TL;DR: In today’s General Hospital recap, a key piece of evidence confirms a lie to Dante. Meanwhile, Willow’s political ambitions are fueled by Nina, Alexis decides to throw her hat in the ring, Spinelli’s anxiety about Maxie and Nathan peaks, and Lulu shares her conflicted feelings with Laura.
General Hospital Recap Feb 18

At Nina’s office, Willow corrected her when she called her home “Drew’s house.” “My house,” Willow said quickly. Nina suggested a party for the kids to celebrate her homecoming. Willow told her there were more changes to come.
When Willow told Nina about the suggestion that she take over Drew’s position in Congress, Nina was all over it. She told her she was a quick learner and totally capable, and that Willow had a secret weapon: Nina.
Willow was surprised by Nina’s determination to see her become a politician. Nina told her that she had heart, and that would make her better at the job than Drew ever was because he used the power as a weapon. She suggested that Willow put Drew in a long-term facility.
Alexis Weighs Her Options

Alexis told Molly and Suzanne that Laura offered her Drew’s job. They were excited, but Alexis noted it wasn’t Laura’s call; she was just making a recommendation to the governor.
Alexis wasn’t sure she’d be able to handle being in government, as she’d end up having to compromise her values at some point. Molly told her to look at it from the perspective of compromising for the greater good, and she could be a role model for Scout.
By the time she’d heard everything Molly and Suzanne had to say on the subject, Alexis decided to go for it.
Kristina Reads Cody

Kristina caught Cody on the phone and asked what he was hiding from Molly. He told her that he was in a book club. Kristina insisted that he read Molly’s entire book.
Kristina told Cody that Molly always expressed herself through writing. She said the book was about two people who really got to know each other beyond biases and first impressions.
Cody couldn’t argue that it was a good premise, and Mollly was a good writer. Kristina asked him to read it all the way to the end and then decide what he thought. She said that Molly thought he was a hero, and it was his chance to prove her right.
Spinelli Spirals

Brook Lynn came to Maxies and found Spinelli lost in thought. He said it had just hit him how much he enjoyed living there. Brook Lynn wondered why he was talking in the past tense.
Spinelli said that how he handled the day could change his life, and he could lose Maxie and his family. As his insecurities spilled out, Brook Lynn reminded him that Maxie had a say, and he was talking like his future was already decided.
Spinelli cried that he knew how deeply Maxie loved Nathan. Spinelli tortured himself about the moment that Maxie and Nathan saw each other for the first time.
Brook Lynn said that didn’t matter because he was the one who swept Maxie off her feet every day. “I do!” Spinelli realized. He said he would sweep her off her feet, but needed Brook Lynn’s help.
Lulu’s Mixed Emotions

Lulu went to see Laura in a bit of a flux, so Laura held her calls and moved an appointment so they wouldn’t be interrupted. “This is about Maxie, isn’t it?” Laura asked.
Lulu said she prayed daily that Maxie would wake up, and never wanted to think about the alternative. Laura could relate all too well. Lulu noted that Maxie was coming home to the love of her life.
Laura agreed that Maxie had every right to reclaim her life, but noted that Lulu and Nathan’s feelings were real. “I can’t feel this way. Even if it’s right for me, it is wrong for everyone else,” Lulu told her.
Laura could tell that Lulu’s feelings for Nathan were deeper than Lulu thought. She wondered if Lulu had talked to Nathan about how he was feeling.
Dante’s Disturbing Revelation

Nathan returned to the station and told Dante that Michael had given him his key ring. He thought it would be a long shot, but they still had to check.
Nathan was worried about Maxie coming home and thought it was best to stay busy at work. He was invited to her homecoming but wanted to wait to hear from her directly before showing up.
Dante understood the complexity of the situation. Nathan didn’t want to seem like some sort of obligation to Maxie.
Nathan compared the situation to Lulu’s coma and how he’d moved on with Sam. He said that Maxie might be just as committed to Spinelli as Dante was to Sam.
Dante had a call from forensics. When he hung up, he told Nathan that his brother lied, and a key to Drew’s house was on his key ring.
