Quotes and Musings

For the Week of November 17 to 21, 2025

We’ve rounded up some of our favorite scene-making quotes for the week and threw in some of our musings for good measure!

QUOTES

“It’s not like you just woke up out of your digital detox in my basement and decided to turn the other cheek.” - Alexis to Ric, skeptical of his true intentions

“Alexis, I’ve changed, okay? I’ve had my come-to-Jesus moment. I have – I have reflected upon myself, and I have evolved. A month of captivity will do that to a man.” - Ric to Alexis

“Not everything gets cleaned up with an apology. Some mistakes you just have to live with.” - Britt to Emma

Jenz Sidwell: “He may have saved you from the bomb in Croatia, but he can’t save you from the one in your DNA. He doesn’t have the medicine. (pretending to talk to Jason) ‘Do you have the medicine, Jason, to save Britt from Huntington’s?’ (imitating Jason) ‘No, Jenz. No, I don’t have that.’ Only we do.” - Sidwell to Britt

Vaughn: “Why don’t you come down to the station tomorrow, and we’ll get everything straightened out.” Dalton: (drunkenly) “I don’t know if I’m free.”

“Now, if you’ll excuse me. I need to go wash the slime off my body.” - Josslyn to Gio and Emma, referencing Dalton putting his hands on her

Britt: “You shot him! Why would you do that?” Sidwell: (quizzical look) “Uh, I took your advice and cut him loose.”

“You’re wasting your time. Look at that. I shot him right through the heart. Dalton was dead before he even hit the ground. Dead.” - Sidwell to Britt about Dalton

“Could you come upstairs? I seem to have made a mess.” - Sidwell, after killing Dalton, on the phone with his new “butler”, Pascal

Lulu: “Speaking of giving up. Do you think I could get a little preview of your concession speech, Councilman Boyle? (starts recording on her phone) Councilman Boyle, your reaction to tonight’s election results?” Ezra: (leans into her phone) “Go to hell.” Lulu: “Can I quote you on that?”

Laura: “But the thing is, you see, the voters rejected you. They rejected you and your toxic politics. So, having a tantrum about it, you know, it’s just not gonna change anything. But, if it will make you feel better, Ezra, you go ahead and you tantrum all you want. Just tantrum as much as you want, but not here.” (slams door in his face)

Lucas: “I am just hoping that, in time, Carly will see how happy we are together. She’ll apologize, and she and I will figure out a way to repair our relationship.” Ava: “Well, that’s asking Hope to do a lot of heavy lifting.”

Britt: “That lunatic strapped a bomb to my ankle.” Pascal: “It wasn’t personal. Actually, it was. You are very, very annoying.”

“I don’t have enough fingers to count the amount of people that wanted Drew dead.” - Carly to Sonny

Michael: “I know, but I, I couldn’t just stand by and let him speak to you that way. He has no right. Like you could just be bought and sold.” Jacinda: “That’s what our deal is, though, right?”

“I didn’t know if we were drowning our sorrows or celebrating good news. I figured martinis are good for either.” - Ava to Nina

“You can’t know what you don’t know.” - Brook Lynn to Gio

“Thanks, Mom.” - Gio to Brook Lynn

MUSINGS

This Week’s Standout Scenes & Scene Partners:

  • Alexis & Ric - Any scene with Alexis and Ric is going to be laced with acerbic wit and be pure gold. The chemistry between Nancy Lee Grahn and Rick Hearst is off the charts, and their wry wit and comedic timing are flawless.

  • Laura & Dalton - Grandma Laura was not in the mood to be trifled with, and clearly, the voters of Port Charles liked this side of Laura as well. Daniel Goddard did not hold back on playing the entitled agitator, and Genie Francis reminded us that Laura has a fierce streak. Additional kudos to Goddard for having to play a dead Dalton with his eyes open and to Francis for acting appropriately and realistically freakidy-freak freaked out when Laura found his body.

  • Carly & Jack - The scenes in the hotel room were understatedly chilling. Jack is clearly falling hard for Carly, but also clearly thinks he is getting away with his subterfuge. Carly is walking a tightrope of managing how she felt about him before the betrayal, how she feels about him now, and how to fool him into thinking she’s still all-in. Chris McKenna expertly switches back & forth from the lovesick puppy-dog eyes to the WSB autobot-mode. Laura Wright was beyond impressive in showing Carly feigning her romantic feelings for Jack to mask her hurt, anger, and utter revulsion. Wright is sogood that she always makes it look easy.

  • Sonny & Laura - Nothing like one grandparent helping another grandparent avoid a false murder rap and political scandal. Maurice Benard and Genie Francis have such a great rapport in all of their scenes. Speaking of, check out Genie Francis on the latest State of Mind with Maurice Benard.

Oof, Trina is starting to spin out.

Continued to shake my head at Dante’s inability to regulate his anger with Gio, and really wanted Brook Lynn to step in and say something. I’m starting to think Portia is allergic to the truth when it comes to Curtis.

Why does no one, including Nathan himself, seem at all curious to find out where he has been for the past seven years?

So glad Lulu acknowledged how wrong she and Dante were about turning in Michael all those years ago. It’s interesting that they will make reference to something awful happening in prison to change Michael, but they won’t say he was raped.

I get that Jason chose to marry Carly before, yadda yadda yadda, but he also managed to save Britt more than once without her being his first or only priority, so I’m not sure why she continues to carry the Carly-sized chip on her shoulder. Like, damn, let the boy have his own friends.

Sidwell’s animated behavior had me cracking up.

Kudos to Daniel Goddard’s drunken version of Dalton. He played the annoying and sloppy drunk well.

Uh oh, Charlotte’s latent Cassadine & Spencer behavior may be starting to show again.

Laura’s facials were everything this week!

I need to put Lucas and Chase in a time-out for annoying behavior.

Britt’s screaming into a pillow…All I can say is, “Girl, same. I feel ‘ya.”

Speaking of, Kelly Thiebaud flexed her dramatic muscle with Britt’s reaction to Dalton’s shooting. I’m not sure I believe the daughter of Cesar Faison and Liesl Obrecht would be that shocked by Sidwell’s actions, but Thiebaud’s acting was impressive nonetheless.

Loved that Michael helped Brook Lynn and Gio find their way to each other. Also loved that the scenes between Brook Lynn and Gio ended with him calling her mom.

I understand searching for the truth, but Chase seems disproportionately enthusiastic about taking Michael down.

If I were Jason, I think I would be tempted to dump Dalton’s body on Spoon Island just to see how Sidwell reacted.
