The Bold and the Beautiful Recap

At the beach house, Dylan admitted to Electra and Will that she was homeless and that a series of events led to the situation. She apologized for lying, and said that she’d been hiding it from everyone for a while.
Dylan thanked Will and Electra for being concerned but said she was sure her situation would turn around. She was going to leave, but they insisted she move into the apartment over the garage for a few days. Electra offered to stay as well so Dylan would be more comfortable, and she gratefully accepted.
In the CEO’s office at Forrester, Ridge and Brooke were stunned when Carter said he submitted the renewal form, but it was rejected. “It was available, and now it’s not,” he said. Carter offered to look into it, but Brooke said not to bother. She knew it was Katie and marched off to stop her.
Carter tried telling Ridge that it was Katie’s name, too, but said he was mad as well. He told Ridge that Brooke would convince Katie to do the right thing. Ridge ranted that Katie was a PR person and knew nothing about fashion, and that she was disrespecting her after everything Brooke did for her.
At Spencer, Katie and Bill were overjoyed when Liam’s fast typing got them the trademark, and the Logan name was now Katie’s to use. Bill thought Katie’s company was off to a good start and was confident she would shine.
Katie was letting it sink in that she was really living her dream when Brooke came in and asked her if she was happy with herself. She told Katie that she felt betrayed that Katie would use her name, noting that she brought Katie into the industry, and wondered why she would repay her in this way.
Katie noted that she had built her own career, but Brooke patronized her about what it took to build a company, including how she’d need employees, which she didn’t have yet. Brooke said all she had was a fantasy about a company.
Katie told her it was a dream, noting that was all Eric had when he built Forrester. Brooke scoffed at her for comparing herself to Eric. She told her she supported her, just not if she used her own name. Brooke lamented how she was Logan.
Katie told Brooke that Logan was a pet name her husband called her, but Eric never did, or Thorne. She added that if anyone associated her with Forrester, maybe it’s because she’d married them all. Brooke accused her of being nasty and went back to threatening her not to use her own name.
Brooke said that Katie was her little sister, a little girl looking out a window, down at Brooke living her life, and wanting to be like her. She said that she’d been given a gift and thought she’d take it straight to the top, and she’d probably fail.
Katie cried that Brooke was discounting her career for over the past decade. She reminded Brooke that she ran Forrester for a while. Brooke pointed out that it was a hostile takeover at the time, by Bill, who put Katie in charge.
Katie realized that Brooke was upset that Bill was giving her opportunities, but said that maybe he didn’t give them to Brooke because he didn’t think she was as capable.
“Wouldn’t it be funny if, after all these years, what you’re really upset about is that you’re losing out to me over a man?” Katie said. She asked if it was infuriating that a man Brooke once controlled didn’t want her anymore but wanted Katie instead.
