At Bill’s office, Katie and Bill discussed his proposal to build her a fashion house. Bill told her the Forresters would continue to undervalue her and asked whether that was what she wanted for herself. He told her no pressure, but reminded her that she could be working at Spencer, the family business, instead.

In the design office, Taylor came to see Steffy, who asked if her mom was really moving on with her life without Ridge. Taylor asked when she’d ever known her to live in the past.

Steffy told Taylor that Hope’s new line needed some changes. She thought it would be great if Thomas returned to be the head designer, and thought the new PR team would be a huge help, not only for Hope for the Future, but for Katie, who was going through a lot.

At home, Sheila told Deacon that she knew he was put in an awful position, not allowing her to go to the wedding. She told him that she went to see Taylor the day of the wedding, who gave her some much-needed perspective.

Deacon admitted that he’d had a session after the wedding, and Taylor told him about Sheila going to see her. Sheila assumed he’d think she overstepped by going to Taylor as he was her counsellor. Sheila was proud of herself for not going to the wedding and embarrassing him.

Sheila noted that she went to someone to talk about her feelings, instead of making a scene, and thought that was progress. Sheila credited Taylor for everything she could and said that she and Deacon wouldn’t be together right now if not for Taylor.

In the CEO’s office, Brooke repeated to Ridge how Katie and Bill married. Carter came in and joined in the conversation, then noted that the new PR firm was doing a great job. Brooke said that it was important to Katie to work and wondered what it meant for her that the PR firm had some great ideas for Forrester’s future.

As they talked about the PR team’s recommendations for a new campaign, Katie walked in. Carter explained that they wanted a bold new campaign for the HFTF relaunch. Ridge confirmed that Carter had run it by the PR team, and he assured him they’d signed off on it. Katie questioned why they would talk to the outside firm about a campaign before even mentioning it to her.

Carter had to rush off to a meeting with the PR team and Ridge invited Brooke to sit in on it. When Katie asked what they were discussing, he told her not to worry about as they had it covered. Katie reminded Ridge she was the head of PR. Brooke patronizingly told her sister that no one was keeping her out of the loop.

Ridge interrupted Katie’s response to tell her that they outsourced the PR firm because she had her hands full in her personal life. Katie understood that in the moment, but noted they hadn’t even cc’d her. Exasperated already, Brooke told Katie there was nothing for her to worry about, then she and Ridge rushed off to join the PR meeting, leaving the head of PR wondering if it was time to leave Forrester.

When Brooke and Ridge came back after the meeting, they noted that Katie wasn’t sitting there waiting for them. Ridge figured Katie found something to do and that she’d understand it was just business.

Katie went to Bill and told him that he knew what Forrester Creations meant to her. She said she’d made some of their most successful ad campaigns, but lately, it seemed like the Brooke and Ridge show. Bill told her that she could build the most successful fashion house and believed in her to do it. “Just say the word. Tell me that you want it!” Bill encouraged.
