General Hospital Recap for Thursday, July 30: Serena Returns, Peter Orders Anna to Kill Britt, Jason Recognizes GH’s New Doctor

TL;DR: In today’s General Hospital recap for Thursday, July 30, 2026, Serena Baldwin returned to Port Charles, Peter urged Anna to kill Britt, Ethan’s budding romance with Ava took an unexpected turn, and Jason realized Dr. Tristan Roberts isn’t who he claims to be.

General Hospital Recap Thursday, July 30

At Metro Court, Lucy vented to Felicia over losing Maxie’s Deception shares to Michael before they were interrupted by Serena Baldwin’s return to Port Charles. Serena explained she’d been traveling and taking a break after burning herself out, while also sharing that Scott was happily living in Key West. She was especially excited about finally getting to know her brother, Cody.

Once Felicia left, Serena admitted she’d squandered her entire trust fund after trusting the wrong people and making a series of poor decisions. Rather than criticize her daughter, Lucy revealed she needed Serena’s help. With the Quartermaines a threat to her control of Deception, Lucy asked Serena to help her as she fought to reclaim the company.

Brook Lynn Learns Willow Is Single Again

Across the patio, Michael met Brook Lynn for their Deception meeting, but was late. He explained he’d gone to see Willow because Drew recovered. He shared that Drew and Willow were divorcing. Brook Lynn immediately worried Willow would set her sights on Chase.

Later, when Brook Lynn told the news to Chase, he insisted his priorities hadn’t changed. Brook Lynn and Phoebe were his family, and he looked forward to officially finalizing Phoebe’s adoption the following day.

Ava and Ethan Decide to Explore Their Connection

After getting out of the pool, Ethan admitted that what began as a fling now felt like something much deeper. He told Ava that the way she put Phoebe’s needs first had changed the way he saw her and made him want to explore where their relationship could go.

Although Ava remained cautious after past mistakes, she admitted Ethan felt different and agreed they should see where things lead. Trina later encouraged Ava, who admitted she was simply enjoying spending time with a man for the first time in a long while.

Later, Ethan’s easy-going optimism disappeared when Ethan spotted a man speaking with a pool attendant. Ethan froze in his tracks as the sight clearly rattled him.

Marshall Tries to Change Curtis’ Mind

Stella visited with Tracy and admitted the Isaiah she knew didn’t resemble the dangerous man Curtis described and worried Curtis was letting anger cloud his judgment. 

She feared that Curtis wouldn’t back down and that he would make the situation much worse by not taking the plea deal. She admitted that although she loved Curtis, he was wrong.

Meanwhile, Marshall reunited with Curtis while visiting the baby, and privately urged his son to reconsider rejecting Isaiah’s plea deal. He worried that what could be months in prison would turn into years. 

Marshall warned that proving Curtis’ case in court would be difficult and reminded him that even a not guilty verdict wouldn’t erase Isaiah from Dez’s life. Stella joined them and reiterated the need for priorities and doing what was right. Despite everyone’s advice, Curtis later promised his son that nothing would separate them.

Jason Defends Britt While Anna Faces Peter’s Manipulation

Jason visited Anna and the two reflected on the trauma they’d both endured. Anna admitted she still couldn’t understand how Cullum and Sidwell convinced her Faison was alive, believing only someone intimately connected to Faison could have recreated the deception.

Jason insisted Britt had been their victim as well. He thought it was over now, and urged Anna to move forward. Jason offered to be there for Anna if she needed him and said he was glad she was back.

After Jason left, Peter appeared once again and told her that Jason was lying to her. He insisted Cassius and Britt were responsible for everything that happened to her and said the cycle of violence would never end unless Britt died. Peter chillingly told Anna that if she wanted to protect her loved ones, she needed to kill Britt.

Jason Discovers Tristan’s Secret

At General Hospital, Isaiah prepared for his upcoming trial with Curtis while Britt encouraged him to keep his emotions under control in court. Jack Brennan also paid an unexpected visit to Dr. Tristan Roberts, revealing the new physician was secretly working undercover for the WSB despite Tristan’s attempts to keep the agency at arm’s length.

Later, Britt and Tristan worked together on a patient just as Jason arrived at the hospital. Jason immediately recognized Tristan as the WSB operative who escorted him home from Jakarta, exposing that the seemingly ordinary doctor was anything but.

Tracy Gets Great News

Michael came home and told Tracy that Drew and Willow were getting a divorce. She cackled and said that Yuri owed her $50 for a bet they had on whether or not they would last a year.

Michael wasn’t convinced Willow would simply walk away from Drew, fearing she hated being alone and would do whatever it took to find another relationship, most likely Chase. Tracy told Michael that Chase had proven his loyalty to Brook Lynn and Phoebe, and didn’t think Willow was something to worry about. 

Jason Recognizes GH’s New Doctor

At the hospital, Tristan went into an exam room and found Brennan waiting for him. He told him he was checking in but Tristan was miffed. He said that he would submit a report when there was something to report and didn’t want to be bothered by the WSB until then. Jack said he’d pass along the message but reminded him he didn’t get to make those types of decisions.

Meanwhile, Britt and Isaiah talked about their lives and got caught up on his anger towards Curtis and why. Isaiah insisted that he would make sure Curtis paid and wanted to throw the book at him. 

Britt warned him to not come across aggressively on the stand. Isaiah said he was just venting to a friend, and he knew how to talk in court. Britt noted she didn’t have many friends and didn’t recognize the conversation as such.

Tristan interrupted and asked Britt to see one of his patients who was expecting. As they were talking, Jason came off the elevator and recognized Tristan.
