The Bold and the Beautiful Recap Dec 31: Brooke shrugs off the past and Katie takes control of the future
In The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Wednesday, December 31st, 2025, Katie reads Brooke for filth and gets a surprising and motivating reaction. Meanwhile, Dylan moves into the beach house, but Electra has to ask if she can have a sleepover.

Bill went to Forrester Creations to let Ridge know that his wife wasn’t stealing her own name; she could use it legally. Carter fumed while Bill rubbed it in that they got the trademark after their registration lapsed.
Bill said that Brooke got plenty of attention from her first name, but Katie was entitled to use her last name to do the same. Ridge said that Brooke was telling Katie she wouldn’t get away with it as they spoke.
Bill laughed that Katie wouldn’t back down and would be using her own name. Carter threatened to look into it to see if Bill pulled a fast one or called in some favors to make it happen. Carter left to investigate, but Bill said he was wasting his time.
Bill told Ridge that he simply let a registration lapse, but if he wanted to see it as a betrayal, so be it. “I do see it as a betrayal. I also see that Katie is in over her head,” Ridge added. He told Bill that as her husband, he should try to guide her away from that because it was all going to end in heartache.
Ridge ranted that Katie didn’t know how to run a fashion house, and thought it was nice that Bill had faith in her. Ridge said that their wives had history, and not all of it was pleasant. Bill said if anything ugly reared its head, he was sure that Katie would use it as fuel to be successful.
At the beach house, Dylan was grateful to Electra and Will for giving her the guest room above the garage to live in. They offered to help her unload her car. The three sat down to discuss homelessness and how common it was. Dylan explained how scary it was to live out of her car.
Dylan said she wanted to find a way to thank Will and Electra in some tangible way before going to her car to get some of her stuff. Once alone, Will noted that the perk of helping Dylan was that Electra would be spending more nights at the beach house with him. Electra said she would have to ask her aunt Ivy first, but thought it would be okay, even though she was a little more “traditional.”
Electra gushed to Will how sweet and kind he was and how she looked forward to their future together. She gave him a present: the necklace she’d made with the W and E on it. “WE…Will and Electra,” Will smiled. As they kissed, Dylan walked by the window behind them and smiled.
At Spencer, Katie went after Brooke about how she disrespected her by going after her husband years ago. Brooke patronized that it was a long time ago, but Katie said she never forgot. “You undermined my marriage and now you’re undermining my fashion company before it even has a chance to get started. I can’t believe you’re treating me this way!” Katie implored.
Brooke claimed Katie was blaming her for everything that went wrong in her life, then shrugged to her face in response. Katie said she wasn’t blaming her, but actions have consequences, and maybe, just for once, Brooke should be held accountable.
“You targeted my husband. You didn’t respect my marriage. You didn’t respect me,” Katie told Brooke. She said she wouldn’t let her walk all over her again as she had in the past. “That’s not fair. I’ve always supported you,” Brooke told her.
Katie laughed and gave her more examples. Katie cried that she was so excited about this company, but Brooke couldn’t just be happy for her. “Your support is contingent on me bowing to your will,” Katie told her.
Katie told Brooke she was done with the argument. She advised her to get on board or get out of the way. “What did you expect? That I’d just let you steal my name?” Brooke asked. She accused Katie of taking her accomplishments away from her by using the Logan name for her own.
Katie thought Brooke would be proud of her, pat her on the back, and give her a little advice…like a sister would. “I didn’t know you couldn’t even share OUR name with me, that you couldn’t do that,” Katie added.
Brooke said that Katie was digging up the past, but Katie told her she knew it would always be between them. Brooke said the situation with Bill was a lot more complicated than Katie was saying. Katie told her that the result and public humiliation were the same.
Katie noted that Brooke had an amazing capacity to just forget and move on. As for Katie, she chose to forgive and have a relationship with Brooke. “I got my dignity back. I got my pride back. And, I got Bill back,” she said.
Katie told Brooke that now that she had her self-respect back, she was determined to make her fashion house a success. She could see in Brooke’s eyes that she didn’t think she could do it so she told her to go and said she wasn’t welcome there anymore.
Brooke stopped in the doorway and told Katie she loved her. “Get out,” Katie snarled. After Brooke left, Katie cried.
When Bill came in, Katie told him about her visit from Brooke and how she didn’t think she could succeed. Katie was determined to prove her wrong. She said she wanted to do it with Brooke’s support, but now she’d do it in spite of her.
“The days of the quiet, sweet little sister are over,” Katie seethed. “Brooke and Ridge and the entire fashion world are going to hear Katie Logan roar,” she added. Bill smiled, then laughed proudly.
Brooke returned to Forrester and told Ridge that she wanted to be supportive of Katie, but Bill just handed her a company, and the first thing she did was take Brooke’s name.
Ridge complained that Bill came over with his ego, and it reminded him that they always steal from them. Ridge said they had to be on their guard. “I can’t believe this is happening between Katie and me,” Brooke lamented.
