General Hospital Recap Jan 28: Tracy Gets Caught, Portia Explains Herself to Trina, Josslyn Is Stuck With Cullum

In the General Hospital recap for Wednesday, January 28, 2026, everyone gets stranded in pairs around Port Charles as the storm sets in.

At Anna’s, Gio and Emma went to get ready to help Tracy move her stuff out of Drew’s house. But Emma wasn’t satisfied with the gloves and other winter gear they had. They couldn’t travel around in the storm, and as power went out around the city, so did cell phones. They assumed Tracy was still at home, and they stayed in as well.

But, Tracy wasn’t at home; she went to Drew’s and let herself in with the key she had made. A moment later, Tracy realized she wasn’t alone when Martin strolled in and accused her of breaking and entering. 

Tracy told Martin she had a key, but he deduced rather quickly how she got it. Martin threatened to call the cops and defended Drew, saying that Tracy must lack compassion to show up at his house while he’s incapacitated in the hospital.

Tracy snapped that if she had no compassion, she wouldn’t have called 9-1-1 when he’d been shot, unlike Drew, who left her son to die when he had a heart attack.

Martin told Tracy she wasn’t allowed to take her stuff; Tracy told him he couldn’t stop her. Martin said she might take Drew’s items as well, but Tracy wasn’t interested in anything of his.

Tracy snapped that Drew wasn’t a Quartermaine and didn’t deserve any of the family heirlooms. Martin told her she wasn’t going anywhere in the storm. He said he’d let her sleep in the house if she asked him nicely.

Carly came home and asked Valentin if he’d heard from Charlotte. He was immediately afraid for her daughter but Carly was confident that she’d left Metro Court on her own, to see him.

Valentin watched out the window for Charlotte but eventually said he was going to go find her himself. Carly told him what a bad idea that was.

Carly reminded Valentin of something he told her when she saw him in Steinmauer, that sometimes we need to just accept that our kids are in danger. Valentin quipped that she was really annoying when she listened to him.

Trina was unhappily surprised when Portia showed up at her door. She questioned why she’d drop by when there was a storm, but Portia thought that would guarantee she wouldn’t turn her away.

Portia went off on her mom, yelling at her for everything she could think of. 

Trina said Portia was a liar and wouldn’t believe anything she said anyway. She thought the only reason it all came out was that she had to say it on the stand. Trina noted that Portia could have a paternity test, but won’t.

Portia tried to explain her point of view on everything that happened, from Taggert and Curtis to Drew’s blackmailing and her current pregnancy, but Trina was unforgiving. Eventually, Portia said she did her best. She apologized if she’d ever made Trina think she expected her to be perfect and said she knew that Trina might have made different choices than she did.

Portia told Trina that if she made the same mistakes, she would still love her because she was her daughter. She asked if Trina could still love her.

Josslyn snuck into Wyndermere but stopped in her tracks when she saw Cullum at the fireplace. She recalled spying on him and Brennan at the pier, when Cullum told Jack he was his boss, not the other way around.

Josslyn finds Cullum in Wyndermere on General Hospital | Photo: ABCJoss waited with her gun drawn. When Cullum left the room, she darted outside and then came back through the front door, calling out for her uncle. 

Cullum demanded to know who she was, so she told him she’d taken a boat to a neighboring island with a keg for a storm-watch party but got too cold and pulled in at Spoon Island instead. 

Cullum claimed to be Sidwell’s caretaker and told her that everyone went to the mainland to ride out the storm. Josslyn continued to lie about herself and her past while they drank brandy. Cullum seemed suspicious of her.  

Lulu went to the hospital to pick up Rocco and asked Nathan to meet her there. She told him about Lulu, and thought she had gone to the stables as she’d asked about going there before she disappeared, but Lulu had said no.

Nathan thought it was mildly amusing that Charlotte was as stubborn and rebellious as her mom. 

Lulu admitted that every day of raising Charlotte was a reminder of how much she owed her mom an apology. 

Lulu said her car wasn’t great in the snow. Nathan offered to drive her to the Quartermaine stables and drop Rocco off at the mansion on the way, so he wouldn’t be home alone if the power was out there.

Later, Lulu and Nathan skidded out on the road and ended up finding shelter in Bad Jenn Cafe; all the power was out on the street.

At Q mansion, Charlotte found Danny and told him she needed to see her dad to tell him that one of the people he trusted the most couldn’t be trusted at all. Charlotte told Danny she’d overheard Nina and Brennan talking and that Nina needed info on Valentin to keep Willow safe.

Danny wanted Charlotte to wait until the storm passed, noting that Valentin would be safe where he was until then. Charlotte recalled how she’d told Nina that she’d seen her dad.

Danny knew Charlotte couldn’t wait and told her he’d go with her. But when he got a weather alert on his phone, he said everyone had to stay put. However, when Rocco came in later, he only saw Charlotte’s scarf.
