General Hospital Recap June 5: Cullum Abducts Liesl as Lucas Risks Everything, Brook Lynn Targets Willow
TL;DR: In today’s General Hospital recap, Sonny and Laura secure the blackmail evidence, but Lucas continues to risk it all by returning to Wyndermere and going back into the safe. Meanwhile, Liesl’s search for Britt leads to a dangerous abduction by Cullum, and Ava agrees to keep Phoebe’s paternity secret — for a price.
General Hospital Recap June 5

Sonny and Laura were thrilled when Lucas returned with the envelope of photos and negatives that Sidwell was using to blackmail them. Lucas recalled following Pascal’s instructions, going into the safe and getting it. Laura was still worried that Jenz had said that he’d put her DNA on the gun, but Sonny told her that without a body, they could never tie the gun to that murder.
Laura rejoiced that it was really over, but Lucas didn’t think so. He thought that the answers to all of their problems were probably in Sidwell’s safe. After Lucas left, Sonny and Lucas burned the photos and negatives as they talked about seeing it through to the end. Sonny wanted to knock Sidwell off, but Laura wanted to use her resources as Mayor to go after him.
Sidwell and Cullum Discuss Their Next Move

Meanwhile at Wyndermere, Sidwell told Cullum that his focus was on making Marco’s killer pay. Cullum offered that the murder of his child was “unfortunate” but couldn’t distract them from the completion of the project. Jenz wondered why Cullum had the WSB’s disposal but couldn’t find Britt and Rocco.
Cullum said that Britt was one thing, but Rocco’s parents not calling the FBI by now was interesting. As for the project, Cullum thought he knew of someone who was a mastermind who could pick up where Britt left off.
Liesl Warns Nina and Willow About Drew

At Drew and Willow’s house, Nina and Willow were shocked when Liesl came by and told them to put sunglasses on Drew because he’d been blinking SOS since she arrived. They denied it, but she told them it was obvious and dangerous for both of them.
Willow got a call from the social workers’ office letting them know that the paperwork she’d had expedited was available. She wanted to rush it right over to Chase and called him to say so. When she left, Liesl told Nina that Willow was too involved in her ex’s life and that she needed to rein her in.
Alexis Shares News About Phoebe’s Adoption

Alexis called Brook Lynn and Chase to her office and told them she had found Phoebe’s father, who was open to them adopting her. They didn’t like the idea, thinking that the truth always comes out, as it did with Gio, and thought it was best to just be open about it from the start, but Alexis kept her word.
As they were preparing to submit their application, Willow called to ask for the social worker director’s recommendation, and Chase told her where they were. Furious that Willow was popping up yet again that day, Brook Lynn texted Lucy to meet her immediately and feigned a work excuse to bolt.
Brook Lynn went to Metro Court and told Lucy that Willow was after her husband and gave her some examples, including how she warned her to stay away and then found her at her home with him. “Oh, no, no, no,” Lucy chided. She agreed with Brook Lynn that she couldn’t let that slide. Lucy told her she was the master at adultery and would teach her everything she needed to know.
Ava Confronts Ethan About Phoebe

Across the restaurant, Ethan found Ava at Metro Court, and they talked about the last time they’d met. When Ethan complimented how well she dealt with pressure, she told him if he thought flattery would make her forget that he was the father of Phoebe, he could forget it.
Ethan admitted that he wanted Ava to keep the secret, and that was why he tracked her down. Ava accused him of arranging the adoption for his baby as a money grab from the Quartermaines, but he insisted that wasn’t how it was and that he didn’t even know it was Phoebe until he met her through Brook Lynn and Chase. Ava said she’d believe him if he wasn’t the son of Holly and Luke.
Ethan assured Ava that it wasn’t his plan at all to do the last-minute change of mind for money. He said that he was a gamble, while Brook Lynn and Chase would give Phoebe a loving home. “I’m a mercenary, not a monster. I promised Delilah that her daughter would have a good life,” he added. He asked Ava if it was so much to ask for her to keep Phoebe’s paternity a secret. She agreed, but said her silence would come at a price.
Loose Ends

Willow happily went to Alexis’ office and gave them the letter. As she gushed that she was grateful for all of Chase and Alexis’ support, Chase reciprocated, but Alexis wasn’t as enthused.
Lucas went back to Wyndermere and looked at Marco’s picture on the mantle under the safe before opening it again. When Sidwell walked in, though, it was closed, and he was standing in front of it.
Over at the hospital, Liesl went to search Britt’s office in the hope of finding something helpful to find her. She was on the phone talking about it as she walked to her car. When she got inside, however, Cullum was in the backseat and put a gloved hand over her mouth.
