General Hospital Recap May 6: Ethan Vows to Keep Delilah’s Secret, Dante Asks Liz for Blood, Laura Warns Ric

TL;DR: In today’s General Hospital recap, Curtis tells Jordan that he suspects Isaiah was the other driver. Dante asks Elizabeth for Cullum’s blood sample, and she gives it to him. Cassius shocks Britt by being the John Doe at the hospital. Ethan cries over Delilah and vows to keep her and Phoebe’s secret. Laura pleads with Ric to pause his relationship with Elizabeth to keep her safe from Sidwell.

General Hospital Recap May 6

At home, Curtis told Jordan that he suspected that Isaiah was the other driver and why. She couldn’t accept his theory, noting that Isaiah was her friend and saved lives for a living.

Jordan was taken aback when Curtis admitted he bypassed police and went straight to the D.A. Curtis explained that Justine was just as determined to get answers as they were. He promised if she asked Justine to drop it and she did, then he would, too.

Likewise, Jordan said if there was indisputable proof that the other driver was Isaiah, she would accept it. She said she wanted the other driver held responsible, no matter who they were.

Dante Asks Elizabeth For A Big Favor

Britt was snappish with Elizabeth; then Dante came in and asked to speak to Elizabeth. Britt told him to take a seat and wait. After they got Britt to leave them alone, Dante told Elizabeth he had a big favor to ask.

Dante explained that he was trying to do his own investigation and he was going with what he had before the WSB took away all the evidence. He had one blood sample from the gun that was Jason’s but wanted to trace the other.

Concerned that the WSB would find out what he was doing, Dante said he couldn’t ask Cullum for a blood sample. Elizabeth did as he asked and handed a sample over. “Thank you,” Dante told her. “For what? I have no idea what you’re talking about,” Elizabeth said with a smile as she walked away.

General Hospital’s John Doe

In the exam room, Isaiah checked out Nathan, who told him that there couldn’t be any record of his injuries. Isaiah told him that Lulu was his friend, but from what he’d seen, she wasn’t too happy with Nathan, and asked why he should ignore hospital protocol or the law for him.

Nathan downplayed that they had a difference of opinion and nothing more. He offered to leave without getting medical care if he couldn’t help him. Isaiah asked him to lift his shirt, and when he saw the bruises, he noted that the perp put up quite the fight. Isaiah tended to him, and Nathan asked him to put him down as John Doe like anyone else that came into ER without ID.

Later, Isaiah was called to a liver transplant and asked Britt to tell his John Doe that his scans indicated bruised ribs but no breaks. She reluctantly agreed and went to the exam room, shocked to find Cassius there.

Ethan Gets All The Details

Brook Lynn and Chase explained to Ethan that Delilah died and Phoebe spent weeks in the NicU. They told him the details of when Delilah died, and said that they loved Phoebe and hoped to adopt her.

Chase told Ethan that he couldn’t shake the feeling that she had something to hide. He told him all the details about his investigation, and since he couldn’t dig anything up on her, he assumed Delilah had been covering her tracks.

After Ethan left, Brook Lynn and Chase were even more determined to adopt after hearing themselves talk about it out loud. Meanwhile, Ethan wasn’t in as good a mood.

Ethan went to the pier and cried over a photo of Delilah blowing a kiss and told her he was sorry. “I should have been here. You were supposed to be safe,” he sobbed. He told her that Phoebe was beautiful and that he met her. “I’ll keep it to myself, okay? No one will ever have to know,” he said as he lit her photo on fire.

Sonny Confides In Justine

At the studio, Justine asked Sonny if he was upset that he thought Ric was lying to him, or if he was mad at himself for giving him another chance. Sonny said that either way, it was Ric’s last shot.

Justine reminded Sonny of the things Ric had done to him, and wondered what made Sonny think that Ric had changed. Sonny told her how Ric came to him wanting to be real brothers, and he believed that he could, so he gave him a try.

Sonny said the timing was good, and when Rocco needed him, he sent Ric instead of Diane. But now, he feared that Ric had set him up. Justine advised that he didn’t know why Ric lied, and he needed to find that out before condemning him, in case he was planning a surprise, not a sabotage.

Justine added that with their professions, or alleged professions as Sonny reminded her, people that can be trusted are hard to come by. She told him that she had a hard time trusting as well.

Laura Pleads With Ric To Come Clean

At Laura’s office, she told Ric that Elizabeth agreed to go away with him and thought he’d changed, but didn’t know that he was involved in a criminal conspiracy with her and Sonny.

Laura explained how scared she was for Kevin and Ace, and that they had to move away because Sidwell threatened them. She told Ric that they made choices and took steps to stay safe…and that Elizabeth couldn’t because she didn’t know what she was getting into.

Laura said that with everything going on with Sidwell, Ric should pause putting a bigger target on Elizabeth’s back. She thought Sidwell should be taken care of first.
