Scene-making Quotes of the Week

Brad and Britt on General Hospital

This week’s 👑King of Quotables was, undoubtedly, Brad Cooper (Parry Shen).

Britt: “Can we not talk about New Year’s Eve? It’s not something I really want to get into.”
Brad (apparently forgetting that loose lips sink ships): “Because your evening included cold fusion and espionage?”

“Fruitcake is emotional chaos in food form.” – Brad (Mental note: I really need to remember this quote for next year’s holiday gatherings.)

Brad: “You are not a priority for Jason, and you never will be. There’s about 50 people who will always come before you.”
Britt: “You’re being a bit dramatic, Brad.”
Brad: “Hmm, let’s see. There’s Sonny, Carly, their kids, uh, any and all of their pets, Carly’s hairstylist, because she loves her, and that cute bowl of moss she has in her kitchen if she still has that.” (Carly’s bowl of moss really should have had its own agent by now.)

“But the two of you are just so different. I mean, Jason has this code of honor. And you, my dear friend, have a tendency to lie like a rug.” – Brad to Britt (I mean, he’s not wrong.)

“Honesty is so boring and played out. And now here comes Jason, wanting you to change and become this truth-telling automaton just like he is.” – Brad to Britt

Brad (asking about Jason): “You’ve had a couple of kisses?!”
Britt: “Yes, Dad. But, he didn’t get  fresh, and I was home by curfew.”

All about Drew & Willow

Drew to Carly: “Willow is going to be proven innocent –”

Jason (as he is eating his steak): “Not  guilty.”

Drew: “What?”

Jason: “She won’t be found innocent,  it’s not guilty. It’s not the same thing.”

“I hate him.” – Michael testifying about Drew (as well as expressing the sentiment of everyone in Port Charles and the entire viewing audience)

“Remember the last time you insisted on coming forward with the truth about my parents and Drew? And then you didn’t listen to me, and then you regretted it. Listen to me now, we’re staying out of this.” – Trina seemingly standing firm to Kai about staying out of Willow’s case right before she decidedly did not stay out of it.

“And, you do have a history of breakdowns in court.” – Suzanne gently cautioning Willow against testifying.

“Drew had a five-star fit on the witness stand. He was practically spitting.” – Kristina to Dante about Drew’s egomaniacal diatribe on the witness stand

“Their love makes me sick.” – Carly speaking truth to Jason about Willow & Drew.

Musings & Speculations of the Week

Willow and Michael on General Hospital

  • Michael’s death stare at Willow after he got off the witness stand was stone-cold perfection. My guess is that Michael actually saw Willow the night of the shooting and wants to say, “I know what you did last summer.”
  • Was Michael lurking in the window at Willow & Drew’s Thanksgiving wedding a little clue that he saw Willow through the window when she shot Drew???
  • Turns out Willow could join the cast of Why Women Kill.
  • Kudos to the reveal episode! Even if you guessed it was Willow, showing the “whodunnit” in flashbacks as she was on the stand amped up the suspenseful drama & shed a clearer light on Willow’s behavior. Trina & Kai hearing the ringtone at the end was a chef’s kiss! 🤌🏼The writers said this was just the beginning of major drama to come so, hopefully, there are more reveals in our future!
  • Why wasn’t “good guy” Chase at the rest of Willow’s trial as a private citizen?
  • Justine is continuing to grow on me.
  • Hubris, thy name is Drew. His unhinged, lie-filled testimony was delicious. It really will be poetic justice if Drew becomes a victim of his own folly.
  • Is Kristina tapping into a trust fund, or is she receiving a sizeable allowance from Sonny? She’s had enough disposable income to pay Cody to seduce Ava, and then she had enough to pay Jacinda to leave town.
  • Nice nod to Luke during Laura & Sonny’s conversation on Friday’s episode.
  • How old is the Raven Motel (where Ezra met up with Jacinda)? They still used a sign-in page for their guests.
  • How many months do you think it will take to find out what’s up with Nathan?
  • Dante’s existential crisis continues.
Nancy Lee Grahn as Alexis on General Hospital

  • At any moment, it looked like Alexis was going to shoot death lasers out of her eyes towards Drew.
  • I still think they should install an MMA Octagon at Volonino’s. Anytime characters have beef with each other, they can duke it out in the boxing ring or fight it out in the Octagon & Sonny could sell tickets.
  • If Valentin is going to continue to live in Carly’s attic, maybe he can start writing a book like Jo in Little Women.
  • One time, at Alexis’s house, Drew almost remembered something that happened after he was shot. Do you think he already remembered or will remember Willow’s ringtone going off?
  • All this time, it seemed as if Drew was a Svengali to Willow, but has Willow actually been a Svengali to Drew?
  • So, Trina & Kai are apparently the latest graduates of Scooby Doo University.
  • I looked up the jury whisperer, Suzanne’s (Jen Ray) Greek New Year’s Cake…it’s called a Vasilopita and has a lovely tradition!

  • LMAO that Jason picked up his steak knife & held it when Drew came over, continued to eat as Drew ranted, and then corrected him about Willow being found “not guilty” not being the same thing as being proven innocent.
