General Hospital Recap Jan 23: Peter Terrifies Anna, Cullum Threatens Rocco

In the General Hospital recap for Friday, January 23, 2026, Anna had a shocking visitor, Emma got help, Britt dumped Jason, Chase made a plan, Cullum threatened Rocco to control Britt, and Lucas saw another side to Marco.

General Hospital Recap

Josslyn was visiting Lucas when Ava came in and wanted to join them. Marco arrived and invited her to stay the evening with him. 

Left alone in the living room momentarily, Jossly snooped around but just as she found the fake bookcase, Ava walked in and asked if she was looking for something in particular.

Ava and Josslyn argued about how they both loved the same people but Josslyn said that Ava was only capable of loving herself. 

Ava said it must be tiring to be above everyone, just like her mother. Josslyn said she just saw Ava for who she was, and she couldn’t stand her for it.

Lucas and Marco returned so they went back to pretending to get along. Marco’s mood took a sharp turn when Lucas suggested he and Josslyn go exploring the estate. “Absolutely not!” he snapped.

Gio and Emma went to get help about Anna at the police station, but only Nathan was available. Emma explained she was looking for Mac because she was worried about Anna.

Nathan took Emma and Gio into the interrogation room and she told him why she thought Anna was in trouble. Nathan left to check if there was an update he’d not seen on her.

Emma cried to Gio how worried she was, and said that just because Anna was tough didn’t mean she was invincible; Gio comforted her.

When Nathan returned, he said if Emma was anything like Anna, he trusted her instincts. He told her he knew where to start looking.

At the Q mansion, Chase told Brook Lynn about his demotion. With set hours now, he’d have more time, and he thought they could look at adoption.

Brook Lynn didn’t want to say no, but noted it was a sudden suggestion. Chase reminded her that wanting kids wasn’t new. 

Chase told Brook Lynn how it felt for Dante to be the one to tell him they didn’t want him a detective anymore, even though he was right all along about Willow.

Chase and Brooklyn were hopeful Anna would reinstate him when she returned. Chase said he could also take the exam. Brook Lynn said she would support whatever he chose, even if it was another career.

“I want to be a police officer. I want to be a detective,” Chase told Brook Lynn. He said he’d rebuild his career and build a family with her.

In a cell, Anna woke up to find Peter in front of her. She gasped as he asked if she missed him. He yelled at her that she left him to die, as Anna told herself that he wasn’t really there.

Peter sneered that death wasn’t the same as it was before. “You thought Nathan was dead. You thought Britt was dead,” he told her. Peter said he was alive, and so was his father. “That’s the thing about our family: we don’t stay dead.”

Anna told herself it wasn’t real. “I watched you die!” she cried. Peter told her that her father had many tricks and he’d fooled her before.

Peter told Anna that his father was so devoted ot her, it made sense that he would want to be with her. He told her that Cesar was almost ready to have her. “And the time is almost here,” he said.

Trying to keep her emotions in check, Anna called out to Faison, saying if he could hear her, she wanted to see him. Peter smiled. 

At Bobbie’s, Britt told Jason that Carly reminded her that she would always come first. When she asked Jason to prove her wrong, he refused to answer. “That right there, that’s your choice,” Britt said.

Britt blasted Jason for the past, and said she thought she’d be over it, but she couldn’t get past what happened. She ordered him to stay away from her.

Once Britt stormed out, Jason asked what happened before he got there. Upset, Carly insisted she did nothing wrong and didn’t ask to be in the situation.

Carly told Jason what happened with Britt and how she was provoking a fight. Jason was determined to find out why.

At the hospital, Rocco was doing his community service when Cullum tracked him down. He claimed he was needing directoin to Britt’s office. Britt was just arriving when she saw them together.

Britt walked into the room, and she and Cullum faked introductions. They went to her office and she asked why he was with Rocco again for the second time in one day. Cullum said he was proving a point.

Cullum said he could access Rocco any time. “And do what? Make him disappear, too?” Britt asked. She pointed out his family tree and the spotlight it would bring. 

Cullum threatened to put Rocco in Steinmauer. Britt told him he didn’t have to prove anything; she was already doing what he wanted, and she was cooperating.

Cullum told her that actions spoke louder than words, and there were consequences she could count on. “I understand,” Britt cried. Before leaving, Cullum told her that from now on, she would comply for Rocco’s sake — and her own.
