General Hospital Recap May 7: Cassius Tells Josslyn the Truth, Jack is Demoted As Cullum Takes Over

TL;DR: In today’s General Hospital recap, Josslyn meets Cassius Faison, who explains how he faked his identity. Cullum takes command of the station, demanding all of Jack Brennan’s files. Sonny confides in Alexis that he believes Ric has betrayed him. Valentin calls Nina for a favor just as she prepares to administer Drew’s paralyzing medication.

General Hospital Recap May 7

Britt came into the exam room and told Cassius that Dr. Gannon was in surgery. She asked if Sidwell and Cullum had him roughed up because she was taking too long and worried they would off her when she was done.

Cassius told her he bought her some time, and that when they had the prototype, they would move on. If not, then they’d deal with it at the time, but until then, their sons were not safe.

Molly Thinks Ric And Ava Are Together

Molly asked Ric to join her and Cody for lunch so she could share her exciting news, but before she could tell him what it was, he guessed they were engaged. Cody felt great when Ric was relieved to hear that they were not.

Molly told Ric that her book was coming out and she was going on a promotional tour with Cody. Ava interrupted and needed to talk to Ric about “unfinished business.”

Cody and Molly watched them interact and wondered if something was going on between them. Cody had a flashback to finding Ric in Alexis’ basement.

Once alone, Cody questioned Ric about Ava, but he promised that he wasn’t involved with her and wouldn’t betray Molly like that.

Willow Promises Drew It Will Get Better

At home, Willow did Drew’s exercises with him, while insisting that she wanted him to fully recover. When Nina got there, she told her to move Drew to the bedroom so he couldn’t talk to Kai when he got there.

Willow asked Nina to give Drew his meds because she wouldn’t be there, and didn’t want Travis seeing anything because he was hired by Sidwell.

Kai came by to give her the file about the WSB committee, and asked to say hi to Drew but Willow said he was sleeping. After he left, Willow told Nina about her threat to Brennan.

Carly Realizes Josslyn Told Jack

Carly brought Valentin a sandwich and told him she’d been trying to reach Josslyn, but she wouldn’t pick up. “When you reach her, be sure to ask her why she dropped the bomb on Jack,” he said.

Valentin said it was obvious that Jack came over the night before because Josslyn told him she was stepping out on him. “Now he knows it’s with me,” he added. Carly agreed he’d come in hot, like he was confirming something he already knew.

Carly noted that Josslyn didn’t know anything, but Valentin pointed out she was WSB. “She’s trained to be observant. I’m sure it didn’t take her long to figure out you were crazy about me,” he said half-jokingly.

Josslyn Meets Cassius

In the room, Josslyn called out for Nathan as she searched the room. She found a hanger and took it apart to use the metal hook to pick the lock on the door.

Nathan brought Josslyn a tray of food and told her picking the lock wouldn’t work. Josslyn tried telling Nathan that someone was getting in his head and messing with it, but he told her he was actually Cassius Faison.

Cassius told her that Liesl didn’t know, and thought he’d died in childbirth, claiming it was his father’s idea. He explained how he’d had Nathan’s body exhumed, made sure he was a DNA match, and hacked the PCPD database to replace Nathan’s fingerprints with his own.

Josslyn asked if he trusted her with the truth because he planned on killing her but Cassius said he didn’t want it on his conscience. Eventually he told her that all her questions was how she got in trouble to begin with. 

Josslyn fumed when he admitted that Britt told him she was WSB. He said she wasn’t going anywhere, and no one would look for her there so she just needed to wait. She guessed he worked for Cullum and Sidwell but he said that he and Britt wanted out.

Emma Makes Peace With Britt

Emma came with Gio to see Trina at work, who wanted Gio to play guitar with her while she sang at an audition, and he agreed. Emma went to her gynecological exam and was mortified that Britt was taking her doctor’s appointments. 

Britt said she could reschedule, but the next available for her doc wasn’t until August, so Emma reluctantly proceeded with Britt. After, she mentioned she had a headache and assumed it was from her birth control.

Britt got Emma a new prescription, and they were both surprised that at the end of the appointment, Emma suggested that she do the follow-up with Britt in six weeks.

Ava Clears The Room

Meanwhile, Gio and Trina hung out and talked, and Carly stopped in to ask Trina where Josslyn was. She didn’t know, but said she’d have her call her.

As Gio and Trina were talking about playing together, Kai came in. Ava came in as well and insisted that Trina take the rest of the day off to clear them all out of there.

Cullum Takes Over

Brennan came to see Cullum in his hospital room as he was getting ready to be discharged. Jack told him he had his flight booked for Belgium, but Cullum announced he wasn’t going anywhere.

Cullum wanted to review the evidence of his shooting, but Brennan told him the PCPD had it, per his office’s direction. Cullum said it proved Jack was incompetent and he’d be taking command of the station immediately.

Cullum said Brennan could stay on, but he’d be taking orders from him. He said his first task was to hand over all of his files, including a list of all of his agents. 

Sonny Seeks Alexis’s Advice

Sonny went to see Alexis and told her that Ric lied to him and suspected that his brother was working against him after all. 

Sonny wasn’t surprised that Ric betrayed him, but said it took him by surprise that he didn’t want it to be true. He was still giving him the benefit of the doubt even though he lied to his face.

Alexis asked what would happen if he really was coming after Sonny. He said he didn’t know, but brothers or not, they were done.

Valentin Has a Plan

Carly came back and told Valentin that she couldn’t find Josslyn. He suggested Brennan sent her on an assignment out of revenge. They said they needed to find out where she was then force him to bring her back.

Valentin told Carly he had an idea on how to do that, but she wasn’t going ot like it.

Meanwhile, at Drew’s, Nina got his meds ready to administer. She paused to tell him that she didn’t take any pleasure in making him paralyzed but trusted that Willow was working on a solution.

Nina trembled as she was about to put the needle into Drew’s IV. Her phone rang so she put the needle down on the table and answered it. It was Valentin, who told Nina that he had a new job for her.
