TL;DR: In today’s General Hospital recap, the political maneuvering over Drew’s congressional seat takes a shocking turn when Willow and Laura are forced to do Sidwell’s bidding, leaving Alexis and Sonny stunned. Meanwhile, Sidwell visits Drew to gloat and reveal the truth about his involvement in helping Willow. Trina has an intense confrontation with Izaiah about Portia.
General Hospital Recap Feb 26

Ezra came to see Laura and said he was sent by Sidwell. Laura shamed him about being Jenz’s goon, but he didn’t care. Ezra told her that Willow was to be Drew’s replacement.
After they argued, Ezra reminded her she didn’t have a say in it. Laura wanted to know why Willow, but he didn’t question things. Laura figured it was because Willow was too inexperienced to fight back.
Laura said she was sticking with Alexis, but Ezra said she was the worst choice possible.
A Missed Call

Izaiah came to see Portia at work and brought her food and a checklist to make sure she was taken care of. Portia noticed the missed call and wondered if it was a pocket dial by Trina. She wished she were ready to talk.
Izaiah wondered if Trina was silent because they were living together. Portia admitted they stepped over a lot of steps in their relationship, but Izaiah said he was good with everything.
Kai Worries About His Career

At Trina’s, Kai worried that his political career was over. He didn’t know who was taking Drew’s seat, and worried it would ruin his internship. Trina cheered him up and got him to think positively.
As Trina went to leave, she grabbed her phone and accidentally called her mom. She admitted she’d thought about calling her but was upset that she was still with Izaiah as she was pregnant with someone else’s child.
Trina was shocked when Izaiah then showed up at her door. He wanted to talk, but she tried to slam the door in his face. Reluctantly, she let him in to talk as Kai left to see what was happening at Drew’s office.
Izaiah Questions Trina

Trina laid into Izaiah with all her assumptions and judgments, accusing Portia of lying and cheating again. “Things were more complex than that, and for you to pretend they weren’t isn’t fair to anyone,” Izaiah replied.
Izaiah asked why she would cut herself off from her mother’s love when she’d do anything for her. “She’s not willing to dump you,” Trina told him. “If your mother and I did break up, what then?” Izaiah questioned. Trina wondered if he was offering to leave her mom.
Izaiah told Trina that he loved Portia and was staying; he just wanted Trina to take a good look at what she was doing and why. He suggested that Trina wanted to punish her mother until she was alone. “I don’t expect you to like me, but I want you to think long and hard about what this rift is doing to your mother, because after everything she’s told me about you, I don’t believe that deep down inside, you want her to be unhappy,” he said.
Sidwell Comes To Collect

Willow left Drew’s room, who pretended to be asleep until the door shut, then his eyes flew open. She was surprised to find Sidwell at her door. He came in very excited, but she declined his offer to take Drew’s seat in Congress.
Willow tried to tell Jenz that, as the custody agreement had just kicked in, she had her kids spend the night for the first time, and Wiley had trouble sleeping. She said they all needed some adjustment time, and she needed to be present.
Sidwell didn’t care and told her he’d helped her; now she needed to help him. Willow said she knew he could have her children taken away, but wondered why he wanted someone he had to force.
Sidwell told her that she had Drew’s name and was the noble wife nursing him, which would bring her prestige and power against Michael — and keep her children with her forever. “Don’t you want that? I advise you to please be smarter than your husband,” Sidwell said.
Jenz said that as long as Willow cooperated, she would have a long, happy life with her children. He suggested she pick a better outfit for the press conference.
Sidwell Gives Drew Shock Treatment

Nina arrived and talked to Sidwell about her support for Willow in Congress. She thought she’d do better than Drew, but said it was a low bar.
Willow returned in a new suit and was ready to leave. Sidwell told them to go ahead as he wanted to visit Drew and would let himself out.
When Jenz went to Drew’s bedside, he started blinking rapidly, but Sidwell mocked him and said he knew Willow put him in that bed — because he helped her.
Sidwell told Drew how he figured out that Willow shot him and then got her the meds that were keeping him in his locked-in state. He added it was Drew’s performance on the stand that convinced him and Willow to join forces because he was a liability.
Sidwell gleefully told Drew that Willow was taking his seat in the House of Representatives. He told him to stop trying to send distress signals, as his caregivers had been paid by him to look the other way.
Sidwell added that, given how the whole town hated him, he doubted he’d have any visitors. He propped Drew up to show him the news conference on his phone.
Diane Returns To Alexis’ News

Diane was at the office when Alexis got there and was able to stand to hug her. Alexis told her that she might be taking time off to replace Drew in Congress.
Diane was thrilled for her; Alexis said that Laura was announcing it later that day and asked Diane to grill her as the press would.
Jason and Sonny’s Killer Plans

Jason went to Sonny’s and told him about his conversations with Cullum and Brennan. He said Cullum is way more dangerous than Sidwell, and the sooner he is dead, the better.
Sonny agreed that Cullum needed to be gone. Jason said all they needed was Britt’s medication out of Wyndermere, but they had a new way in: Lucas.
The Press Conference

Alexis called Sonny and told him she was taking over Drew’s seat. Sonny was surprised and said she’d do a good job, but after he hung up, he told Jason that Laura made a big mistake.
After she hung up, Alexis and Diane talked more about the obstacles Alexis would face. She realized a press conference was starting without her.
Everyone watched as Laura announced that Willow was replacing Drew. Willow took the podium and said that taking care of people was what she did best, and it was her honor to do her husband’s work and represent everyone in D.C.
Alexis was stunned, Drew could only watch, and Sonny told Jason that it looked like Sidwell cut Laura off at the pass.
