At the Forrester mansion, Eric teased Donna about a Christmas Eve surprise as he glanced at the garment bag lying on the arm of the couch. Ridge, Brooke, Carter, and Daphne arrived, and Donna made drinks.

Eric and Ridge greeted one another warmly, grateful to spend the holiday together. Carter and Daphyne spent most of their time under the mistletoe. Ridge came over to tease Carter, but then told him that it was good to see him happy.

Finn and Steffy arrived with Hayes and Kelly, and thanked Eric for keeping up the tradition. Steffy greeted Brooke warmly in front of everyone, and they hugged. Donna served Eric’s famous eggnog while Eric pulled Ridge aside.

Eric said he had a design he wanted him to see, and said it was his most important. Ridge dismissed him, saying that they should focus on the holiday and talk about it next year.

Eric agreed and did a toast to the spirit of Christmas. Ridge came up to Eric privately after, and told him he made a nice speech. He said it was good that Eric could rally, and that he’d been a little worried about him since seeing him at the office. Eric told Ridge he was the one who just told him to focus on the holiday and walked away. Ridge stared after him, curiously.

In the living room, Hayes and Kelly anticipated Santa. Daphne shared that being there with the Forresters and Carter made home feel closer. Carter added that he was on the upswing in so many ways. He said he valued Eric and Ridge’s friendships, even when he didn’t deserve it. “Thank you for opening up your home to me again,” Carter added.

Donna thanked everyone for coming, and Brooke said her Christmas wish was for everyone to experience the depth of love that she feels for Ridge.

Eric mentioned the surprises he had planned for the evening, but Ridge interrupted. He did a toast to Eric for being the glue of the family.

A little while later, as people started noticing that Eric and Donna were missing, Santa and Mrs. Claus came in through the front door. They gave presents to Kelly and Hayes, who excitedly opened them. Finn and Steffy took their turn under the mistletoe, and Carter played cornole in the hallway.

Carter and Ridge exchanged presents — a pen for Carter, presumably not to be used on LLC papers, and a framed photo of Brooke and her destiny kissing in the CEO’s office for Ridge.

Ridge played games with the kids, and they ate treats. Donna also gave a framed photo of Brooke and Ridge as a gift to Brooke. Ridge kept an eye on his dad throughout the evening.

Ridge approached his dad and asked if the important design was the Santa suit. Eric said it represented everything about the season, and that the suit and the Mrs. Claus outfit were what he was picking up at the office.

Eric said being at Forrester gave him a little extra time to consider the situation and that he realized he didn’t need to lead the charge on every new Forrester line anymore. “That is the greatest gift you could give me,” Ridge told him.

Eric made a speech to everyone about Christmas Eve, family, and being together. Ridge agreed and said they needed to remember the spirit of Christmas all year long. “Merry Christmas, everyone,” Eric concluded.

Everyone gathered around the piano as Eric played. They sang “Jingle Bells” together, and then the cast and crew joined them on set. Showrunner Brad Bell began, “From our family to yours…” as everyone chimed in with, “Happy Holidays!”
