In the moments after the jury read the verdict, the courtroom was shocked. Trina couldn’t believe Willow got away with it. Dante and Turner exchanged a look. Michael walked out, and Willow hugged Alexis, who looked numb.

The judge told Willow she was free to go. Drew looked upset as Willow hugged Nina first and then thanked Chase. Drew marched over and kissed her, as he said he knew she’d be exonerated.

Drew tried suggesting a private celebration, but Nina enthusiastically invited herself and Chase as well.

Before leaving, Alexis told Drew that she held up her end of the deal and expected him to do the same.

On their way out, Drew and Willow stopped at Turner’s table. Drew told her that he wouldn’t hold it against her that she did her job.

When Drew told Turner he’d be in touch, she asked about what. He told her he wanted charges pressed against Michael.

After the others left, Turner and Dante approached Chase. Turner said that Willow may have walked out a free woman, but after Chase’s interference, he could be the one going to prison.

Chase denied having anything to do with the missing footage. He accused Dante and Turner of not doing their jobs properly before leaving.

Once alone, Turner told Dante to build her a case against his brother.

At the law office, Sonny came to see Diane. He told Suzanne he hoped Willow would be acquitted for everyone’s sake.

Suzanne was surprised, but Sonny explained that Willow was the mother of his grandchildren. He wished Alexis didn’t go after Michael, but standing back, he could understand why.

Sonny told Suzanne about Drew’s ultimatum with Scout. “You and I both know we would do anything for our kids and grandkids,” Sonny said. Suzanne got a text from Alexis letting her know that Willow had been acquitted.

Alexis returned to her office and threw her files. Suzanne wondered why she was asking as she lost. “Willow’s guilty, isn’t she?” she asked.

Alexis wondered how long Suzanne had known. She said since they practiced her testifying, but she knew for sure when Alexis accidentally said it during her closing remarks.

Alexis told her about the last-minute information she got and why she couldn’t use it. She regretted defending her while destroying Portia’s life and implicating Michael.

Suzanne told Alexis that now she’d have access to her granddaughter and to focus on that. Alexis said she couldn’t blame Willow for what she did after everything Drew had done to her. “I just wish I could have argued that,” Alexis said. Alexis wished she could tell Drew, but knew he wouldn’t believe it.

Drew and Willow came home, and she said that the only thing that would make things better was if Wiley and Amelia were there. Willow grimaced when Drew said that he promised she’d win in court, and he promised to get her kids back, too.

Scout ran in, and Drew told her the good news. She asked if she could see her grandmother, but before anyone answered, Nina showed up to celebrate.

Drew asked Willow to make Scout a snack, then told Nina she could leave. Nina snapped that he couldn’t keep her away from her daughter, but Drew intended to do exactly that.

Drew said he’d had a change of heart, and was going to tell Willow that her own mother wanted her found guilty so she could play hero. Nina denied saying that and knew Willow would believe her.

Nina called Drew nuts when he told her that he would make sure that Willow saw Nina as someone trying to undermine her relationship.

Drew ordered Nina to leave. She reluctantly agreed for Scout’s sake, but she promised him that she would be back.

Chase showed up with flowers for Willow and Drew tried to send him away as well. Willow came into the room before he could, and she hugged him while Drew tried to hold in his temper.

Willow thanked Chase for everything, as Drew said Nina had to go and they’d celebrate another time. Once alone, Willow told Drew she was happy to have some alone time, and asked him to just hold her.

Sonny came to Michael’s, and he told him he left as soon as the verdict was read. He was sure he was going to be charged for shooting Drew.

Michael was livid and needed to protect his kids from living under the same roof as Drew. Sonny advised him not to think about that and tried to assure him it would all work out.

Michael told Sonny he didn’t do it, but knew Turner would come after him just as hard as she did Willow to save face. Sonny told him it wouldn’t be Turner.

Trina lamented to Kai that they had committed a crime and covered it up. She suggested that Willow may have gotten away with it, but she’s stuck with Drew, and maybe that was punishment enough.

Kai said he was going to resign from working for Drew and that if Michael were exonerated, he would go to the police on his own.

Trina and Kai argued who should be the one to face the consequences. Kai said he loved Trina too much to let her throw her life away. “There is one thing that came out of this crazy mess: it brought the two of us back together,” he added.

Meanwhile on Spoon Island, Anna woke up to the sound of Faison, promising her that not even death could part them. She said it was a trick, and that she and Jason discussed that someone was trying to make her believe he was alive before she was taken.

The voice told Anna that someone’s brains were in a jar, but they weren’t his. “Faison” claimed that he was indeed the one and only, and she would see it for herself.

“Faison” told Anna that they would be living together soon in their new house.

Later, Alexis was putting her files away when Suzanne knocked on the door. She said there was someone there, insisting on seeing her. Alexis opened the door and Scout rushed into her arms.

At home, Willow poured Champagne for her and Drew. As he rambled about them going away, she hugged him…then stabbed a needle in his neck. As he gasped and fell to the floor, she mused that things were going to work out after all.
