General Hospital Recap October 1

Gio and Trina
Gio and Trina | General Hospital | ABC

At Trina’s, she told Gio that Sonny was behind Curtis’ attack and that he was collateral damage because of his hit on Sidwell. Gio defended Sonny, saying that he wasn’t in the business anymore, but Trina told Gio that Sonny lied to him.

Gio was reeling, but Trina said she couldn’t be there for him as his friend when she blamed his grandfather for what happened to her dad. Gio set his feelings aside to ask Trina how she was handling everything and apologized for what she was going through. Trina told Gio that she had a choice now and needed his help.

Trina explained that Curtis identified Sonny’s people to the police and asked Gio to go to Sonny and ask him not to kill her dad.

Tracy Advises Chase To File For Divorce

Tracy and Chase

At the house, Tracy confronted Chase about moving in. She said if he was going to divorce Brook Lynn, they should hurry up and file. He said he still loved her but couldn’t forgive her for her lies. Tracy called him a hypocrite for needing Brook Lynn to prove she was worthy of him, but gave ‘that viper’ Willow forgiveness at every turn.

Chase said he was trying to figure out how to raise a child with someone he didn’t trust. Tracy said if Brook Lynn had told him the truth, he would have insisted she turn herself in at a crucial point in their adoption. Chase blamed Tracy for making Brook Lynn lie to him in the first place.

Brook Lynn Pushes Michael In The Lake

Michael and Brook Lynn

After playing some tennis, Brook Lynn talked to Michael about her marriage and how she felt about Chase moving back in to help himself. Michael told her to play the long game and use it to her advantage. She said he wasn’t aware he was playing right into Willow’s hands.

Michael matter-of-factly told her that it sucked and would be painful, but Chase would fall into bed with Willow, and then she could get full custody of Phoebe. Brook Lynn pushed him into the lake. When he got out, she blasted him for using her marriage to position himself with Willow.

Michael pointed out that an affair with a married man would look terrible for Willow. “Not only with her voters, but also in family court,” Michael said. “Just because you have an endless battle with Willow doesn’t give you a right to destroy my marriage!” Brook Lynn argued. “Your marriage is already over!” Michael yelled.

Michael reminded Brook Lynn that she was a Quartermaine, and they faced issues and dealt with them. Brook Lynn maintained that Chase didn’t deserve to be manipulated by Michael or Willow. Michael said she was letting her feelings cloud her judgment. Chase interrupted and asked if Brook Lynn was okay.

Willow Asks Tristan and Curtis For Favors

Curtis and Willow
Curtis and Willow | General Hospital | ABC

At the hospital, Willow asked Tristan about Sidwell’s condition. He said he couldn’t share that kind of information without consent. Willow told him she was also a licensed nurse. “Congratulations,” Tristan said before telling her no again and walking away.

Willow went into Curtis’ room to see him, explaining that the warden accommodated her visit. She called him a hero and wanted to help him. Curtis knew the real reason she was there was his statement about Sonny and how she could use it to her advantage.

Curtis wasn’t interested in helping her unless she got him out of prison. He told her to convince the Governor to make it happen. “Let me see what I can do,” Willow offered.

As Willow left, she ran into Trina in the hall. She snapped that she was told she had to wait ten more minutes to see Curtis. “Must be nice to be a Congresswoman,” she said. Willow told the guard to let Trina in and let her stay as long as she wanted.

Back at the nurses’ station, Willow suggested Tristan keep Curtis at GH for medical reasons, but he said it wasn’t necessary. She questioned if he was influenced by Curtis’ status as an inmate, or because he had issues with other hospital staff. Willow told him to do it as a favor to her, and Tristan agreed, only because it wouldn’t hurt, he said, to have a Congresswoman in his debt.

Scout Disowns Danny

Danny and Scout
Danny and Scout | General Hospital | ABC

Danny snuck into Drew’s after he saw him leave for work. He told Scout that Charlotte was sent away but was only trying to help them. He added that he and Rocco got out of hand — violently —  when they were arguing. Scout assumed he threw the first punch and called him a thug.

Scout was furious and told Danny that she was ashamed of him. He told Scout he loved her, but she said she would never need him, to stay away from her, and get out.

Danny raced over to the Qs. He told Tracy that he punched out Rocco and his sister hated him. Tracy assured Danny that Scout would get over it but he wasn’t so sure. He didn’t want to talk about Rocco, but she told him that if he didn’t offer an explanation, people would assign blame. That said, she knew he wouldn’t have thrown a punch if Rocco hadn’t given him a reason.

Lulu Sees Rocco’s Black Eye

Rocco and Lulu
Rocco and Lulu | General Hospital | ABC

At Lulu’s, Rocco was trying to sneak out to go to school, but Lulu saw his black eye. Rocco told her he’d fought Danny about Charlotte. Lulu snapped that it was one thing to grow apart; it was another to hit someone. Rocco said they both fought each other.

Lulu said the common denominator between Rocco and Charlotte’s bad choices was Danny. Lulu went to the Qs and told Tracy that someone needed to intervene because Danny was out of control. Rocco stayed home and thought about how he threw Sam in Danny’s face before he struck him. Scout showed up and told him that she told Danny she never wanted to see him again after what he did.

Sonny Kicks Out Dante

Dante and Sonny
Dante and Sonny | General Hospital | ABC

At Sonny’s, Dante came over to question his dad about Sidwell and Curtis’ attack. He told him to tell him straight if he ordered it or not. Sonny said he did not. Dante said he wasn’t going to stay if he was going to lie to him.

Sonny swore he wasn’t lying to him, but Dante said the Pentonville video showed Vito talking to Sully. Sonny told him he didn’t know why the attack happened, and gave Dante his word as his father. Dante didn’t think he respected him enough to tell him the truth.

Sonny told Dante the actual message that he gave Vito, citing how he didn’t want to be blamed for it if something happened. Dante told Sonny that he wanted to believe he walked away from the business, but knew how much he hated Sidwell. Sonny growled that if he wanted Sidwell dead, he would be, and not just in the hospital.

Dante went off on Sonny and got choked up as he said that he believed his dad when he said he wanted to go legit. Sonny pointed out that he’s done bad, and he’s also taken down bad people. As Dante said that he’d been burned by Sonny so many times, Gio arrived on his doorstep.

Gio paused to listen to the two of them fight. He heard Dante tell Sonny he didn’t want to deal with his lies anymore. “Is that how you feel? Get out of my house! I don’t want a son like you!” Sonny bellowed.
