The Bold and the Beautiful: Did RJ Forrester Bring Home a Reset Button?
On The Bold and the Beautiful, RJ Forrester is back with a handful of history. But as viewers know, grudges and rivalries reign supreme, and one (er, another) long-time feud is about to spill over into the next generation — just don’t be picky about the details.

Last week on The Bold and the Beautiful, Forrester Creations was abuzz about the return of Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge’s (Thorsten Kaye) son, RJ Forrester, now played by Brayan Nicoletti.
While models and interns squealed with delight that “he” was back, RJ had his eyes transfixed on his cousin kinda-sorta-but-not-really with the same surname, Electra (Laneya Grace).
Clearly, viewers are going to have to start fresh in their minds when they think of this character and delete a few things that, at some point prior to today, were clear in their memory banks.
A Revised B&B History
First of all, RJ has been gone for years in fake L.A. time. So long, that he doesn’t really remember knowing Will. In fact, he knows him better as the son of Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and his aunt Katie Logan (Heather Tom).
Of course, that would make RJ and Will cousins as their moms are sisters, but since they don’t share the Forrester name, RJ shrugged him off as a distant acquaintance, noting that they went to different boarding schools. Didn’t we all.
The other thing that seems rather murky is the history of Luna (Lisa Yamada) and RJ. As we all recall, RJ was in love with Luna and they were practically living together at the beach house just last year before she got all murdery.

So it was a bit of a head-scratcher when today, RJ brought up Luna to Electra, calling what happened “crazy Luna stuff” and asking her if she was okay with all of it — asked in a way that implied she shouldn’t be dating Will after Luna did what she did. What an intro.
Of course, Will was listening from the doorway as his cousin questioned his girlfriend about how into him she actually was.
So here’s the thing. When Will first considered working at Forrester just over a year ago, he and RJ didn’t like each other. It almost seemed like they were going to do the rivalry then, but Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Hope (Annika Noelle), a coup, and that “crazy Luna stuff” got in the way.
But as far as not seeing each other for years, when RJ was last seen, he was at Forrester, with some designs under his arm, presenting them with Zende (Delon de Metz) at a Hope for the Future meeting. The line got canceled, Hope got fired, and no one mentioned RJ again — until now.
So no, you’re not misremembering things. But you don’t need to remember them anymore, either.
What Happens Next
This week, RJ and Will are going to get reacquainted real fast — and you can bet the bitterness between Bill and Ridge is going to trickle down to the tempers of their sons. Throw in contending for Electra, and the gloves will be off.
We have a feeling that this RJ is an older, more experienced version of the character. Before, Will did laps around him with his comebacks, but this RJ might not show up ill-equipped for a war of words.
How far will RJ go to get what he wants? Well, he is Thomas’ (Matt Atkinson) half-brother, after all. We’re not saying anyone needs to hide the Electra mannequins, but maybe don’t dish out the benefit of the doubt too freely just yet.
