General Hospital Recap July 13: Jason Morgan and Tristan Roberts Arrive in Port Charles, Sonny and Tracy Shake Hands
TL;DR: In the General Hospital recap for Monday, July 13, 2026, (and GH’s 16,000th episode), Britt struggles with her new freedom, Sonny is nominated to the General Hospital board, Anna finally learns she wasn’t imagining her captivity, and Jason returns home for an emotional reunion with Danny.
General Hospital Recap July 13

Lucas picked up Britt at the PCPD and took her to Bobbie’s. She told him how she’d been told she was released, and she didn’t have Huntington’s. Lucas wondered what she was going to do with her future, now that she had one again.
Britt didn’t know if she would return to the hospital but said she hid a key under the planter upstairs in case Carly locked her out. She went up to have a shower, but the locks had been changed.
Lucas couldn’t believe the scene she made over something she wasn’t supposed to have anyway. He told her he liked her better when she thought she was dying and walked out. Britt sank into a chair and asked the server if refills on her coffee were free. She said they were, but joked she’d draw the line at 16.
Rocco and Danny’s Feud Tears Friends Apart

At the Metro Court, Charlotte and Emma watched a terse exchange between Rocco and Gio as Danny walked in. Rocco was mad that he had broken his confidence with Dante, and thanked him for letting him know he couldn’t be trusted.
Gio made it clear that he wasn’t going to just tell him what he wanted to hear. He said he would always protect him, even if that meant breaking his word sometimes. Regardless of Rocco’s anger, he said he would always be his brother.
Emma told Gio that he did the right thing as Charlotte talked to Danny. She tried to convince him that Rocco made a mistake about Jason, just like Danny did, telling Brennan that Rocco shot Cullum.
When Rocco joined them, Danny laid into him about letting his dad be taken by the WSB on his behalf. Charlotte intervened and Danny stormed off. Rocco tried to defend himself to her but she said the whole thing was complicated. Rocco got mad that his sister didn’t take his side and stormed out as well.
Chase and Brook Lynn Begin to Repair Their Marriage

At Q mansion, Brook Lynn asked Chase if Willow had called him right then, in the middle of their conversation, to go to her, and he said yes. He said that she’d never been in Willow’s position, with no one to count on but herself. “So she needs me in a way that you don’t,” Chase insisted.
Brook Lynn reminded him that regardless of her family support, she needed her husband. “I feel like I did something to see me differently. Was it Gio?” she asked. Chase admitted that when they put adoption on hold the first time, he was disappointed. Brook Lynn asked if she pushed him towards Willow.
Chase said adoption all worked out with Phoebe, and he only wanted to help Willow as a friend. He said he never considered how it would affect his marriage because he didn’t see it as a choice. “You’re my everything. I am so sorry I took our bond for granted,” Chase told her.
Brook Lynn apologized for framing Willow but blamed it on fear of losing Chase. She asked if he wanted to tell Willow what she did, or if she should. Chase thought the whole thing might be dropped at the PCPD and Willow wouldn’t need to know. She was relieved that he was protecting her.
Sonny Is Nominated to the General Hospital Board

At the hospital, Sonny arrived to see Laura. Elizabeth told him that her idea to have him fill the 16th seat on the board was brilliant. He went into Laura’s office, as she gave her the heads up that she was asking Sonny to join the board.
As Tracy went off on her about it, Sonny walked in behind them and heard. Laura interrupted before he and Tracy could argue. She pointed out how Sonny helped put Sidwell behind bars and said he did think about the city and the hospital.
“Sonny Corinthos should never have a say in what goes on in this hospital. He killed Alan and Monica’s son,” Tracy told them. While Laura tried arguing that sticking point, Sonny decided it wasn’t worth it, turned down the offer, and left.
When Sonny told Liz what was going on, she marched into Laura’s office and championed for him. Pointing out that they serve all walks of life, she noted that Sonny sends food anonymously to the night shift, how he paid for wings, the hospital’s history, and how her grandparents would want him on the board.
Touting Sonny as one of the reasons that General Hospital was still there after 63 years, she asked Tracy to put her personal reasons aside and do what was right for the hospital. Tracy agreed not to stand in the way of the nomination, and even shook Sonny’s hand – although she believed the board would not welcome him.
Carly and Brennan Clash Over Valentin

Meanwhile, Carly ran into Jack in the hallway and blasted him again about Josslyn. They argued about her, but Jack stood firm in his belief that his instincts were right about Josslyn being a great agent. He apologized that Carly felt so desperate that she got involved with Valentin. “Because that’s always a bad idea,” he told her.
Carly told Jack that her opinion of Valentin was based on Brennan’s version of him. She said that when it mattered the most, he was willing to sacrifice his life in ways that Jack never would. She said he planned on going back to Steinmauer to save the people he loved.
Carly said that as Jack told her, he didn’t understand love. He swiped that Valentin also would do anything for Anna. “Oh, didn’t your boyfriend tell you? Anna’s back in town,” he said, content with himself as he walked away.
Anna Finally Learns the Truth

At her apartment, Anna let Valentin in, and they told each other how worried they had been about the other. He told her that he’d tried reaching her in France, and she recounted how he’d gone to Steinmauer.
Noting that he had almost killed Carly, Valentin said he was sure that she’d forgiven him as she let him hide out in her attic for the past seven months and 16 days. Valentin said that he was told she was a WSB assignment.
“But that’s not true, is it? You were being held prisoner under Wyndermere,” Valentin added. “How the hell did you know that?” Anna snapped. He told her that Josslyn had been in the same room and saw her note on the wall. She told him about it and how she’d eventually given in and told the WSB what they wanted to hear.
Anna was relieved to know that it wasn’t a delusion that she was in that room. But behind him, Peter said, “See, Anna? You were right all along.” Anna told Valentin how she’d figured out that Cassius was pretending to be Nathan.
Valentin said that using that to get a grip on her senses was impressive. Anna wondered how he turned up on her doorstep a free man. They caught up on Charlotte, noting she was 16. Anna thanked Valentin for coming to see her, and they hugged as he said that wild horses couldn’t keep him away. After he left, Peter returned and told Anna to stay focused because she had work to do. She looked at him and nodded in agreement.
Jason Finally Comes Home

On a plane heading to Port Charles, Dr. Tristan Roberts sat next to Jason Morgan. An attendant asked how he was, and he told her he was good, and soon, he mused to himself, he would have everything he needed.
Jason recalled being taken away and thrown in a cell. His thoughts were interrupted by the man sitting next to him, who noted that they’d been flying for 16 hours and that he was sure he’d be glad to be home.
Jason fell asleep for just a few minutes but had a nightmare. He had a flashback to lying on the cell floor, beaten, when a guard came and told him to get up as he was being released. When they were told they were preparing for the arrival, Tristan told Jason that a car would be waiting for him to take him where he needed to go.
Jason asked Tristan, “What about you?” He told him not to worry about him; he said he promised to get Jason there, wished him luck, and they shook hands.
Danny and Jason Share an Emotional Reunion
Later, Danny was walking by the boathouse when he saw Jason on the dock, and he stopped in his tracks. “Dad?” he asked as Jason turned around. They ran to each other and hugged tightly, as Jason told him he was home.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth was at the nurses’ station when Tristan walked in and introduced himself, saying that he was a new doctor. “Welcome to General Hospital,” she said with a smile.
