Marco went to see Britt to talk about progress, but Britt reminded him that Sidwell killed Dalton, and she couldn’t do her work without the lab.

Marco revealed that his dad set up a lab on Spoon Island, where she could work under their direct supervision. Britt didn’t know how she’d explain why she would spend so much time there.

Marco told Britt to come up with a cover story to explain her absence and to move to Wyndermere to work in the lab.

In the attic, Valentin told Carly that he needed her to search Brennan’s hotel room. Valentin said that Brennan kept hiding places outside of the office.

Valentin told Carly that Brennan knew digital copies could be hacked so he would have hard copies, and he wanted Carly to take pictures of what she found.

Carly balked but agreed. Valentin said he wouldn’t be there when she returned as he was going to Wyndermere.

Outside the courtroom, Michael assured Jacinda that they should be there. Nina wasn’t happy to see Jacinda there but Michael didn’t care. Curtis wondered why Trina was still interested in the trial; Jordan showed up and Trina went to find Kai.

Meanwhile, Dante asked Jack if the WSB tampered with his evidence.

Dante said he had experience as a WSB agent, and knew that they often intervened with police business that way. Brennan denied taking the evidence.

Inside the courtroom, Drew was assuring Willow that the jury would find her not guilty. He said that when Michael was convicted, she’d get her kids back. Willow worried when Suzanne arrived but not Alexis. She had a stone cold stare when Michael entered the courtroom.

Willow complained to Drew and Nina that Michael had the nerve to be there. Drew said he was being smart because, he said, when you’re guilty, the best thing to do is hold your head high and pretend you’re innocent.

Dante told Turner that Brennan denied evidence tampering, but now they wondered if it was Chase.

Alexis told Diane that she couldn’t defend her client anymore. “She did it! Willow shot Drew,” Alexis revealed. Diane was shocked but questioned why she thought that.

After Alexis explained, Diane told her that if she mentioned anything in the closing arguments, she’d be disbarred. Alexis said if she withdrew her representation, then there would be a mistrial, and Willow could be retried.

Alexis raged that she had probably convinced the jury that Michael was guilty, and he didn’t. Her gut said that the jury would acquit Willow. “Unless I use my closing to tell them what happened,” she suggested.

Alexis said that she had to protect Scout from being raised by a murderer. Diane noted she would be excised from Scout’s life. She asked what was more important: Scout’s future or her duty as a lawyer. Diane said she just answered her own question when she chose Scout’s future.

Pascal ordered Anna to get up and put her hands behind her head. She didn’t and claimed that because she wasn’t getting her treatments, her hands were numb.

Anna pointed out that she was useless to them without her treatments. Pascal consulted Sidwell, who told her to keep an eye on her.

Ava came by and noted that Lucy thought she had claim to Sidwell’s attention but Sidwell said that he was interested in Ava, making her smile.

Pascal returned to Anna, who was lying unconscious on the floor, He opened the door and held a gun as he checked for a pulse.

Anna sprang to life, and they wrestled with the gun pointed at her as she fought back. Eventually, Anna got the gun and pointed it at Pascal.

In the living room, Valentin anxiously searched for the passageway door trigger under the mantle. Ava walked in and told him she had it removed — then asked if Sidwell knew he was there.

Alexis showed up at court at the last moment, just as the judge entered the courtroom. Justine did her closing arguments first, laying it out ot the jury why Willow was guilty.

Willow sat stoically as Justine walked through how Willow learned of the judge’s murder, and knew that Drew was the one keeping her from her children. She was triggered into shooting him that night, and letting Michael be blamed during the trial.

Trina and Kai hoped that Alexis told the truth when it was her turn, but the first words of her closing arguments was that Willow did not shoot Drew. She told the jury all the reasons that Willow was innocent and pointed the finger at Michael instead.

“Willow had every reason–” Alexis said, then corrected herself and said Michael. She asked why Willow would do anything to take her away from her children as it didn’t make sense.

After the judge sent the jury to deliberate, Dante told Justine that she presented a solid closing. Turner worried that they didn’t have all the evidence.

Drew gloated to Nina that Alexis may have been hostile but it was playing out exactly how he promised Willow it would: She’d be exonerated, Michael would go to prison, and Willow would get her kids back.

Willow thanked Alexis and said that if she went free, it would all be because of her. Behind them, Trina and Kai watched intently.

Carly went to Brennan’s hotel room, found an envelope of documents, and took photos. When she was done, she heard Brennan and Britt in the hallway.

Britt insisted that they talk and so he reluctantly brought her inside. Carly hid in the bathroom, then quickly tried to get changed into a robe.
