General Hospital Recap May 8

Carly bemoaned to Valentin that the fate of her daughter shouldn’t rely on Nina. Valentin explained that since Jack believed he had an alliance with Nina, they needed her.
Valentin apologized and said he should’ve seen it coming that Jack would’ve used Josslyn and sent her away. He grabbed his gun and loaded it and on his way out the door said, “I can make it right…so let me.”
Sonny Is Convinced Ric Betrayed Him

Ethan told Sonny he followed Ric all day and he met with Ava a couple of times, and now just the two of them were at the gallery.
Sonny and Ethan agreed that it didn’t look good for Ric. Sonny said Ric would look him in the eye and tell him that on their mother’s grave, he wasn’t working with Ava and Sidwell.
Meanwhile, at the gallery, Ric told Ava not to back out and tapped the briefcase full of money. Ric was anxiously waiting for someone she had arranged to meet with them there.
While they waited, they squabbled until Ava got a message that the person they were meeting was there. Afterward, Sonny and Ethan walked in. Sonny had a gun pointed at Ric and told him he’d betrayed him for the last time.
Carly Announces Her Break-Up With Jack

Felicia met with Lucas to check in on him and catch up. He talked to her about his regrets with Marco and not realizing how much he had asked of him until it was too late.
Carly joined them and said that she and Jack were done. Felicia and Lucas were happy about it, but Felicia comforted her and then left them to talk.
Once alone, Lucas wanted the real story. “Jack found you cheated on him, didn’t he,” he said. Carly said he did, and asked if Lucas was the one who blabbed, but he insisted he wouldn’t do that.
Carly suggested that Josslyn told Jack to break them up, but agreed that Jack wasn’t worth losing her daughter for. She told Lucas she wanted to talk to Josslyn about it but she couldn’t reach her.
Dante Finds Out About Rocco

Dante asked Elizabeth to come to the station so he could talk to her. He explained that the blood on the gun wasn’t Cullum’s and he wanted another favor: for Elizabeth to sort some thoughts in his head.
Dante worked through the fact that he knew, and the lies. Dante knew that it had to be a rookie who held the gun to get injured, and that was when Elizabeth said she might know who it was.
Elizabeth said she had a patient come in with an injury consistent, and she didn’t put it on file because she was trying to do a favor for a friend, just like she was now. “It was Rocco,” she admitted.
Elizabeth told him the whole story. She said at the time, she didn’t have context but now it made sense, and agreed that Jason wouldn’t make those mistakes. Dante said that Rocco would be on the list of people Jason would lie to protect.
The more they talked about it, the more Dante figured out. He realized that Britt must have known as well, and couldn’t believe that Lulu lied to him about it.
Nathan Tries to Protect Rocco

Lulu was just coming to the porch when Nathan showed up. He told her she had to send Rocco away immediately or Cullum would end his life.
Nathan warned that Cullum was out of the hospital and the first thing he was going to do was find out who shot him. He explained how he would figure it out, and knew it wouldn’t take him long if he hadn’t already.
Lulu and Nathan went inside, and Lulu told him they were the only ones who knew, and Britt. Nathan said he was cracking under pressure and it was only a matter of time before he tells someone else and it wasn’t safe for him to be there.
Lulu Sees Red

Lulu insisted it wasn’t necessary yet, but when and if Cullum figured it out, she would take her son and run. She added that she didn’t like him telling her what to do, especially about her parenting.
Nathan snapped that he thought she was smarter than this, saying she was being stubborn and naive. “Are you saying I’m stupid?” Lulu asked. “I think you’re failing to grasp how dangerous the situation is,” Nathan told her.
Lulu was furious and said that sending away Rocco would destroy him. “Consider yourself removed from the situation,” she seethed. “Your son. Your secret. I won’t do anything else to change that,” Nathan told her before leaving. He paused outside to look at her through the window.
Nina Panics

At Drew’s, Nina moved him into his bedroom so she could give him his weekly dose of paralyzers before Jack got there or Valentin could give him another task. Nina was upset and nervous, rambling about it and panicked when she realized she’d left the needle in the living room.
Shaking, Nina prepped the needle and muttered that Willow had said he was overdue, so she had no choice. She asked Drew not to look at her while she did it, but before she could inject him, the doorbell rang, and Nina ran off.
Realizing the needle was still in her hand, she hid it on the table and then answered the door. Brennan came in and asked if she had something for him on Valentin.
Nina tried talking about his arrangement with Willow, but Jack wasn’t in the mood for her questions and yelled at her that he was demoted and kicked out of his office and he’d get to Willow’s needs when he could.
Jack didn’t understand why she was near hysteria, but she started screaming at him that he had to get out and leave town.
Valentin Comes To Kill Jack

When he asked why, Valentin said, “I was wondering the same thing.” They turned and saw Valentin with a gun pointed at them. He told Nina he always wondered about her, then told Jack it was time to get down to business.
Valentin wanted to know where he sent Josslyn, but Jack didn’t know what he was talking about. Valentin said if he was lying, he was dead, and if he was telling the truth, he was useless to him, but neither way ended well for Jack.
The two argued, then Jack made his move. Before Valentin could shoot, the gun was knocked out of his hand, and they struggled on the ground to get it as Nina screamed behind them to stop.
Valentin got the gun, but they continued to fight. Panicked to make them stop before the gun went off, Nina grabbed the needle and ran towards them. Just as she got there, Valentin and Jack spun around and intead of it going into Valentin’s chest, she plunged it into Jack’s back.
In the bedroom, Drew could hear the chaos as his fingers began to move.
