ranted about Katie lying, but she said they wanted to keep it under wraps until the launch. Nothing she said satisfied, and Ridge lectured about Eric’s health.

Eric got angry and told them all that he was old but not invisible and only he would decide what happened in his life. 

Bill and Katie apologized and agreed. Eric got upset at Ridge and told him that how he treated him was wrong. He said his hands might be a little shaky, but his mind was still sharp, and he built the company that Ridge pushed him out of. 

Ridge was still upset at feeling betrayed that Eric would help Katie and keep it a secret. He was hollering, and Eric was fighting back, telling him how disrespected he felt by what he did. “I can still create art!” Eric snapped.

Bill Calls An Ambulance

Katie said no one did it better than Eric, and he agreed with her support. “And you tried to take it away from me!” Eric told Ridge. Just then, he struggled to breathe.

Ridge yelled at Bill to do something, but he was already calling an ambulance. Ridge was barking out orders for someone to get him some water and told Bill again to call someone.

The ambulance arrived, and everyone put in their two cents of what was going on while Eric was telling the medics what he wanted and how he felt.

Eric snapped and told them all what it was like grow old. He told them that he had value and that they didn’t respect their elders. Eric said growing old was an achievement, and they should be listening to his stories and what he had to say.

Ridge sat with Eric and breathed with him to calm the energy in the room. He apologized to his dad for ever making him feel that way.
