General Hospital Recap June 9: Sidwell Shoots Lucas, Liesl Meets Cassius, and Portia’s Baby Shower Chaos

TL;DR: In today’s General Hospital recap, tempers flare at Portia’s baby shower, Lucy and Brook Lynn plot against Willow, and a deadly confrontation erupts when Lucas and Sidwell have a showdown.

General Hospital Recap June 9

Brook Lynn went to see Willow, who didn’t want a confrontation about jealousy and Chase. Willow assured Brook Lynn that all she wanted was for Chase to be happy, which is why she offered him the job. They hugged, but Brook Lynn was faking their truce.

Brook Lynn met with Lucy, and they plotted to suggest that Willow was the driver of the other car in Jordan’s accident. They decided that if she didn’t have an alibi, it would be enough for Chase to look at Willow differently.

Jack Tries to Stop Willow

At Turning Woods, Jack pleaded with Nina to go to the bureau or the cops since Valentin wouldn’t. Later, Willow showed up to give Jack his injection since Nina was going to Portia’s baby shower. As she explained, they were doing it to protect him from Cullum, Jack grabbed her arm and told her not to do it. Willow was shocked.

Sidwell Shoots Lucas

Lucas met Sidwell at the construction site where the tennis courts in Marco’s name were to be built. Sidwell began questioning Lucas’ sincerity about his grief. Sidwell confronted Lucas about entering his safe, and Lucas admitted he had taken the photos and given them to Sonny and Laura. “And they are free of you, and so am I,” Lucas seethed.

Sidwell pulled a gun and told Lucas that he could either get shot in the back or face him and what he’d done. Jenz asked if Pascal really killed Marco, or if Lucas set him up and pretended to love his son to gain access to Sidwell. Lucas told him that Marco died because of Sidwell and who he was.

Sidwell didn’t want to hear it, especially when Lucas said that if Marco had survived, he would have wanted to get away from his father permanently. Believing Lucas killed his son, Sidwell shot him three times in the chest.

Liesl Learns the Truth About Cassius

At Wyndemere, Liesl was scared when she woke up with Josslyn but breathed a sigh of relief when “Nathan” walked in. Josslyn encouraged him to tell the truth when it was obvious that he wasn’t there to rescue them.

Cassius explained to Liesl that he wasn’t stillborn as she’d been told and was given to Cesar, who raised him. He explained how he’d changed Nathan’s fingerprints in the system and had his body cremated.

Liesl was furious and hauled off and slapped him. She yelled at Cassius for involving Britt in the project and letting James think his father had returned. To her surprise, Josslyn stood up for him and said she and Britt owed their lives to Cassius.

Cassius explained that the plan was to finish the job and then he and Britt could both get out, but things went sideways, and everything had changed now that Britt had taken off.

Liesl reiterated that she had to finish the project for Britt, and Cassius confirmed that Sidwell and Cullum would kill her if she didn’t. “But they’d have to kill me first,” he promised. Liesl tearfully agreed to do what needed to be done. “Because I have no intention of letting you die… my son,” she cried.

Tensions Explode at Portia’s Baby Shower

At Portia’s baby shower on the Metro Court patio, Curtis and Jordan showed up despite comments about the irony of the location. Portia and Isaiah couldn’t believe they attended, but Curtis said he’d keep the peace — while also not backing down from a fight.

Isaiah asked Jordan if she really believed he would have left her after the accident, but she said she had come to the conclusion that she would never get all the answers she wanted about what happened that night.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth and Felicia questioned Nina about Drew and Jack’s strokes and how odd it was that both occurred at Willow’s house.

Portia Blasts Curtis

Portia played a game in which she read out quotes, and guests guessed who wrote them. When she read “Dada,” both Isaiah and Curtis raised their hands.

Later, Curtis and Isaiah clashed again. Portia broke them up, but Curtis went off and threatened Isaiah. Portia snapped and asked what kind of father he would be to the baby if he couldn’t control his temper. “The more I think about it, the more I realize I gave Trina a gift not being raised by you!” she seethed.
