SCENE-SATIONAL QUOTES OF THE WEEK
“You know I don’t endorse violence of any kind, but Drew does have a very punchable face.” – Stella to Curtis
Nina: “My daughter is now Mrs. Drew Cain. This day couldn’t get any worse.”
Ava (about to share more bad news with Nina): “Um…I wouldn’t be too sure about that.”
“Honey, we’re talking about finding a corpse in your car.” – Kevin to Laura regarding Dalton
“You never would have sacrificed me to save your train wreck of a daughter if you knew I was pregnant? Oh please, you’d have me give birth in prison before letting Willow face any consequences.” – Portia to Nina
“News flash, Nina…Willow is not some innocent victim. She married Drew today. She’s riding shotgun.” – Portia to Nina
“You’re looking pretty good too…for a dead woman.” – Cody, who just saw Britt for the first time since being back from the dead
Gio (about the dogs from Dalton’s lab): “We didn’t steal them, Ric.”
Emma: “Yeah, that’s right. We liberated them.”
Ric: “Oh, I’m sorry. You see it the way you want to see it, but the police are going to see it the way it is, okay?”
“Yeah, well, unfortunately, morals and the law don’t always work in tandem.” – Ric to Emma & Gio
“Your subconscious is talking to you, and it has the same information that you do. It’s telling you what you want to do, not what you should do.” – Kevin to Laura, who was thinking she should tell the truth about finding Dalton’s body
Brennan: “I was very clear on exactly what would be expected from you the first time we talked about you joining the WSB.”
Josslyn: “Yes, yes, you were. And, I understand how that works for your dating life. I still have no idea what it has to do with national security.”
MUSINGS FOR THE WEEK
- This week’s Standout Scenes: Spinelli talking about Maxie with Jason at the Brown Dog, Sonny and Rocco talking about Dante, Michael & Jacinda becoming more than each other’s alibi, Laura’s nightmare from hell with Cyrus & Esme, Sidwell blackmailing Laura, and Ava failing to broker peace between Portia and Nina who briefly duked it out in the bathroom at the Brown Dog
- Portia needs to step up her game as Co-Chief of Staff…she acknowledged how well Monica took care of the hospital staff at Thanksgiving, but clearly made no attempt to follow her example. The staff was left to choose between the cafeteria’s turkey loaf or to fight for a share of Chase’s Thanksgiving meal that was originally only meant to feed about six people.
- Poor Cody wasn’t even invited to the Quartermaine Thanksgiving. I hope they, at least, saved him some pizza.
- Michael lurking outside of Drew’s window cracked me up almost as much as Nina & Alexis’s facial expressions during the wedding.
- Welcome back to Sgt. Anthony “Tony” Robinson (Nathaniel Harris), who we haven’t seen running the front desk at the PCPD for a while. Fun fact: Harris has been portraying Sgt. Robinson since 2006.
- Michael & Jacinda are continuing to grow on me.
- Is Britt getting her medical supplies through a veterinarian? She looks like she’s injecting herself with horse needles!
- Interesting twist with bringing in Ms. Selina Wu as the almost-assassin for hire. What if she decided to do everyone a solid and attempted to take Drew out anyway? She also owes Sidwell some payback, so maybe she can stick around and help Sonny and Laura take him down.
- Speaking of potential shooters, we need to revise the sad PCPD suspect board with more viable options. A friend of mine thinks it could be Ezra, which, I think, is a strong possibility. We also thought Chase could be an unexpected possibility, and we still haven’t ruled Willow out either. At this point, my money is on someone sent by Sidwell…could be Ezra, some random, or even Marco! Sidwell had already grown tired of Drew and could have been planning to pin the murder on Michael or Sonny.
- With all the blackmail in Port Charles, I think all the homes should have automatic recording devices installed.
- Dante continues to lose votes for Father of the Year.
- Ava’s peace talks broke down before they even started. I do like that Portia took no guff from Nina, though.
- Laura got her visit from the Ghosts of Christmas Past early. To have both Cyrus & Esme shaming you is a most brutal nightmare!
- Having Valentin break out of prison and show up at Carly’s was a perfect ending to the week!
