TL;DR: In today’s General Hospital recap for Thursday, July 23, 2026, Sonny comforts Rocco, Dante admits he destroyed evidence to protect his son, Michael buys Maxie’s Deception shares, and Willow discovers Nina slept with Brennan.

General Hospital Recap July 23

At the Metro Court pool, Sonny came to talk to Rocco. He asked him to take a break because it was important. Sonny told Rocco that he knew about Cullum and it was a hard thing to handle on his own. He understood why he hadn’t told him, but assured him that he never had to keep anything from him.

Sonny told Rocco that if he ever needed to in the future, to come to him and they would work things out together; Rocco was grateful.

Charlotte and Rocco Clash

Across the patio, Gio and Emma were canoodling when Charlotte interrupted. After some awkward small talk when Charlotte gushed about Gio’s heroics as a lifeguard, she went to talk to Rocco, who was more than frosty seeing her, and still felt that she betrayed him.

Charlotte snapped that Danny’s dad went to prison for something Rocco did and that Danny was trying to help him. She said if it were her dad, she’d do the same. Rocco told her Valentin would probably do something, and she would have to, so not to worry; she’ll get her chance.

Charlotte informed Rocco that she and Danny were the ones on Spoon Island providing a distraction so that Carly could save Josslyn. She asked if he really thought he was up to that, while he was sitting at home being safe with his parents. Rocco snapped that the next time she and Danny screwed up, not to expect him to take the fall, then stomped off.

Laura Learns the Truth

Laura asked Dante to come to her office to talk, but she wanted to discuss Anna looking into Cullum’s case. She wondered if they had reason to be concerned about Rocco, since all the evidence was missing.

Dante admitted he destroyed the evidence to protect Rocco.

Later, Sonny came to see Laura and told her that Ric said that without evidence and Jason or Britt didn’t come forward with the truth, there was no reason to think Rocco could be in trouble. Laura said there was a loose end: Anna.

Anna Gives Chase a New Assignment

At the PCPD, Anna asked Chase why he was a beat cop, so he told her his side. She asked if he got rid of the footage of Willow driving on Drew’s street the night of the shooting.

Chase said that he would never destroy evidence and his conscience was clear. He accepted the demotion but did want to be there. Anna told Chase she needed to know if she could trust him. She told him to look into any open cases involving Britt, Cassius, and the missing evidence of Cullum’s shooting. She said that if he could find that, she’d reinstate him as a detective.

Dante came in as Chase left and said he heard she was looking for the Pier 55 shooting evidence but said it was lost permanently. He took responsibility for it happening on his watch.

Anna said that the shooting didn’t seem to have anything to do with Cullum’s death, and she was aware there was more to Cullum’s presence in Port Charles than a WSB director. She suggested that maybe it was better to just leave that case closed.

Peter Advises Anna

Anna told Dante that the fact that it happened on his watch was all she needed to know. He told her he would answer her questions if she changed her mind one day, but she said she trusted him.

Anna asked Dante to be a little warmer to Officer Chase. “If I have my way, the two of you could be partners again soon,” she explained. Dante agreed, and after he left, Peter appeared. “You figured it out,” Peter said. “He’s protecting his son, isn’t he?” Anna replied.

Anna said there couldn’t be any other explanation, and Peter agreed. He said that she had her answer, and now she would put her attention back where it belonged. Peter said that Britt and Cassius were the reason she went through hell — they were just like him, and they were all just like their father.

Michael Buys Into Deception

Tracy left a message for Maxie, telling her she was being unprofessional by not returning her 14 messages. She knew she was divesting her stock, and she wanted it. Meanwhile, Lucy was leaving her a similar message when she realized it and walked into the office to see Tracy.

Tracy told Lucy that she took advantage of Brook Lynn’s marriage falling apart to steal her shares, so what would stop her from using a grieving child to steal Maxie’s? Realizing neither had the shares, they wondered who Maxie sold them to. Just then, Michael walked in and announced it was him. He explained she wanted to sell them to someone who would make choices for the best of the company.

Tracy was pleased, but Michael made it clear that he would make decisions for the good of Deception only. Lucy and Tracy were mad, but he said he only needed one of them to vote with him, and so far, he had Brook Lynn’s.

Cody and James Share an Emotional Goodbye

At Bobbie’s, Cody told Molly that the Scorpios were anxious to get out of town and deal with Cassius’ lies. Molly knew that he wanted James to forgive him, and they were both hopeful that would happen when Mac and Felicia arrived with James.

Molly enthusiastically told James she’d heard he was moving to Australia and took him to the counter to look at wombats on her phone. Mac and Felicia tried to make Cody feel better about what happened. They all hoped that James leaving Port Charles would be good for him, but Mac insisted nothing would be if he didn’t have Cody in his life.

Cody told James that Daffodil birthed a colt the night before. James was excited and remembered how he and Cody helped Daffodil when she was colicky. Cody showed him a video of the colt walking for the first time, and he and James bonded again.

James lamented that he didn’t have his cowboy hat anymore and that in Australia he would need it. Cody went to the car and came back with it, and he was thrilled. Cody told James that he was going to have a blast in Australia and wanted to hear about it, so James agreed to do a weekly video call. The Scorpios and Molly all smiled when Cody and James hugged goodbye.

Nina’s Secret Comes Out

At the lake, Michael and Alexis were with Scout when Willow and Nina rolled up with Drew. Charlotte was happy that her dad could watch her swim. Alexis timed her, and Scout dove into the lake with them all cheering her on.

Willow and Nina went into the boathouse. Alexis told Michael that Scout was certain Drew could recover. She suggested the experience might have turned Drew into a nicer person. Michael said he doubted it as Drew almost clenched his fist next to them.

In the boathouse, Willow and Nina talked about all the things Jack was doing to help them. “That man is proving to be quite determined and thorough,” Nina said. “Oh my god, you slept with Brennan,” Willow gasped.

Willow told Nina that she still couldn’t trust Brennan and said if he didn’t come through immediately, they would have to take drastic actions with Drew.

When Scout returned, Rocco came by. She invited him to come back, noting she’d be there training every day; Rocco smiled. Meanwhile, Nina overheard Alexis warn Scout to be careful not to get her dad too close to the edge of the dock, and it looked like it gave her an idea.
