General Hospital Recap May 27: Jordan Shocks with Felony Charges for Curtis, Sonny warns Lulu about Cullum

TL;DR: In today’s General Hospital recap, Curtis is going to be charged with felony assault after punching Isaiah, whose broken hand means Derek’s transplant surgery is delayed and he could die. Sonny warns Lulu that Cullum is onto her and offers Brick’s assistance in finding Rocco and Britt.

General Hospital Recap May 27

At Sonny’s, Gio lamented to Sonny that Rocco was missing. He felt bad knowing that Rocco didn’t feel like he could trust him anymore, and that was probably why he went to Britt. Gio had no idea where to start looking for Rocco, but Sonny told him to sit tight and that he would take care of everything.

Gio later met with Emma at Bobbie’s and told her what was going on. She was upset that Rocco would run away with Britt and talked loudly about it across the restaurant. Gio had faith that Rocco would make good choices.

Kristina’s Med School News

Molly was thrilled for Kristina and her news. She read the email herself and then went into Bobbie’s and announced to everyone there that her sister had gotten into med school. Kristina explained to Molly that after she spent time in the hospital, she was depressed and didn’t want to live. Now, she wants to make a difference in someone’s life.

Molly was confused when Kristina said she wouldn’t go to med school or become a doctor. Kristina told her that a bunch of excuses from taking care of Danny to running Charlie’s but then admitted she never finished anything and didn’t see why med school would be any different.

Ric’s Bedside Manner

Ric rushed to Elizabeth’s side in the hospital after hearing she had been “brutally attacked.” Elizabeth said it was an exaggeration but told him that Britt locked her in the bathroom so she could run away with Rocco. Ric listened when Elizabeth told him that she felt bad for Dante and revealed he’d confided in her recently.  He seemed curious as to how close the two of them were.

Lulu and Dante Get Help

Lulu and Dante worked together to try to find a clue about Rocco’s whereabouts. They wondered if Britt left with him because Cullum wasn’t onto them, and that would mean he would have WSB resources to find them.

Dante admitted that Nathan convinced him that Rocco would be better off out of town, and just before she called, he was about to call Sonny to get him to get all three of them out of town. Lulu was livid at Britt, but Dante told her to channel that anger into finding their son.

Lulu and Dante went to Sonny, who had pieced together that Britt was running from Cullum. He knew that Lulu had also planned to leave with Rocco and said Cullum was onto her. He warned that if she went after Rocco, she’d be leading Cullum right to him. Sonny told them that Brick was the best chance at finding Rocco without tipping off Cullum, and he would get him on it immediately.

Isaiah Realizes The Damage Done

Jordan went to see Portia and Isaiah to get their statements. Isaiah claimed that Curtis got in his face and that he stood his ground, but he didn’t initiate the physical altercation, and Portia backed him up.

Isaiah discussed his injuries, noting that he was a specialist who couldn’t perform transplant surgery.

Later, Isaiah ran into Kai, who wanted to visit Derek. Isaiah suggested it wasn’t a good time, as he had just told his parents he couldn’t perform the surgery because of his broken hand and didn’t know what that meant for Derek’s fate.

Trina Wants Answers and Peace

Trina went to see her dad to find out what happened with Isaiah. Curtis told her he suspected him of being the other driver and covering it up, and that he provoked him by saying he’d be a better father. Curtis said he punched him, and Trina asked how much trouble he was in.

Jordan was sure that Justine would see it how it was: that Curtis threw the only punch, but he was provoked. Curtis agreed that there was no way she was going to press charges against him. Trina asked if it was because she was Jordan’s friend, but Jordan said that Justine was fair and would see things clearly.

Afterward, Trina went to see her mom and asked that she convince Isaiah to show Curtis some mercy. Portia wasn’t willing to ask him that, given the damage that was done to his hand and his career.

When Trina left, she saw Kai in the hallway. Upset about his conversation with Isaiah, he corrected her wording to say that Isaiah didn’t hurt his hand — and that Curtis damaged it. He was upset that Derek’s life-saving surgery was being affected by it all, and because Isaiah could no longer do the operation, he needed to find a new donor, and the boy could die because of it.

Jordan Makes a Decision

Meanwhile, Jordan suggested to Curtis that they keep the peace in the family for Trina’s and the baby’s sake. She said that they should let it go, accusing Isaiah of being the other driver when they didn’t have proof. Curtis refused because he did blame Isaiah, and said he almost killed her.

Curtis and Jordan were preparing to leave for the arraignment when Justine came by. She told them that Curtis was being charged with felony assault.
